THE MOUNTAINS OF ATTIKI
There are three mountains in Attiki surrounding Athens city. Parnitha (1413 m.), Penteli (1107 m.) and Ymittos (1026 m.). Although they're not very high, they are covered with rich forests of pine trees (Penteli and Ymittos) and fir trees (Parnitha). Parnitha is a national forest and the roads and paths there are for everyone a real pleasure to walk.
