Scan Pictures for your Zaurus

I now and then get requests from Zaurus users who want pictures, or a company logo, scanned.  To use as a startup screen, FAX, or letter head.

Well here is the deal. I will scan and format the pictures for the Zaurus, and e-mail the images to you for the price of $5.- for each picture. You can choose between Zaurus, Mac, or PC format. If you include a formatted floppy disk, and a stamped return envelope, I will also save the images to the disk for you.   After I receive the pictures it only takes about a day to get them scanned and e-mailed to you.

Make sure to specify if you want the images sent back to you as a .ZRF or a .GIF.  The ZRF file need to be downloaded to your Zaurus directly.  However the .GIF can be opened on both a Mac and a PC.

Use yellow sticky notes to show me how you would like the image cropped.

My scanner gets good Zaurus images from pictures half the size of a regular wallet size photograph.   Please don't send me stuff bigger than 8x10 inches.

Please include a stamped envelope if you would like to have the pictures back.

Things to remember:

A. Photographs should be close-ups, of course, some pictures like scenics and your favorite car, just has to be that way.  To make sure you get a good image, I always make a couple of versions from which you can choose. You may keep them <g>.

B. Drawings and logo art should be clear.  Small text does not read well on the Zaurus.  If you need me to add small text, please talk to me about it via e-mail first.

C. Logos for FAX or start-up screen looks best on a white background.
