OPPOSITES IN NATURE

Just when I thought, that Winter would go,
Late in the night, more fluffy, white snow!
This morning, the shadows made daring designs,
On the white "canvas", beneath the stately pines!
No more signs of ugly, grey blemishes there,
Even the tracks are covered with meticulous care!
Branches and needles glowing, with Nature's Beauty,
As if millions of painters had been doing their duty!
The sun now gently rises, just over the hill,
So warm and brilliant and soon there will,
Be trickles of water...some snow will be gone!
The sky will stay clear and the whole day long,
The curving shadows will change and shift,
An ever-changing pattern...a natural gift!
And when the sun sets once again, in the west,
Nature will be at its very best!
A rosy glow will coat my beloved hill,
Sunsets always give such a thrill!
The best is saved for last and then,
Darkness descends, once again!
My conclusion, after all of these scenes,
Is that opposites do attract, it clearly seems!
Hot and cold...warm or cool....
All put here, according to some rule!
Yes! Just to contribute, to what life means!
I'll open wide eyes and dream new dreams!
