Here's a picture of three of the four adventurers hiking
up a sand dune deep in the Sahara desert. We traveled over the High
Atlas Mountains and down the other side again until we were within 20 km
of the Algerian border.
This is a picture of me standing in front of a castle?
There's a moroccan name for it, I just can't remember what it is.
Anyway, it was built hundreds of years ago, and now it just kind of sits
there. People live around it, at the base, though no one still seems
to live in it. Which is strange, I suppose, because even crumbling
as it is it seems better than their houses. Perhaps it's owned by
the government. In Morrocco, things like this are hard to figure
out.
We climbed on it a bit - on the other side there's a terrific
view, the picture of which eventually I'll add to the site.
Gooooood Morning Sahara! As you can tell from Terry's withered look, it's COLD out here in the morning!
