Brightest Future*
The award ceremony of the first
"Actress with the Brightest Future" award, sponsored by Christian Dior,
was held at Island Shangri-La hotel yesterday. The award is to praise young
actress who has a positive and proactive work attitude, and who strives
incessantly to improve upon herself. After careful deliberation by a panel
of judges,Kenix was selected as the "Actress with the Brightest Future"
in HK. Kenix was very happy to have won this award. During the presentation,
she couldn't help but shedding tears of joy. She wholeheartedly said, "Although
it isn't a very big award, [I am happy that] my acting skills are appreciated.
Often, working hard may not reap rewards. Nevertheless, it shouldn't be
an excuse for not trying, but a call for doubling our efforts." Aside from
the award presentation, CD also arranged a cake to celebrate her birthday.
When Kenix saw the birthday cake and her congratulating fans, she was so
moved and touched to shed tears again. "I cry because I am too happy,"
she explained. When asked if she plans to get married now that she is a
year older,Kenix replied that she won't hurry into marriage because of
age. CD custom-made a luxurious watch to present to Kenix in the award
ceremony. One of the judges, Lo Kwok Wai stated that 24 diamonds were engraved
on the watch, whose actual worth is yet to be appraised. He further disclosed
that 7 other movie and TV actresses were also nominated for the award,
but refused to name names. Mr Lo also explained the criteria for the award:
1. Having a positive and proactive work attitude and a healthy image. 2.
Having been in the entertainment circle for no more than 5 years.

Kenix stated that on the night [of Dec. 12, in the Tung Wah Charity Show],
she will perform a wild, hot singing and dancing show with Adam Cheng,
Angie Cheng etc. She has been practicing singing and dancing hard recently.
She is now most leisure since her entering the entertainment circle. Nevertheless,
she has just signed a 1-year-4-series contract with TVB. Earlier, she resigned
from Plain Love II because of schedule conflict. "I really want to film
a good series, but much depends on happenstance," she said. When asked
about her secret of getting along so well with Frankie, she replied, "Mutual
understanding and readily communicative." She sent on to add, "But I don't
plan to get married soon, since I want to concentrate on advancing my actress
career."

with the Best Pearly Lustrousness" and "Actress with the Brightest Future".
Kenix takes the "Actress with the Brightest Future" award very seriously.
One criterion for the award is that an actress has been in the entertainment
circle for not more than 5 years. She is very glad to see her acting skills
being acknowledged. During the award presentation, she couldn't help but
shedding tears of joy. Kenix said that her five-year journey in the entertainment
circle has been quite smooth. This award is proof that her efforts are
not wasted. She repeatedly emphasized that she won't forget yesterday's
award ceremony. After the ceremony, she held a birthday party at the Island
Shangri-La hotel. Although her official birthday is on Nov 27, she expedited
the party to celebrate it with her oversea fans. Kenix was happiest because
her acting skills were appreciated. Surrounded by her fans, Kenix shed
tears again while cutting her birthday cake; she was so moved and touched
by her fans' support. Afterwards, Kenix told the media that she felt
quite embarrassed for having shed tears so readily. As for her birthday
wishes, she wants good health for her family and friends. When asked about
her age, Kenix replied without hesitation, "29." She doesn't consider age
as a woman's secret. Besides, she has participated in the Miss HK pageant,
her age is no longer private. In Kenix' surprise birthday party, customary
during their 3-year dating, her boyfriend Frankie didn't show up. Kenix
disclosed that she was yet to receive her birthday present from Frankie.
Although they have only dated for 3 years, Kenix is worried about feeling
like an "old" couple. So, they don't see each other everyday. Also, she
