Willow Rosenberg sat beside her best friends grave. Holding a single rose to replace the one
she had placed there last week. She pulled off the older rose and set the fresh sweet
smelling flower down. It reminded her of Buffy everything did now that she was gone.
Willow felt her eyes well up with tears, she had spent most of her summer crying.
Buffy's Mother had found her curled up on her bed clutching a bottle of sleeping pills. Oz had told Willow the day she was
out of the hospital at first she had thought Oz was lying to her... then she had seen the truth in his
eyes. She had cried then, and had barely stopped since. Her best friend was gone she had been gone for three
months. Willow had moved away from everyone, Her parents, Xander, Oz, Giles. She didn't have anyone anymore
Buffy was gone and so was her world.
Willow sat back on her heels and looked up at the full moon, Oz at the moment was probably caged up
in the library. Giles had taken Buffy's death hard he hardly ever talked unless you asked him a
specific question. Xander had completely ignored it, she guessed that was his way of dealing. He choose to ignore
the pain rather then let it get to him. Oz had focused his strength on trying to hold her up, she loved him
so much. He was always there for her. Cordelia had been there for Willow too oddly enough, it was like
she was trying to fill up the space Buffy had taken. She had even taken Willow shopping a few times Saying
if she was going to date Xander his friends HAD to at least look good.
Willow cried for her lost friend for a few more minutes feeling the now familiar feelings.
Anger that she could be so selfish as to take her own life, sadness because she would never
heard Buffy laugh again, happiness because she had had such a wonderful best friend even if it was only
for a short time, and of course pity for Buffy. Even if she was gone Willow felt horrible,
Buffy had had to kill her only love, it had to be the most horrible feeling on earth. Later they had found out
she was also expelled and had a horrible fight with Joyce. Joyce... she had packed up and left
Sunnydale as soon as she got a chance... she had said she couldn't deal with being there. Willow understood, the only thing Willow
had taken from Buffy room was Mr. Gordo, Buffy's beloved pig. Joyce had said she could have
anything... but nothing else seemed to matter.
The funeral had been beautiful, flowers everywhere. Tears had also been a main theme which Willow guessed
happened at all funerals. Oz had almost had to drag Willow away from
Buffy's grave side after everything was done. Finally after a few more minutes of starring at the headstone Willow decided this was
it... she wouldn't be coming back here, it was to painful. Buffy was gone. Willow had to let her go.
She turned and walked away from the grave "Goodbye." Was all she could say and started home.
