Here are the New Dvd details and some words from George about them :-
1/ Death by Misadventure: the mysterious life of Bruce Lee - the film that exposes the real cause behind Bruce Lee's death. With over 30 minutes of rare and unseen footage of Bruce Lee.
- audio commentary by Davis Miller and dr. Don Langford
- extended interviews with - George Lazenby, Dr. Langford, Dr. Eugene Chiu
- featurettes:
-`I shot Bruce Lee' by cameraman Charles Lowe
-`My teacher, Bruce Lee' by Charles Lowe
-`Enter the Dragon Eyewitness' with Philip Ko
The Lazenby and Charles Lowe pieces are tremendous. Philip's account of the Bob Wall bottle incident will have you rolling over. Plus he describes how Lee dusted a Tiger/Crane stylist on the set. Davis and Langford's conversation is very enlightening and adds to Langford's already detailed account of how Lee really died.
2/ Bruce Lee-True Story - starring Bruce Li.This is the most popular Bruce Lee bio film ever!
- 2 audio commentaries: `Bruce Lee-from man to myth' with Davis Miller, Joe Lewis, Joe Hyams and myself. We talked about how Lee went from a real human being to the martial arts god he is today. Lots of unheard stories and some terrific insights.
- Audio 2 is myself and Miller. I basically used the film to point out what's incorrect about each scene, and give the real stories instead.
- `The Bruce Lee Stories' - history of the Lee exploitation films.
- `What Bruce Lee taught me' with Joe Lewis
- original trailer and t.v. spots
- interviews with: Bruce Li, director Ng See Yuen, screenwriter Ed Khmara (Dragon-the Bruce Lee story)
3/ Bruce Lee-Fist of Unicorn - a lost classic finally available! See Bruce Lee as never before! Includes original trailer and two versions of the film: Mandarin widescreen and English fullscreen. Includes an unseen photo gallery, interviews, feturettes and more!
- featurettes:
- `The last day of Bruce Lee' doc hosted by Betty Ting Pei.
- `Fight scenes the Bruce Lee way' with Bruce Lee's stunt team
- Bruce Lee in 1972 photo gallery
Ji Han Jae and Whong In Sik have a couple of good fights. Jackie Chan is also there, wallying about in the background (where he rightfully belonged in a Lee project).
The bonus stuff is great. The trailer has some rare Lee. `Last day...' has a lot of the premiere party and funeral. The fight scenes piece with the stunt lads is great stuff. They talk about how Lee did the fights (and demonstrate), and cover all kinds of topics (the battle yells, how he slept, all kinds of things).
The photo gallery was done by me, and it's absolutely superb (of course). There's about 50-60 shots covering the year of 1972, including Unicorn, costume shoot, Way and Game. Shots of Lee doing aiki-jitsu, the famous G.O.D. log bit, even Lee using a banana (quite lethal it is!). Buy the film.
4/ Young Bruce Lee-the little Dragon - contains over 80 minutes of rare and unseen Bruce Lee, including his first U.S. television gung fu demonstration! Witness his childhood films to his gretaest fights. With audio commentary by his first U.S. student and special featurettes. A collectors dream!
- audio commentary by Lee's first student Jesse Glover
- interview with Leo Fong
- featurettes:
- `Remembering Bruce Lee-a Seattle tour' with Jesse Glover
- `Bruce Lee's Ancestral Village' - tour of his father's village and the Bruce Lee museum.
- U.S. Gung Fu Television Demo - Milton Berle piece with Lee as Kato
The film is for hard, hard core fans who can sit through the childhood films. The bonus materials with Jeese are great ( audio comm. is VERY informative), and the ancestral piece is hosted by Chaplin Chang. The Berle show piece quality looks like a kinescope, but it's watchable.
5/ Dragon 4 Pack - The Dragon's roar-times Four! Bruce Li, Dragon Lee, Bruce Le and many other Bruce's are included in this action packed DVD set. Films include: Clones of Bruce Lee, Bruce Lee's Deadly Kung Fu, Bruce 's Fist of Vengeance and Big Boss 2. The best action since Bruce Lee!
One more thing - all these DVD's will have featurette called ~In the foosteeps of the Dragon' which is narrated by Jesse Glover, and features a fellow named Tommy Carruthers. Let me say that Tommy is Bruce Lee #2, hands down. This is the baddest man around. I don't give out props lightly, so take note. There's a new martial star, and his name is Tommy Carruthers. If you are looking for a standard of excellence, look no further than this dude.
