Pictures of Maui

Maui is a beautiful island off the main island of Hawaii. It is filled with beautiful ocean landscapes, two large volcanoes and dense rainforests.

Here are some photographs of the people I worked with in the past and some that I met at the conference.

Here's some photographs of the place we were staying at.

South of the resort is a place called Lahaina. This is were may of the bars/restaurants/shopping is done and were ships can be taken to go snorkeling, scuba diving, whale watching and fishing.

This are pictures of Lahaina harbour.

This is a banyan tree. It's actually just a single tree but it takes the space of the entire park. They were teaching kids how to Hula dance when I was there.

From Lahaina I took some pics of the volcano and the hills.

I also took some pictures of the island of Maui when I was whale watching.

The narrow winding road to a small town called Hana is through the rainforest. Here are some pictures of waterfalls we saw along the way

Here's some pictures of a park off the road to Hana. It has this chasm in the rock where the water blows out of when the waves hit the coast hard enough - called a blow hole.
