Hey, when I originally made the purchase, the paperback was much cheaper . . . now there's a different of 1/2 a pound between the two. What gives with that?

Anyway, I'm trading up to a HC, Arend. Sorry . . . it's no longer logical to get a paperback since the difference is what, one dollar?

It's not that the tpb got more expensive, they reduced the price of the hc. Usedto be a 20% savings, now it's a 40% savings. Now the price difference is about $2. I wonder if the people who ordered early got this break, since by the look of things ScotchOnDaRocks is paying GBP 14.39!

The thing is, I want to take it on my trip to Europe (talk about a well traveled book), so I'd rather have the tpb than the hc. My strategy for now is that I will wait till Friday night, if nothing has changed by then, I will upgrade to the hc. That way I will have something good to read on my voyage across the Atlantic.

Sounds good, Arend. I just switched to the HC since the price difference is practically nothing.

i purchased it at the 14.39 price, now its at 10.79. i'm going to email amazon.co.uk to see if they'll refund me the difference since it lowered one day after i ordered it. everyone who purchased at 14.39 should try it, more likely they'll give it to us ;)

I'm with you, xaosx. I think it would be expected that they price protect for at least a few hours. Geez... imagine if you were buying at a bookstore and as you were walking out they were changing all the tags?? I sent an e-mail.

can anyone tell me what the price would be for a canadian?
I'm afraid it will be quite high.
Any other canadians here who have ordered the book?

Hey Greyjoy ... I think it really depends on how you want it shipped to you .... I think it works out to about $35.00 (regular Air Mail) ... Alex P. said it would cost him $45.00 and he went the Royal Air route, although I'm not sure what the difference is.
At any rate, apparently as our friendly American cbudoris pointed out, our money doesn't even matter so what are we worried about!!! :)
As an aside cbudoris you'll be happy to know that they are expanding the art work on our loonies, twonies and quarters every month a different design ... everything from Inuits to maple leaves, and a whole host of animals! You better start collecting!!
