"Don't worry! I'm here!" Kenix said. The above words was said 10 years ago, what she told her classmate next door. She can't really remember the exact incident but she would never forget the result and cause of these words. In return, she has an half inch scar on her left eye brown. This could be one of the reason of her not getting into the top 3 places of Miss Hong Kong in '93.
However, unable to get into the top 3 actually really doesn't matter to her. Beside the top 3 winners themselves, the reporters believe no body can remember who are the top 3 for that year. But if you ask any "Si nai" (Housewife) who were doing their marketing  at 11am in the early part of the day, they would definately know who is Kwok Ho Ying. Last year, the hot topic regarding Kenix were on the issue of her and Michael's DIF series. This year there is another hot topic among the neighbourhood, the issue is Mr Lum Mun Lung (Frankie). Is she really co-habiting with Frankie, the ATV actor who was once an TVB actor? Since they have already co-habited, why aren't they getting  married ...etc..etc..? That day, we were at the hill side and were attacked by a group of flies. "Don't worry, I'm here"!" Kenix said. She always "Yeh Mun" (gets into trouble) when she said the above words. 10 minutes later, she had many small red spots on both her hands and legs. Thanks to Kenix, I don't even get one.

Next: Do you always suffer from insomnia (cannot sleep)?
Kenix: Since small, I've always set really "big" target. Always giving myself great  pressure. I forced myself to get top 1 in school, sometimes when I got second, I became very unhappy. I started to get insomnia at very young age because I normally stay up late till 4, 5 am to study. Later when I newly started work in the society, I wanted to be a career woman. Later when I participate in Miss HK and enter this line, at first I've got really 'big hope', I wanted strive to become a "Ying Hao" (best actress) and win awards. However I slowly understand, in our line, its not all about acting skill. No matter how hard I try in polishing my acting, when comes to having good opportunities, I've got nothing to say.
Next: Do you think you're lucky?
Kenix: "My career is consider going quite smoothly, but not exactly that lucky. I used to think this way; isn't it a natural thing to get the leading role imediately after one participate in the beauty pageant? Now that I think back and look at the friends around me, including my boyfriend, their encounter makes me understand that not everything would naturally take its place. I'm not so lucky when I met the 'low tide' (movie industry not doing well) when I just decided to film movie."
Next: Is it your family background that makes you so competitive?
Kenix: My character is born naturally this way. But my parents are really strict with me. They think that as long as I'm within their sight, than I won't go wrong. This result in making me very enclose to myself and very narrow minded. When I raise my child next time, I'll make sure I won't do this to them.
Next: Is your relationship with your parents bad?
Kenix: My character is very strong, and I always talk back. We lack of mutual     understanding but now that I grow older, our family gets more harmony. Actually my character really resemble my father very much. and I adores him most. My father comes from a poor family. He had to live in wooden built house, to carry water from a distance in order to cook rice. He is full of determination because he manage to complete his secondary education in this bad condition. As you all know, during his time, people think its really a great thing to graduate from secondary school, and so his name was even published in the paper together with the rest of the graduates. My father originally works in an art gallery selling paintings. He resigned that at the age of 40 to do his own business. I most admire his courage to start own business from 0 capital. He works hard continuously, everything starts from 0 to what he have today. Frankly speaking, if he sells all his property and trade them for cash,he is rich enough to enjoy the rest of his life. But he choose to continue his business, and he is thinking of how to do breakthrough. How could you not admire him.
Next: Did you ever thought of successing his career?
Kenix: When I just graduate, he already asked me to help him. In actual fact, among my four sisters and brothers, 3 are already helping him. My character resemble him, now my greatest hope is to see how far can myself go in competiing with others. I'm like him, our character's are explosive. The explosion comes fast and dissapear fast too. Its natural we have some conflicts when we live together last time. But now I get along so well. Afterall, he is still the person I adores most.
Next: Is it a good thing or bad thing if a girl's character is too strong?
Kenix: Last time I think its good. Now that I'm older and realise that if you're strong, everybody would think you could do anything, no body would help you. When nobody helps you, you have to fight everything yourself and shoulder the responsibilities. Now I learn to be smarter, be more girlish, don't flaunt my superiority, take some advantages from others.
Next: You broke off with your ex boyfriend after you enter the showbitz not long, is it because of third party?
Kenix: For my character, I need more times to communicate with others. If I only get to see the person long time once, I think I wouldn't be able to keep the relationship. Last 2 years, I've to film one show after another, I've less time for my boyfriend to communicate. When things like that gets longer, naturally there were less feelings. Now that me and Frankie are both as busy, we understand each other's condition. When we find any single time to take a break, we would date each other out to dine. Even if its just one minute to confict things that happen in a day, we both feel comfortable.
Next: Its this your greatest change?
Kenix: After I enter this line, I became more tactful. Last time, I'm too strong, I show on my face the things I like and dislike. Now learn to put myself in others position and think for them. Everybody is here to work, there is no need to suffer from anger. As long as everyone is happy will do.
Next: Do you guys feel pressurise after you have announced of co-habiting together?
Kenix: I don't purposely tells people about this :" We co-habiting together lah!", but I also don't want to tell lies. I feel that before co-habiting together, both parties must have deep thought about it. Both must know where they stands, which stages is their relationship. Don't anyhow, anyhow. I don't agree to co-habit immediately when two persons just started dating not long. Actually I once thought of not dating an actor because I found the guys in the entertainment circle very flert. I never expect I would slap my own mouth. A bamboo stick really cannot hit all lot of people down from the boat. (meaning cannot condem the whole lot just because of one or two bad ones inthe lot). For example many people said the entertainment circle is a place which would turn people bad, but I've known many girls who are very down to earth and treasure themselves very much here.

Kenix enter into showbitz after she won 2 big awards; "The Most Popular among Media Award" and "Best Potential In Acting Award" when she participate in the 1993 Miss Hong Kong. She had filmed more than 15 TV series within 5 years and has secure the top actress' throne. She had co-star many of the hottest actors. However, the main male co-star in her heart is none other than Lum Mun Lung.
Michael To Tai Yu
I've co-star with so many actors, Michael is the one that has the most tacit with me. My first series "Catwalk" already put us together as a couple. I feel that Michael and myself are really fated in some way.

Lum Ka Tung
He is in the same batch (acting class) as Mun Lung, thus I am more familiarise with him. There isn't a quiet moment with him around. He and sister Ha Peng (the lady who acted as Yi Chai and Si Lung's aunt in DIF 3) forms a comical twin. When I was filming "Simple Ordinary" with Ka Tung, I'm very happy.
Sunny Chan Kum Hung
Among all the many actors, he is the one who don't mind anything. He isn't calculative and he is willing to lend others a helping hand. Therefore, he has good relationships with many others.
Chueng Chilam
I gave my first on-screen kiss to him. That time, he haven't start dating Anita Yuen and I haven't break off with my ex boyfriend who doesn't belong to the showbitz. He is good at making people happy and beside, he is good looking. But of course he isn't as good looking as my boyfriend lah :)
Felix Wong Yat Wah
Before I enter into showbitz, I already love to watch his series. I had never dream that I would one day co-star with him. However he gave me a feeling of being too senoir :), thus I don't feel that close to him.

Bobby Aw Yeung
Normally the first line actors are really good looking, however he belongs to the
 "unexpected type". In a way he has less competitors :), he is handsome.
When you see him, you already wanted to start laughing :)

Next: Are you getting married to Lum Mun Lung after 3 years?
Kenix: I don't want people to make my marriage decision for me. Somebody asked when I'm getting married, I just casually said maybe 3 years, 4 years later lah. And what happen is the next day, I saw the paper's headline saying " Kwok Ho Ying is getting married after 3 years.  Actually I'm still young and I'm ambitious, hoping to strive harder in my career. I feel that there are different stages in a lifetime. Marriage is one of them. After marriage, you won't concentrate so much on your career. So why don't I do things bit by bit? After I've complete one thing than I go on to do the next one?
Next: No matter whether is about fame, popularity or career, you are doing much better than your boyfriend. Does this affect your relationship and cause hinder?
Kenix: How should I put it? He is just unlucky. He has good potential but he is
unlucky. When he was with TVB, he was doing quite well at first. However, don't know how come he offended some people, causing him to leave TVB for ATV, and ATV is....I've privately talked to him regarding these things. I've never mind anything regarding this. I believe he won't mind too. Kenix said she is always in a stage of anxious. When its time for her to go to bed, her brain is still hyper active, she would think this think that. She thought that her insomnia would follow her for the rest of her life, lucky enough, she met one person. Finally this person make her understand something. "I've talked to this person      throughout the whole night one day. I finally understand that the ups and downs in life are not within our control. We have to take things naturally and easily. This would make a person more happy." However, Insomnia is still my old friend. It would still visit me once a while. Kenix would take this opportunity to take thing easily and naturally, she would read books or watch the TV until the sun comes up. She really sees brighter sunlight (because she solved her problems.)
