AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is my first attempt at a real Angst fic. I had a urge to write. I
know it stinks but this is one of my favorite songs.. it doesn't quite match up but oh well.
Oh and I miss Oz.
Willow growled and threw the pencil across the room. It wouldn't float. She'd lost
all her concentration and couldn't float a pencil now that Oz had left. She could barely
write with one much less make one float. She sighed loudly and tried not to think about
it.
Buffy had left for LA probably having her heart torn out by Angel at that very
moment. Men. Willow was starting to feel quite bitter towards the whole race. No it
wasn't Angel's fault that her love life sucked, it was Angel's fault Buffy's love life sucked.
Double sigh.
But oh, Buffy did have a somewhat normal love life. Riley. He liked Buffy and he
seemed nice. Willow wondered if anything would happen now since Angel had shown
up. Poor Buffy. Willow stared at the text and it blurred slightly, this was suppose to be a
happy time, right before the holidays. Unfortunately Willow didn't have much to be
happy for other then her wonderful friends. Still she missed Oz.
She jumped up and tromped over to her bed flipping on the stereo. Soothing music started to beat itself from the speakers and she dropped down onto her bed and hugged Mr. Gordo to her. How had he gotten on her bed? Who cared he was comforting. Her ears perked up as a new song played across the speakers a clear voice echoing through the room.
"The way you're bathed in light
reminds me of that night
god laid me down into your rose garden of trust
and I was swept away
with nothin' left to say
some helpless fool yeah I was lost in a swoon of peace
you're all I need to find
so when the time is right
come to me sweetly, come to me
come to me"
Willow breathed. This song was a bitter reminder of everything. The song took a quick
heavy sound as the chorus pounded itself out.
"Love will lead us, all right
love will lead us, she will lead us
can you hear the dolphins cry?
see the road rise up to meet us
it's in the air we breathe tonight
love will lead us, she will lead us."
Willow felt a hot tear stream down her face. She angrily wiped it away. She missed Oz but she was past the crying stage, she was cried out.
"Oh yeah, we meet again
it's like we never left
time in between was just a dream
did we leave this place?
this crazy fog surrounds me
you wrap your legs around me
all I can do to try and breathe
let me breathe so that I
so we can go together!"
She curled herself into a ball. She could remember Oz's hands his breathe.. his soft words
and his smile that was just for her. Would he ever be back? It seemed like it had already
been a eternity since he left. She cried softly lost in memories of Oz and the love she
missed so dearly.
"Love will lead us, alright
love will lead us, she will lead us
can you hear the dolphins cry?
see the road rise up to meet us
it's in the air we breathe tonight
love will lead us, she will lead us.
life is like a shooting star
it don't matter who you are
if you only run for cover, it's just a waste of time
we are lost 'til we are found
this phoenix rises up from the ground
and all these wars are over
over
over
sing' la da da, da da da
come to me
come to me
yeah la da da, da da da
come to me.."
The song ended. A loud radio announcer blared to life and Willow rolled over and
angrily shoved the off button of the stereo. She lay there for a moment breathing deeply
and clutching Mr. Gordo to her. She jumped when the phone rang, she picked it up and
tried not to sniffle into the phone. "H-hello?" she mumbled. No one answered she heard
slight breathing in the background and then a click. She set the phone back into the
receiver and got up, she needed to get through her psyche work. She'd had enough self
pity for one day.
