Due to the fact that Bubblegum has amnesia, he can't
remember a thing about his mortal life. His first memory is of waking up with blood on
both his head, where he believes that he fell down and hurt himself baddly; and blood in
his mouth. There was a woman standing near him, but hidden by the shadows. When he
questioned her about who she was, where he was, and WHO he was, she simply told him that
he was Bubblegum, and then she walked away. Bubblegum was too weak to follow the woman
to ask her more.
He was found in his weak state by a Gangrel, named
Christian. Christian was taken back by Bubblegum's complete lack of any memories, and
decided to take the boy under his wing. Even when he found out that Bubblegum was of the
Brujah clan, he didn't turn the boy away. All of Bubblegum's knowledge of how to be a
vampire came from Christian, so his ideals are quite different from those of other Brujah.
Though, because of Bubblegum's being Brujah, he can't completely turn away from his blood,
he isn't the world's perfect Gangrel impersonator either.
When the Brujah Prince of Valdosta decided that he wanted
to wage war on the Gangrels and the Garou living in his territory, Bubblegum became mixed
up in the battle. Because he was in a possition to choose either side, the Prince tried to
win the wayward pup back over to the Brujah side of things. But Bubblegum's ties to
Christian were too strong. By the time that Christian was the last Gangrel in the city, who
hadn't died or fled from the conflict, Bubblegum was completely disowned by the Brujah in
the city.
After being disowned by the clan of his new
blood, Bubblegum made vows to Christian that he would be as Gangrel as his blood would allow
him to be, and that he would fight for the causes that Christian himself fought for. It was
only then that Bubblegum learned the true reason why Christian hadn't fled with the rest of
the Gangrels when he had the chance. He was actually an accepted member of the local Garou
Glass Walker Tribe. The wolf-men tested Bubblegum's will, his heart, and his willingness
to truely carry out his word to fight for Christian's causes. Afterward, Bubblegum wasn't
a member of the Pack, but the wolves treated him with much less distain than they did the
other vampires in the area.
Nearly three years had past with nothing more done about
the war that the Prince claimed to be waging. Then Christian brought her home, her name
was Cathren Holly when she was a mortal, but it became Cat after she had ranaway from her
mortal home and started living on the streets. Bubblegum never said a word to Christian
about the feelings that this new childe had started stiring in him. But in his heart, he
knew that he would likely follow Cat to the ends of the Earth, even farther than he would
follow Christian himself.
