The Boxer Octaaf vd Kloosterport

Real name: Octaaf vd Kloosterport
Pet name: Okkie
Titles: Duch Champ, Germany V.D.H. Champ, Winner 1999
Father: Plato vd Hazenberg
Mother: Nina vd Kloosterport
Breeders: Kees & Martha Langedijk, Holland.
Owner: Kees & Martha Langedijk, Holland.

We did breed Octaaf vd Kloosterpoort ourselves about 2 years ago. He was born as the last puppy of eight male puppies, therefore we called him Octaaf, which means number eight. We have chosen Okkie as his nickname. Okkie's father is Plato vd Hazenberg and his mother is Nina vd Kloosterpoort.

When Okkie was nine months old he did eat a tennis ball, with the result that he was very ill for two days. We really thought that we would loose him. Luckily he went through a successfull operation, and the next day he was on his feets again, ready to play.
When Okkie was one year of age I started his education so he would get his AD, and four months later he successfully passed his exam. I remember that day very good since the weather were very bad, and I had problems to stay on my bike. Okkie however had no problems with the weather at all, since he really enjoy bad weather.

Okkie are not only a beautiful dog, but he also have a greet personality. He is always very sweet and gentle at home.
He got his Dutch CH. and German VDH CH. titles very quick, and he also became winner 1999. Now we are working for his fourth title; German IBC CH.

Okkie very much likes water and lakes. He always sees his chance to jump into the water when we are not looking. He always have a terrible smell as a wet dog, to our frustration. When you see him wet you would not believe that he really is a Champion Boxer. You would more expect him to be stray dog.
Okkie's plays very hard and his mother never want to play with him.
Accasionally there comes a female on visit to mate with Okkie. I always can see a grin that looks like a smile when the females visits, so I really think he enjoy these visits. Okkie have a hard dog life.
We hope that we will enjoy our live with Octaaf for many years to come.
