This is Zygos' story.
We used to have a Dogue de Bordeaux female, named Snoop Doggy Dogs Beau. We're completely crazy
about this beautiful breed. At that time we would like to breed a litter with Beau, so we took
her to a male named Bumper. This breeding unfortunately didn't work out. Still, we would like
to have a Dogue de Bordeaux pup, it would be fantastic to own two such beautiful dogs, at least
we thought so. Bumper's owner (who became a friend of ours) told us, Bumper would be a father
soon.

One male from this litter was available to us. It was the last-choice male, but that didn't
matter to us, we had a Bumper son and that was the most important thing to us. We named the
puppy Zygos; since he didn't have a kennelname. We thought it was a good idea to give him a
special name so that anyone would know who Zygos was. Most Dogue de Bordeaux people know Zygos
by now.
Zygos was born on 28-11-1996, and he came to us in Febr. '97, a little late, because by
then he was already 12 weeks old, which was visible in his behaviour. He was a little shy
towards other people, but that problem is over now. He took up on that and became a real
"cuddle-dog", to us and other people he knows well. He's just a great Dogue de Bordeaux.

Abey-Joy de Bordeaux Rouge
Zygos is a wonderful Dogue de Bordeaux to us, he's living a good life with our family.
Together with Abey-Joy Le Bordeaux Rouge he can really enjoy himself.
For almost 2 years
we had 3 Dogue de Bordeaux, but in May '99 our Dogue de Bordeaux Beau died due to a serious
bleeding of the braintissue. Beau is Abey-Joy's mother. Zygos had a hard time after she died,
which lasted for a few weeks, but he's OK now.
Me myself, I still miss Beau very much, but I also know she lives on in her daughter
Abey-Joy Le Bordeaux Rouge, and we all enjoy that. There will never be another Beau, but life
goes on, and we have to get on as well.
We hope to breed a Zygos x Abey-Joy litter this year, so that in a few months time there will
be 3 Dogue de Bordeaux again, playing, swimming, walking and lying lazy in our garden.
It's an honour to have Zygos elected for Dog of the Month by Molosserworld.
I never expected Zygos to be chosen for this.
