Cabin
It' been a cold winter ... We haven't had a lot of time on the farm but what time
we have we have enjoyed ..... January .... photos
as most of you know I enjoy birdwatching, so much of my fun time is spent doing just that ...
and of course our dogs are with us all the time ... they enjoy the farm as much as we do..
Steve (hubby) spends his fun time mostly with his tractors .........

January 24 ...... I've been seeing an American Kestrel ........ this is a first sighting of this bird for me .....

I have a least one pair nesting in my hanging gourds
My three squirrels ........ they have grown up in my yard .... They were born in my front yard tree ......
this is the first time I was able to get a pic of all three at once .............. (from my back window)
when I first started bird watching I always wondered why they called the Red-bellie Woodpecker red-bellie?
It is usually hard to see the actual red on it's bellie....but the pics below certainly answered my question ....

the following were shot in the fog ..... I thought they were "Artsy" ..... "Blue birds in the fog"

frozen frog .......... I think the nice weather caught this guy buy surprise when the freeze came in at night ...
March ......
this was a great day for birdwatching ........ I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this duck in our pond .... I was getting ready to take the dogs for a walk and happened to look out the cabin window and saw this beautiful sight ........ so glad I looked first as they would have flown off if the dogs got out first .......... I ran off a couple of shots and watched for awhile and then the dogs finally got there walk ......
there were four of them but one flew away before I could get the camera to the window ....... I got a couple of good pics of three ..2 males and one female .......... I couldn't ID them at first they are not listed for my area ........ I must have caught them in migration ......
