Revanshe has handed me administration of the board, and since I've time to fiddle about, I'm curious as to what ideas folk might have about the board.

Specifically, color combinations. There are people who dislike white-on-black (here), others who dislike light-grey-on-dark-grey (dragonswon), and others still who don't much like black-on-white (here when the board gets messed up by eesite.)

Anyone with any particular problems with the current color layout have any suggestions as to improving the readability of the board?

Heh, heh.

Been terribly busy sorting out things before I take vacation. As well as KAH, I've asked Emily to help out with moderating, and she's kindly accepted. If the book should happen to come out in the July date (....) she'll be the one keeping an eye on the spoiler threads so our Norwegian friend doesn't suffer dangerous bouts of spastic activity as he tries not to absorb the deadly, beguiling spoilers. ;)

I shall be gone, if all goes well, starting tomorrow and until the first week of August. My plans may change rather suddenly, even to the point where the trip will be put off, but for now they're steady. :)

I'm going to try and go through the various board topics and do some cleaning up before I go, to make sure things are as they should be.

Ok, just in case its still clear as mud, here is the deal. Ran is in charge of Westeros.org and has always been. He is now in charge of this board, which was started by Revanshe. The Triumvirate are doing the A Song of Ice and Fire website, which was also started by Revanshe.

Well, we are doing it...slowly. We need to all be in town and off vacation at the same time before much is going to happen, I fear.

Heh, while I was making the two posts above, Ran was filling you in with details about vacation. Don't worry, we aren't really competing :-). I will also be out of town from next Wednesday until August 8.

One last comment before you go, Ran. I really, really like the new banner. And I am so glad that Eschelon thing is gone. Oh, and my preference is for white on black.

I was looking at triumvirate as being three people who ran something, such as a website, together. If its offensive though, I am sure the word need not be used again. We weren't going to name the site after it or anything. We honestly have not discussed ideas dealing with three headed dragons. I have personal preferences about not using the word "head" however. :-)

Putting a norwegian in charge of something....it'll never work- we can't even run our own country, and now we're going "international"?

By the way, us norwegians are probably getting the book as fast as anyone else, either through amazon.co.uk or through (in my case) one of the countries few pushers of sci-fi/fantasybooks..

When I gave the site to three people, I never thought of the three headed dragon :D Or Dany's three dragons or anything of that sort...Interesting possibilities, though...LOL!!

I like the white lettering on the black background. It is comfortable to read. I've become used the color scheme and don't see any need to change. IMHO.
