Beacon of Light

The darkness surrounds me,
wanting to consume me.
I try to fight it,
but it is powerful
and I sometimes feel
that it would be better
to just give in.
But then your light shines through
like a beacon calling me back
You give me the strength
to continue the fight.
And I know that one day
I will conquer the darkness
And you will be there by my side
to help me celebrate my victory.
