She was born and raised in Pasadena, California as the oldest of four children.
After earning her degree in theater from Northwestern University she concentrated mainly
on stage work. She was part of the original cast of "Grease" by playing Marty. She performed
in the first off-Broadway production of "Godspell". Other theater work include: "Barefoot in the
Park", "The Wizard of Oz", "Romeo and Juliet", "Hamlet" and "The Twelfth Night". Along with the
feature film "Loving Couples" she has been seen on the small screen in such shows as "Tyhe Paper Chase"
and "The New Love American Style". Her daytime credits are: "Search for Tomorrow" as Lisa Walton Sentell
in 1974-1977, "The Young and the Restless" as Julia Newman in 1980-1987 and "Santa Barbara" as Megan
Richardson in 1989-1990. She has also served as a writer on "Santa Barbara", "The Young and the Restless",
"Genration", "Family Medical Center", "Bold and the Beautiful" and most recently on "Sunset Beach".
Also she has written two television movies called "You are the Jury" and "Love Letters from the Grave" which is
an Aaron Spelling Production and shown in 1991 on NBC. In 1986 her work on "The Young and the Restless" earned her
a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Writing. She lives in LA. She is involved with numerous charities. She serves as Co-
Director of the Mentor Program, which seeks to aid homeless children as well as being an active member of the West Coast
Creative Coalition and the Los Angeles Coalition of Choice. She is 5�8" tall.
