GOLDSTEIN AND SON

I missed the first bit but I can just remember what happens. Rachel feels that someone is watching her and her house and when she finally says something to Clarke (Yes remember him) this happens.
Clarke treats it as an investigation he asks Helen to look at the crime data center. He wants a report on the intimidation and he tells frank to go by the book, he doesn't want to be harbouring complaints about police harassment. Frank asks should he get her in for a chat, Clarke gives him the thumbs down. There is not enought threat to get witness security involved and Goldie scoffs at the idea. But he asks to inform them incase they are needed down the track, Clarke contacts Kings Cross station so they can do regular patrols of Goldies house.
Dave, Terry and Tommy are a the sight of a boat crash that had been cleaned up by another boat which never stopped. Dave goes down to inestigate. You hear him so oh no.
Helen is on the phone. Fran marsden was released a year ago and Rachel guesses Frans parole was up before she started making the phone calls to Rachel...correct replies Helen. Rachel says Fran hasn't threatened her, she just hangs up, but Rachel knows it's Fran. She doesn't say anything or threatens Rachel, she just stands there outside her house and then disappears, maybe its a co incidence Rachel says.....no replies Helen forcefully. Helen has done some checking, Fran Marsden has moved into a house around the corner from Rachel, and before the supermarket hold up she was in and out of detention centers and suspected of being involved in other armed hold ups.
Frank and Rachel walk along the corrdior to their office, Frank tells her Frans parole officer told them she has a job as a kings cross taxi driver and the psychologist said she was showing remorse but other wise well adjusted. Considering I killed her boyfriend Rachel replies. no considering she misscarried his baby in prison Frank informs her. She was pregnant Rachel says, less than 6 months, as Knocker comes to the door, got a minute he asks Frank, yeh go says Rachel.
Rachel goes to Clarkes office and asks permission to carry her gun off duty. No need to be so formal he says, permission granted, and she declines his offer of time off. The gun is just a security thing she tells him.
On the Nemesis, 2 bodies are zipped up into blue bags, a man and a child. Both bodies were in the cabin, they must have seen the rocks says Fiona, poor little boy Gavin says visibly upset. Fiona and Gavin go to tell Mrs Grantham the bad news about her husband and grandson, she is in denial that they are not coming back, she tells stories about what they were doing today. She starts getting upset and then it hits her they're not coming back. She agrees to identify the bodies.
Frank hops into Fran Marsdens cab and asks if it is her. He says he wants a chat down at the station and she dries there.
On front counter Jeff watches Frank bring in Fran and so do the other staff members.
In the office Frank informs her of the amendments to the stalking act. She tells Frank she wouldn't want to see Rachel ever again.Never given her another thought Fran says, and she's delt with her loosing her boyfriend and baby. She knows they have no proof and is very confident.Helen watches her the whole time.
At the boat site they are lifting up the sunken boat with lift bags.
In the meal room Rachel spins her apple and Fiona tells them Mrs Grantham identified the bodies and Terry tells her sometimes it is harder bringing up the bodies. Frank tells Rachel that Telstra have put a trace on her phone. You say the word and we can have someone at your house 24 hours a day says Frank, yeh for how long a couple of years Rachel replies, she might get sick of it Frank offers. You spoke to her what do you reckon Rachel asks. Frank doesn't say no, but thats the impression Rachel gets.
Night time at Rachel's house she rings David, don't be too long Jonathon tells him, dinner is on the table. She asks about school as she sips a beer, gun placed next to her. Next morning Rachel comes outside looks up and down the street and finds her tyres have been slashed. A red taxi pulls away down the street and she unsuccessfully runs after it.
Crime scene are checking out the boat, Gavin and Fiona come over where Terry is annoying them to hurry up. She tells them the little boy died of carbon monoxide poisioning while the man drowned but had the chemical in his lungs.
Rachel is ordering new tires and she tells Frank about the taxi. Jeff tells them about the man and the boy.
Down on the boat again, crime scene have found a leaking pipe that would have killed them in 20 minutes, and it's not an old leak either.
In the interview room Mrs Grantham doesn't understand, the boat was bought last week and it was the first time it was taken out, he husband Nevelle didn't tinker with it because he didn't know anything about boats. She has the paper work for the boat and Sykse takes her home.
Rachel and Frank get the man who sold the boat into be intervewed. He says he tried to sell Mr Grantham a littler boat, he says there was nothing wrong with it. He said Nevelle must have tinkered with the engine. He says there was nothing wrong with the boat. He has no record of who sold him the boat.
Night Rachel arrives home in her car with new tires. Frank waves to the patrol as they go past. Very nice he comments about her house. He checks the back door, and gets out his gun, someone has broken in. Upstairs in her bedroom there is a big cross thru a photo of David, Fran Marsden had been there. Clarke arrives, Frank tells him she slipped in before Surveillance arrived and the Kings Cross patrol goes past the front every half hour and she came in the back. Crime scene tells them the photo frame is clean of any prints. Clarke tells Rachel to take out and Aprehended Violence Order, get the wind up Fran, she's now under 24 hour protection, and Rachel wants protection for David. She rejects Franks offer to tell Jonathon about the protection.
Later that night Rachel hears movement downstairs, she grabs her gun and goes downstairs.It is Frank in the fridge looking for a beer, just use the light she tells him.
Next morning Rachel has a go at Frank for not putting her CD's back in their case, and he tells her he would have cleaned up had she just left it. Jeff calls to Frank and says he heard Fran made her presence felt last night. It's a pity we just can't nab her Frank says. Fiona Cassidy comes down the stairs as Jonathon comes onto front counter.
In the office Jonathon starts talking Rachel doesn't look up, he wants an end to the protection a friend of his new wife Debbie was stopped outside his house. Rachel refuses and Jonathon blames Rachel and her job. Rachel tells him she only cares about David. Jonathon storms out and Rachel goes after him yelling at him to not play mind games with David turn him against her. She regains her composure as she attracts attention from her colleugues with the unusual outburst.
Frank is interviewing the boat salesman, he remembers the man who sold him the boat, but couldn't swear to it having carbon monoxide problems. He claims he was going to do work on the boat, but parts were going to take too long for Mr Grantham, and Mr Grantham said he would fix it himself. Frank tells him he made $3000 on a boat that needed fixing, but he claims he told Mr Grantham it needed work.
We're not going to get him Frank and Goldie confirm outside the office. Gavin is upset that there was not enough to get them to court. The salesman comes out and asks them where he can go to the toilet. Gavin pushes him up against the wall in the toliets and tells him how what he did will think about it for the rest of his life. Tommy comes in and raises his voice to Gavin saying if any flak is taken from what just happened Gavin is on his own.
At Rachel's house Frank is taking a shower Rachel is lying on her back on her bed, the phone rings. She answers it's Kevin. She perks up about something, it's an invitation out, she yells at Frank she is going out for a drink with Kevin and he says he'll be out in a sec, she yells back, your not invitied. Frank runs out of her house clad only in a bath towel, Rachel is gone and gets a whistle from a neighbour, you should be so lucky he says back.
At a park Rachel talks about becoming a cop and the shooting that took place with Fran Marsden and her boyfriend. Rachel watches a family across the park. Kevin sits down and asks her if she ever thought of leaving the force. She replies yes because of Fran and loosing David. Kevin says he used to think the good guys were winning, he talks about loosing faith, Rachel asks if he is o.k. he says he's fine, just not as tough as he thought he was.
At Rachels house Frank is in a overgown and reading. Where were you he asks, he yells at her for going, he says if she doesn't like having a shadow to join witness security, the phone rings. He says he's not having fun either. Frank answers and it is apparent that the dogs have lost Fran, he tells them the best thing they can do is watch the cab, she has to come back to it sometime. Rachel is worried, she's up to something if she wants to disappear, Rachel rings David. Jonathon answers and lies saying David is in bed. She tells Frank she's going over, Frank says he will go. Bluey Patterson is taking over Frank says, Rachel says oh no. Might make you appreciate my company a bit more Frank says I doubt it she replies. She gives him her mobile and says to ring her when he gets there.
Outside Jonathon's house Frank leaves the phone in the car, surveillance has nothing to report. He knocks on the door no answer, then Mrs Goldistein answers. Frank searches around and they can't find Jonathon, the back door has been broken into. Frank directs Debbie Goldistein to the surveillance car.
Rachel is shuffling cards on her lounge.
Frank is still searching.
Bluey gets coffee and Rachel calls her mobile, it rings in the car.
Frank heads upstairs. Jonathon is on the floor with a wound in his shoulder. Fran is on the bed, knife to Davids neck. She asks for Rachel, and tells Frank to put down the gun he does.
Rachel tells Bluey she's going over there. Bluey protests, and Rachel pulls rank, you can drive me or stay and watch the cricket she says.
Frank tries to calm David and Fran demands Rachel. Jonathon stirrs and David cries for him. Frank keeps telling Fran he doesn't know where she is, He tries to curb Fran by telling her Rachel has cracked, been to the psychologist and can't handle the pressure. Fran demands for the to go downstairs. Fran tells Frank she wants Rachel to know what it is like to loose a kid and she wants Rachel to watch. Fran moves them downstairs. Outside Rachel has arrived. Rachel enters as Fran says watch this Goldstein and brings the knife closer, then Debbie Goldistein smashes a bottle over Fran's head. Rachel grabs David and hugs him hard.
Outside Jonathon is put in an ambulance as Rachel hugs and kisses David. Jonathon calls to Rachel, and he tells her she will never ever see David again. David tells her it wasn't her fault. Rachel asks David if he wants to go with Jonathon and he says yes, Rachel passes David to Debbie and sits on the fence and watches them take Fran away , Frank comes over and half smiles at her. She sits and watches them all drive down the road.
