PAY THE PIPER:

Pay the Piper opens with Jack sitting on the edge of what looks like Walshbay wharf, it's dark, he has his personal car with him, he looks as though he is waiting for someone, he looks at his watch it has just clicked past 4 am, he hears movement and calls out Digger you there, then he gets in his car and goes home. At home he walks into his kitchen put the gun on his table and pours himself a drink, he stares at the gun and then pulls out the bullets and puts it in his safe then collapses onto his lounge. In the morning he's in the same position. He's awoken by the sounds of the garbage truck, and stirs, the cup in his hand drops onto his pants and he jumps up brushing at his now wet pants with tissues and turns the kettle on, he opens his jar of coffee and it's empty. Next thing we know he's returning having probably been to the shops with milk and coffee, he looks a mess. His front door is wide open, strange, he looks around and then goes inside. His place has been rifled through though not turned upside down inside out. Put it this way, it could be any males house (no offense to any fellas) he drops the milk and it spills everywhere on the floor, he goes to the safe in his bedroom, it's wide open, his gun gone.
Jeff arrives at Jack's house and inspects the safe asking what else did they take. Just the gun says Jack looking sorry for himself. Jeff has a go at him for where he kept the gun, the safe isn't regulation, it is a box bolted to the back wall, not regulation, it's not being careless Jack claims. It's failure to keep a weapon safe Jeff says. So charge me replies Jack, I just might replies Jeff. In the living area crime scene are looking down the back of the lounge, they pull out a porno magazine and have a laugh, that's right have a good sticky says Jack coming into the room. Jeff comes in and inspects the open bottle of alcohol, WHAT yells Jack, he stomps out saying he's going to HQ to take a shower there.I want you to wait there for me Jeff yells after him.
Outside Jack approaches another new car (Geez can they supply me with one too!) a blue magna, before he gets in he sees a black Explorer on the other side of the road, in the back is Charlie Driscoll, in the front her goons, they stare at each other and then Charlie's window goes up and they drive off. Jack watches her go down the street.
After his shower at HQ, Alex gives a little wolf whistle to Jack who doesn't even flinch at it, what's up his nose Alex asks Mick. Lost his gun he replies. Oh come one no one looses their gun she replies. Mick hands her a stack of paper, Jack is gone, hang on mate, Helen gave you these 3 weeks ago there's no way, I'll tell you where Jack hides his choccie biccies Mick says. So how did he loose his gun asks Alex, someone broke in and stole it Mick tells her. Donna comes in and tells them there's a floater at Walsh Bay pier the Nemesis is waiting for them, Alex looks at Mick with the stack of paper work, goes to put them on her desk, Mick takes them and says he'll put them on her desk. (Currently apartments are being sold @ Walsh Bay pier for some ridiculous amount of money, funny if bodies were actually turning up around the area, bring the price down a bit)
In the interview room Jack is admitting to nothing he tells Jeff 18 months ago the steel unit in his house was regulation. Helen goes to get coffee (Is that all they ever do? LOL) Jeff stops the tape and asks Jack if he has problems at home, he saw the whisky and tells Jack he smelt like a distillery, oh give me a break Jack replies. Jeff tells Jack if he made him take a breath test right now he didn't think he would pass it.He tells Jeff he didn't get home till after 4am, he was stuff and he had one drink. He was meeting and informant that didn't show up. Digger Davis was who Jack was meeting, he rang to say he had some information, but didn't want to give it out over the phone, he doesn't know why he didn't show up, Jack has been ringing him and he hasn't answered his phone. So am I going to get a new gun or do I walk around like this? He makes a gun with his thumb and two fingers, his request is denied by Jeff who tells him his old one has to be found first. Jack just rolls his eyes. Over at Walsh Bay the Nemesis is in attendance with Mick and Alex, there's a body floating near a pylon. It's a close range bullet shot to the head more likely than not he didn't shoot himself, he could have been shot somewhere else and dumped there, his watch stopped at 4:10am. Gavin looks for I.D and Mick and Alex have a sticky around.
Jack hops out of the car on a busy street, he's at an inner city gym. He is met by a guy in a dark suit at the front door. He jokes to the guy I heard Charlie set up shop here after the club burnt down, I would have thought it would be too much like clean living for her. The door guy tells Jack Charlie isn't in, Jack doesn't believe him Another guy comes to the door and Jack recounts the events of the past day, the new guy tells Jack Ms Driscoll isn't available, and you'd be Jack asks. It's a George Baracas, Charlie is with her legal counsel, he'll let her know Jack dropped by, tell her I want my gun back Jack ends. Thanks for all your help he says to the first guy, who rolls his eyes while chewing gun. Jack calls Helen and asks about Digger Davis, no luck replies Helen and no Mick isn't it, he's called to a floater at....she searches for the piece of paper which is handed to her by Donna. Walsh Bay pier, Walsh Bay pier Jack repeats, ching chin he was there all last night, no I.D and haven't heard anything Helen tells him.
On Walsh Bay pier Jack arrives, and Mick tells them he has nothing yet, Alex tells him the divers are on the way and the watch stopped at 4:10am. Gavin opens the body bag and Jack I.D's him as Serge Malacroft, an ex-con who laid a complaint against Jack, saying Jack roughed him up a bit. Alex doesn't look too impressed.
Jack is in Helen's office she tells him that Serge had a wife who died but he had a daughter. She could do the I.D. She'd be just a kid wouldn't she Jack asked her, she's 21, has it been that long since I locked up Serge Jack questioned. Helen gives him the address of a charter boat company where Catherine Malacroft is a deckhand after being in and out of foster homes.
On a Sydney street somewhere Alex and Mick are talking about Serge, he was an accountant and did 10 years for fraud, got out 3 weeks ago. Alex tells Mick she looked up the case when he asks how come she knows so much. Because of Jack and the complaint made against him she tells Mick. 10 years on doesn't that make you a little curious she says, it did me. So your checking on Jack are you Mick asks her. She knocks on a door and a man opens it before she can do anything more, she shoves her badge under his nose stating she's from the Sydney Water Police.
On a quite little wharf a young woman tells her boss she's taking 5. She goes back only the wharf and is met by a Water Police Detective, you Catherine Malacroft he asks, yeh who are you, Detective Sergent Christey, you put my father away. Yeh, she tells Jack how her mother killed herself because of Jack and then tells him she wouldn't even spit on him let alone spend a few moments with him. Jack goes after her, telling her he is dead, shot, probably murdered. He wants a formal I.D from her, she tells him no way, get someone who knew him better, someone from Long Bay.
Alex is outside talking to a guy who's having a cigarette, we find out that he lived next door to Serge. Mick comes over and the guy says he heard a bit of a 'barney' (Not the purple dinosaur) last night. Argument, people shouting at around 4 or 5, when Alex asks about familiar voices, the guy says he heard someone say, screw you Christey. Mick and Alex look at each other. What exactly did you see when you looked out your window Alex asks. He saw a man, standing about where Jack was and then an bang and the man took off, he knew it was a man cause he was wearing a suit, and gives a fair description of Jack.
Back at the office Mick comes up the stairs and along the corridor, Alex follows calling his name with no answer. You've been here 5 minutes Alex you don't know him I told you Jack Christey's a good cop, and your his bloody cheer squad she replies, all I said was it doesn't look good for him and that?s just stating the bleeding obvious. They walk around each other like circling sharks, Mick continues to pace while Alex is seated, she sighs and looks like she wants to believe Jack is innocent. Maybe this Max Presto, (the guy they just spoke to) got it wrong. What Alex asks, witness I spoke to says they saw a blue falcon, it left about 4 am, Christey Alex rolls her eyes, it might not be Mick says. We've got to talk to Hawker about this, I want to talk to Jack first Mick says, we'll both talk to Jack and then we'll both write the report, Alex replies, I'll write the report Mick raises his voice. That?s right you know him better than I do, are you sure you can write it Alex raises her voice. Jack Christey's not a killer Alex all right Mick raises his voice. Right I'm going to check out our weedy little mate at the wharf see if there is any reason he would lie to use, Mick nods his head, he has won so far.
Jack is on the phone to someone he tells them that if they see Digger to tell him that Jack is looking for him and to get him to give Jack a call. He's in Jeff's office who comes in with a ballistics report, Malcroft was shot with a Glock nine millimeter, the same gun as Jack has. Downward inflicted, left to right, not self inflicted. Jack tells Jeff, Diggers number was up anyway he was riddled with cancer and the parole officer who did they I.D. said he wouldn't have lasted another couple of months so he got early release. about my gun, what's going to happen now Jack asks, Jeff replies with you'd better write to the commissioner and hope that he accepts it, listen Jack about Malacroft, you don't think it would be better if Reilly and St Clair handled this one do you, probably says Jack and turns and leaves.
Jack enters the office, Mick and Alex are at their desks, you see the ballistics report Alex asks, yeh Glock 9 mill, same as police issue Alex states. So you reckon a cop killed him then. There were witnesses Jack, Mick turns his head. A guy called Max Prescott says around 4 he heard an argument and someone say screw you Christey, Alex comes over to Jack's desk. That's bullshit says Jack, last time I saw Serge Malacroft in this decade was in a body bag this morning. Alex goes back to her desk, there is another guy who says he saw a blue falcon drive off, Mick looks on and doesn't comment. Wha?ts this guys name, Jack turns in his chair, this Max Prescott, he's lyin, Mick continues to watch. Why would he he's a clean skin, classic impartial witness, what about the guy who said he saw the blue falcon, is he lying Jack, Mick finds his voice. No he's not lyin, I was at the wharf I was there to see Digger Davis, your informer Alex adds, he didn't show and I went home Jack explains. Well this Digger has conveniently gone missing Mick adds, what like my gun went missing Jack comes back, at a time when I?m on a wild goose chase while Serge got shot, it's a set up come on. Who's doin it Alex asks, she doesn't look totally convinced. Jack points his pen at her and says I got my ideas o.k. Lets just leave it at that.
Gavin, Tommy and Emma are walking down the plontoon, so what?s with this long service leave Gavin asks, going to take it Tommy says, you don't have to you'll be bored, Gavin adds, yeh but Hawker says if I don't take it I'll loose it Tommy adds Emma come down to the Harpy, morning there she says to a young boy who is sleeping in the boat, right you off now she yells, give us your arm, she goes to help him off, he gives her the slip running up the plontoon her other arm full with a cup of coffee in it. Hey come back here she yells. Cool calm and collected Lance stops him, hey go easy what are you doing here he asks, no answer.
In the next scene the boy is eating breakfast cereal in the meal room, Helen's voice in the background says o.k false address, false name. Lance is standing in the doorway next to Helen, I'll have to ring community services, see what I can get out of him, Lance moves into the room. So what's the story Lance says sitting next to him. No initial answer and Lance removes the breakfast cereal, you lied mate, wanted to learn about boats he says, what about your parents do they know where you are asks Lance? The boy sighs and the cereal is returned to him, yeh go on eat Lance says. Those sailing clothes there, you nicked them didn't you Lance adds, so what's going on. He tells Lance how much he loves boats, how he wants to go to Darwin and get onto one of the big pearling boats up there, islands and palm tree's. I don't have time to listen to your day dreams Lance interrupts, I can't help you unless your straight with me and tell me what's going on. The kid keeps eating.
Jack is back at Charlie's HQ, he's not met by anyone at the front door, but once inside a secretary tries to stop him going in, if he's not a member, she calls for a Lewis, it's the unhelpful guy from the last visit. See you've taken advantage of the introductory offer Jack's voice echoes in the large somewhat empty room. Charlie is working out surrounded by her goons, it's all right Lewis leave it she tells him. What is he staying Jack asks. Baracas is my right hand man I tell him everything Charlie adds. How do you know I'm not wired adds Jack, I saw you this morning, your scared Jack, you won't want anyone finding out about this Charlie replies, see I understand people I understand their weaknesses, like Serge Malacroft. Jack paces back and forward in front of her. All Serge wanted was a chance to make things up to his kid and I offered him that.So you told Serge to make a complaint about me to the ombudsman Jack guesses, the fact that it was you, now that was the cleancher. Charlie gets up. Malacoft hated you and it seems you've got habit of rubbing people up the wrong way Jack. Poor stupid bastard he sacrificed his life, and I bet his daughter doesn't see a cent. Hey I honoured the deal, I've got principals Charlie goes a table, she opens a broach, swap this one with the one in the evidence room at the police center, she shows it to Jack, the other one as got my prints all over it, What you killed Fredrickson with a brooch Jack asks. I didn't kill anyone with this and by the time they realise it'll be too late. You can stick it Jack says, your times run out replies Charlie, at 4:10 this morning, did you like the watch stopping? That was my idea, Jack nods in acknowledgment. You keep your job and I walk or we both do time Charlie concludes, just swap the evidence, it's not too much to ask is it? She walks back around the back of him, oh and don't worry about your gun, I haven't got anyone else?s prints on it, just yours, of course it is missing one bullet. Jack leaves and Charlie goes back to her work out, I'll be in touch she yells.
Helen is on the phone when Lance walks in, still trying she tells him, I've been on hold for 15 minutes and pulls a mad face mirrored by Lance. How did you go she asks, nope replies Lance. What do you think runaway Helen suggests, bet on it Lance walks away, poor kid says Donna from behind Helen. The welfare officer please Helen says into the phone, NO DON'T....she's on hold again. Makes you wonder why, he must have had reason, and awful home life, makes you think about the parents Donna is talking to no one really, then she stops, she's looking at a lost persons poster, with the kid on it. Sergent Blakemore she says and points, Peter James Leahey is the kids name. Helen laughs, going up the stairs with Lance she tells him who he is, been gone 2 years. Jack is in the meal room playing pool, and Peter is gone. There was a boy here Lance says, Jack shrugs, I just got here. He shoots and puts down the cue, what am I doing he asks. Peter gets on a jet ski, Tommy and Gavin are yelling for him, everyone is looking for him, any luck Lance asks Gavin, can't find him anywhere Helen says. They hear the jet ski motor, bloody hell he's going to kill himself Lance says, o.k ok. I got it Emma replies. Peter is away and being chased by the water police boats and Emma on a jet ski. He drives close to pylons and wharves. Bloody kids been missing 2 years Lance tells Tommy, confirming the run away status. The chase continues. " Look at him he's got about as much boat going sense as an emu" Lance tells Tommy (LOL, you need to hear Joss' Aussie male laid back accent, it's soooooo funny.)Don't worry our Woodsie I'll get him, Tommy tells Lance. The jet ski goes very close to a boat and then weaves in and out of them. He eventually turns sharply to avoid a small dinghy and comes off. Woodsie picks him up as Harpy pulls up, Tommy calls for an ambualnce, while Lance does CPR. Nothing and then he splutters out a lot of water. You want to work on boats Peter, you'd better learn to swim Lance tells him.
Jack is leaning against his hall wal next to the door when there is a coppers knock on his door, I know your there, it's Mick. You don't want to tell Alex anything thats fine but how bout tellin me what the hells going on Mick says to him. Yup says Jack, he closes the door and Mick goes into the house. In the kitchen Mick leans on the bench and Jack paces the floor. Charlie Driscoll was feeling the geat from the competition so she took out the boss, she shoved the sharp end of a brooch into the guys jugular, her prints are all over the weapon, so you loose the brooch you loose the prints, she walks free.So she wants you to lose it for her Mic adds. There's a body lying on a slab with a bullet from my gun in it and a witness who says I did it.She's got my gun Mick I'm rooted. You know you've gotta tell Jeff Hawker Jack, there's somethings you just don't know Mick. Like what happened at the power station that night Mick guesses.I was just so sure that Driscoll killed Rachel I just wanted to know why Jack explains, so I took her back to where Rachel had dies, stuck a gun to her head and tried to get her to confess and then you turned up, and what if I hadn't Mick asks.I don't know what I would have done the state I was in. Look Jack you know I've got to hand in a report about the witness statements Mick tells Jack. Yeh , yeh I know you do, but just don't rush it, give it to him in the morning, Jack tells him. What are you going to do Mick asks. I'm going to try and get myself out of this mess I'm in Jack tells him.Mick thinks for a minute.
On front counter Lance tells Gavin there were money troubles at home, mother complained there was never enough, Peter thought it was his fault and pissed off, first time he'd left Junee, never even seen the sea before, mad about boats.I can understand that perfectly Gavin tells him.Gavin tells Lance about the young endevour a boat in Sydney that takes on young kids and teaches them some discipline, while they spend 10 days at sea with other strangers. Lance nods and Gavin goes to grab a brochure. Helen walks in, you rung the hospital Lance asks her, no problems he's fine, she tells him, comes round puts her paper work down, he's done a runner she tells Lance as he's about to walk away, probably half way up the coast by now. Did you speak to the mother Lance asks, yeh she wants to come down and speak to you, Lance nods. You can tell her that he's well and he's healthy, he wants to go Pearl fishing Lance says he's visibly disappointed. Guess you won't be needing this panphlet then Gavin says.Guess not and Lance walks away.
Jack is back to see Catherine Malacroft, she spies him and walks on, I just want to ask you a few questions Jack says, leave me alone she replies. 5 minutes, you don't want to know who killed your father. She turns around, look I sw my father once in prison, told me to never come back, last time I saw him was 3 weeks ago when he got out, asked if I was happy, extatic thrilled, 11 years old and I go into the garage and find my mum dead in the car, I wanted to know why and he wouldn't tell me. She turns and walks on. The mess he was in wasn't his fault it was the people he worked fore their the wrong ones, once you get in it's hard to get out. She throws down the rope.Mum says you lied about all the stuff he'd done, made it up. Listen she just didn't want to believe it Jack replies. Who killed him she goes for another rope. Charlie Driscoll Jack tells her, who's he Catherine asks, it's a she Jack replies, you never heard of her, you never heard your father mention her. He mentioned you Catherine comes back, you didn't see him talk to anyone Jack asks. I saw him for 5 minutes what did he care, Catherine answered.Jack tells her her father did a deal,he was dying of cancer that's why he got an early release, his death was a set up. He wasn't crazy this is bullshit Catherine replies. He got the money for you, they paid him, yeh right, Catherine walks away. Jack follws her, you might get a call out of the blue from a solicitor saying there's a bank account in your name, or a lump sum of money, it'll happen Catherine, he must have loved you very much to do this Jack tells her. Catherine pauses and tells Jakc she saw her father the day he dies, he just turned up and said he was sorry, that was it, she ran after him wanting to talk to him, but he got into a dark blue 4WD with someone (ching ching Charlie Driscoll) she never saw him again.
The dark blue 4WD is coming up the road, Lewis parks it out the front of the gym and checks his hair in the side mirror, Jack watches on from his car on the other side of the road. Lewis goes inside, Mick is with Jack.
Back at HQ Alex is at her desk, Jeff is putting on his Jacket to leave, Helen is in her office. Alex gets up from her desk and goes to Helen office she asks her if she knew if Mick gave Jeff that report. No idea Alex ask him Helen is busy packing up. Jeff comes to the door, Alex steps out of the way, you should get yourself a social life Jeff says to Helen, night Jeff she replies, night chief Alex says, night Alex replies Jeff. You wanted to ask him something Helen says to Alex, Oh nah he probably wants to get home Alex concludes.
In a car somewhere a mobile phone rings, Mick answers it. Yeh Mic where's that report you were supposed to give it to Hawker, Alex comes down the stairs. Yeh I'm still working on it Mick tells her, Listen mate I just want to know are we playing this straight or what ? Alex asks. Go home Alex Mick says and hangs up on her. She pulls the phone from here ear and stares at it.
Outside on the road, the navy blue 4WD has at least 2 very flat tyres, Lewis comes out of the building to go to the car, and spies the flat tyres and bends down to look at them, he is grabbed from behind by Jack and slammed up against a tree. Serge Malacroft was seen getting into your car the daty he dies you killed him didn't you Jack says. Lewis elbows him and runs down the street Jack close behind him. He tips over a bin that Jack manages to avoid. Jack grabs him and pushes him up against a sign. I want my gun back he says, you'll have to ask Charlie about that Lewis says. Jack pulls a wallet from Lewis, Lewis West hey he says looking at the drivers license, well things are going to get very difficult for you Lewis. I know you killed Serge Malacroft, so prove it says Lewis (Can Jack?...NO !) He takes a step back and lets Lewis go. Your not the one running this show Lewis says. Jack spies Mick what are you doing here, what he yells as Mick walks across the street.I'm here to cover your ass Jack, I don't need a cover, what did you think I was going to flip out and kill someone? Well it's happened before, Christey goes crazy, well I'm not going to be here forever to take care of you Jack, Mick replies, so don't piss me off while I am. This has got to stop alright, we'll fix this thing together Mick tells him. Were not fixing anything together, I don't care what Charlie Driscoll does, Jack is really making a scene by now, I'm sick of it, so put in your report right, I just want it to be over.
Alex enters the office next day, I thought we were supposed to be partners she asks someone, we are replies Mick.Yeh so whats this, she points to a manila folder, you were supposed to being doing that in yesterday, you were doing it last night, your doing it now. Where I come from partners tell each other what's going on. You want to read it, Mick pushes back in his chair from the desk. No I don't want to read it, I know what's in it, I just want to know why I'm being left out of the loop, is it a boy things, is it because i'm new? Alex asks and Jack enters the room. Whats going on? Jack say hey to Alex and thows her a biscuit, last one, oh thanks that makes me feel so much better, says Alex going to her desk. Mick has the report in his hand, looking in at Jeff's office I'll take this to Hawker Mick asks, yeh Jack replies. Any luck with Digger Alex asks, won't be he's been paid to disappear, Mick looks back from the door of Jeff's office who's on the phone.Jack watches Mick, the forensice report on Serge Malacroft came in Jack takes it over to Alex, time of death between 2 and 6, that doesn't help you does it Alex replies, sorry mate I didn't you know. Yeh I know. You haven't touched the biccie Jack notices, they're both occupied with Jeff who is on his way out. Hey Chief Mick says, whatever it is it'll have to wait Reilly Jeff is on his way out. Alex and Jack watch on, leave it on his desk Helen says taking it from Mick's hand, everyone looks disappointed and says nothing, Alex takes a bite of her chocolate biscuit.
Reilly is going through some files, Alex sitting at her desk, Jack is paceing, Hawker's going to be hours I'm not sitting here, where are you going Mick asks, Presotts lying, he's been paid to dob me in, it shouldn't be too hard to get him to confess. Alex is out of the chair. You are not going anywhere,I've heard all about your stand over tatics, if anyone's going to stand over him I am, comon Mick, Alex tells Jack. Stay here Jack, play game of pool Mick tells him, don't go away. Just chill Alex adds. Down the corridor, Mick asks Alex, are you betting for Jack now, Batting for truth Mick or is that a dirty word around here? Jack watches from behind the glass of the office.
Max Prescott is in a park, can't talk now gotta go to the doctor he say, yes they told us that at the boarding house, we just want a minute of your time, Mick says running with Alex to catch up to him. I'm going to be late, I told you everything I know, yeh we just want to check on what you know Mick says stopping in front of him. Like this guy you said you saw he was in jeans right, Alex asks no he was in a suit, I really gotta get to the doctors Max whines. Mick and I aren't booked we can take you talk on the way, Alex moves back in the direction of the car, I have to walk I need the air he tells them, having a bad day, yeh so is Serge Malacroft see he's dead and we're investigating a murder Mr Prescott Alex says to him.You said there were 2 shots, Max mumbles yeh ahh I don't know, there was all the noise from the trucks, trucks what trucks, you never mentioned anything about trucks when we last spoke Alex comes back, didn't I, no, well I hear them all the time forget that they're there.Anything else you forgot to tells us Mick asks, no, did Serge Malacroft say anything else but screw you chrisw, no Christey, Max corrects her.You are so sure with the noise of the trucks Alex adds.Yeh well Max mumbles again, I just heard it right.
Jeff is back and reading Mick's report, yeh o.k comes a voice, it is Mick he is watching Jeff read the report, he's on the phone, thank you very much he ends the conversation not hanging up the phone, watching Jeff read, he has a small look of success on his face. He tells Alex who is sitting behind him that Digger Davis paid for a ticket in cash to Bangkok the other day. So if we don't crack Prescott Alex is still watching Jeff. Jack enters the room, Jeff wants to see you Mick tells him and Jack exits through the other door. Mick tosses a screwed up piece of paper over hisshoulder and gets it into the bin, Mick you throw like a girl Alex says, sorry, thats a bit sexist he returns, they're all eyes on Jack. Jack sits opposite Jeff who looks like he could have another heart attack, it's not looking good Jeff tells him. Depends how much weight you put on the stopwatch Jack tells him.Not just the watch, Jack hey you see it, it's all of it, Jeff gets out of his chair, the witness statements, the breakin, only the gun taken, I mean it's reading like a set-up. That's cause it is Jack tells him. So enlighten me Jack, here I am, who is it, who is it that's setting you up? oh come on Jeff all cops are targets, you know that Jack says. Oh Jack, see this, see this bit of paper, people are going to read this and think that you murdered Malacroft, Jeff holds the report up. And of course I knew that the bullet was a police issue one, and knew what to do with the gun, come on, it's all so packed. It's a fair interpretation of the evidence, Jeff points out, Max Prescott is the only on to link me to Serge Malacroft Jack comes back O.k sp what if I agree to a line up and we get Malacroft in Jack suggest, Jeff looks up. Jack according to you he's a paid witness, he's going to I.D you for sure Jefftells him. Jack gets up and comes over to the desk. Come on Jeff lets call theirbluf
