DeWorming
DeWorming

PUPS: You may worm your puppies with a pyrantel pamoate wormer weekly starting at 2 or 3 weeks of age unitl 7-8 weeks of age. I use Nemex liquid which can be obtained without a prescription. The Dosages are on the bottle.  ADULTS: Adults are treated monthly with ivermectin which protects against heartworm, and also treats roundwormds, hookworms and whipworms. The approved dosage for this drug currently is 6 mcg per pound. At a much higher dose of two hundred (200) mcg per pound(or 1/2 cc for every 50 lb.), invermectin is also effective against a wide variety of internal and external parasites. It is extremely important not to overdose ivermectin, it can be very harmful.
