Pebbles at 8 weeks of age
We bought our first Great Dane 1994, a black male, "Dino" (Kingsize Handsome Highlight) who soon became Swedish, Finnish and
International Ch. He sired his first litter in 1995, at the Kingsize Kennels in Bro, Sweden - the dame was a harlbitch named Kingsize Cheerful
Chessie. In this litter was six harls, five of them perfectly showmarked, four beautyful bitches - we picked out one of them and called her
"Pebbles", a very good choice!
"Dino" was not quite happy having to have a puppy at home first, but they soon became the best of friends
and are now always running and playing together, they often sleep together in the same bed too.

"Pebbles" started her showcareer when she became BIS-1 Puppy or BOB Puppy three times at GD-specials, she took 14 Certificats/CACs
before she became Champion. She has Championships in Norway, Finland and Denmark too and is also an International Ch.
Her greatest success was when she became BOB and WorldWinner-98 for Italian judge Ms. Marisa Brivio-Chellini at the World Dog Show in
Helsinki 1998, I have never been so nervous, though I was not even in the showring - her breeder/co-owner Monica Stavenborn was the handler.
"Pebbles" have had a lot of triumphs at shows, but the most important thing is that she is a wonderful housedog and companion. She is a
charming and kind bitch who loves lying in the sofa with her head in her mums lap or sit at ones knees with her legs at the floor, she enjoys
playing with children and her favourite play is for the moment to take something in her mouth and let them chase her, she runs slowly so
anyone can follow, her tail is wagging and she let them come as close as they can neary catch her.
Both she and her sire "Dino" has attended obediance classes and they have both enjoyed it. Its a necessity when you have a large breed like
GD or any molosser. A spoiled giant dog who is jumping, barking and pulling the lead is not a bit charming.
"Pebbles" is now three and a half years old and we are looking forward to this autumn when she is supposed to have her first litter!

Do YOU want to nominate a Molosser for Dog of the Month? It
does not have to be a dog who have achieved alot at shows, other reasons count as much to be Dog
of the Month at Molosserworld.
