{Note from Revanshe: I was requested to slightly modify this message. Do to Eesite's poor editing capabilities, this was the only way to do it!!)

Mr. Martin asked us to forward this along to the message board -- he didn't want to do it
himself as he'd fear that discussions would stop. ;)

To quote (with brief editing):

Anyway, Parris (my SO) has just finished a print run of her new Seven Kingdoms t-shirts.
These are new designs, using the Moria Peters art. She's done two shirts, Stark and
Targaryen. The Stark shirts are grey, with the shield and words in white and grey. The
Targaryen shirts are black, with the dragon in red breathing yellow flames. Both shirts
have the art on the front, and a brief history of the House on the back.

They are, needless to say, fully authorized by The Author.

Anyway, if anyone wants one, the prices are:

$18 for Medium, Large, or X-Large
$22 for 2X or 3X

$3 domestic shipping
$9 overseas shipping

Orders and checks should be sent to Parris, 102 San Salvador, Santa Fe,
N.M. 87501. (Sorry, the shirts are not available in Small.)

If the sales warrant, Parris plans to follow these up with Lannister and Baratheon shirts.
Moria Peters is already working on the art. I'm trying to talk her into adding a Greyjoy,
too.

(P.S. Linda and I have seen copies of Moria Peters' Stark and Targaryen images. Both
are extremely cool, especially the Targaryen three-headed dragon.)

This letter'll be on the SoSpakeMartin collection as well, for future reference.

I'm not sure what the current status of those t-shirts are. Since Parris gives her e-mail address above that might be an avenue worth exploring. In the past there was no need for a order form and I don't think they take Visa. But I wouldn't take any of this at my word.

And welcome Clay.

folks,

I'm just catching up with orders now that the manuscript is in the mail - I'll be by here this weekend to answer questions and tease you with the knowledge that I've read the manuscript - some of it three times - in the last couple of months.

more soon,

George says I'm not allowed to torment the other fans - too much.

But I wasn't kidding back in 1975 when I said "Mr Martin, I'm you're biggest fan, and when I read 'A Song For Lya', it made me cry"

hey, it got me the First Reader job, didn't it?

What do you think of it, Parris? Generally speaking of course.

'First Reader'?

*drooling in envy*

Em, Parris...you couldn't tell me how tall you are?

You see, I am preparing this great 'Kidnapping and Replacing' plot.

And all the other things are just details...nothing that a little voice training, hormone treatment, plastic surgery, and hours and hours of tickling of your feet (I need you tell me everything about yourself to get my background right, after all) cannot accomplish.

But if you're significantly lower or higher than me, I don't know if I can pull it off.
It'd seem a bit strange if you suddenly was stooping a great deal, or never took off those elevator shoes...

Pish-posh.

What obsessed fan would blink at being put on the rack or having a few inches cut off at the shins (with suitable surgery to put feet back onto legs) to get the spot of First Reader? ;)

Well, as long as I don't have to show my legs at the beach, I can always sacrifice some inches...

What do I look like? Well, Xena's twin sister with red hair and green eyes... Oh, and if you hope to fool George, you should know I am a gourmet chef in several cusines, a skilled cabinet maker (all those books and little toy knights have to go somewhere) and the maker of the Sacred Brew of Caffeinea, Goddess of Stimulation, Focus and long long nights tossing and turning...

I've got a new contact email address for information on t-shirts and any other GRRM information folks might want from me:

'[email protected]'

The old AOL address will be closed in about a month, so please start directing mail to this new earthlink account asap.

We've finished the color/shirt selection, and I'll be printing the Lannister and Baratheon shirts in mid-July

just in time for the release of the new book in the UK...

They're here - the new t-shirt designs for Houses Lannister & Baratheon. I'm going to try to send jpegs to a couple of folks and see if we can post them somewhere, but they really are great, if I do say so myself. I'm going to try to ship out all the back orders for the shirts before I leave for Worldcon, and thanks for waiting so patiently for the work to be done.

Can you send these jpegs to me, Parris?

I've interested in purchasing one or two of these.
Do you take credit card orders?

This JUst In from GRRM:

FYI, Parris just got back from Denver, where she printed the long-awaited Baratheon and Lannister t-shirts. They look awesome, if I do say so myself.

I got the first ones hot off the silk screen, and will be wearing mine at worldcon.

Wonderful Moira Peters artwork, as with the earlier Targaryen and Stark designs: the gold Lannister lion on crimson, and the crowned stag of Baratheon black on gold.
