This page is dedicated to the geologic points of interest along trails and scenic routes throughout Oregon. Oregon is the most diverse state geologically in all of the United States. Among the features include volcanics, some as recent as 600 years ago, ocean floor sediments in mountains in the eastern part of the state, and numerous "debris" sediments from an ancient lake called Lake Missoula which flooded most of Washington and Oregon.
