Are we gonna have a spoiler policy for ASOS? I for one won't be able to read it until mid/late August, so I would really be interested in one. I don't want any spoilers, but I would liek to continue and visit this web page.

Well there was one thing I never would have guessed in my wildest days. Not that i'll say any more than that. In fact you could say 2 things since I just remembered another thing that really surprised me.

I don't mean to make you salivate, but three of the four were better than GRRM's usual, which is saying a lot. I felt Prologue was not up to his usual, (but not to say bad, he doesn't do bad) Most people pounced on me for saying that, however. :-)

He introduces what has got to be, imho, the greatest character in the whole series, or at least tied for the greatest with Tyrion and Jon. You people think you are having fun now with the "favorite quotes" board, just wait.

I cannot say anything else, just what I thought, good chapters, characters, quotes, etc. I hope along about July 17 everyone is feeling happy.

He actually LET YOU CHOSE?

Wow, I can't believe it!

I probably would have joined in too, had I known... but than maybe not.

Lindaelane - I heard elsewhere that the Prologue was awesome... I guess everyone will have to make up their own minds :-)

I just cant wait to read those 4 chapters inside the deep confines of a fresh hardback copy of A Storm Of Swords. Great stuff.

And a great final word on the four-chapters-discussion. :-)

Right you are Min. Us fans who did _not_ join in the Great Auction are being slowly roasted above a medium high fire with all these hints and feints and insinuations :-) Maybe we should have a discussion about what exactly constitutes a spoiler.

A spoiler is...
...anything having to do with the new book.
...anything related to the plot of the new book.
...anything designed to torture me.

Here's why they call them spoilers -- Those people in the know of certain "spoilers" are "spoiled"!

sorry. I can wait, can't I? ;) I can. I just couldn't resist trying to be cute/clever.

Hmm.... not too envious anyway... the first chapter I want to read is a Davos chapter...
