Stephanie's first experience of modelling came when she was a little girl - her mother was a photographer and would use Stephanie as a model. Her modelling career began after she entered the Californian heat of the Elite 'Model Look' contest when she was 15 years old. She finished in the final and Elite signed her up. She appeared in the 1988, 1989 and 1991 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and also in the film "Pollock". In 1990, Stephanie had her first child, a boy named Dylan Andrew. She has dated rock musician Axl Rose (she appeared in the Guns 'n Roses video 'November Rain'), actor Warren Beatty and John Casablancas, head of the Elite model agency, but in 1995, she married Peter Brant, a Polo partner of Prince Charles of Wales. Stephanie has two other sons - Peter Jr. and Johnny Joseph. She has a tattoo around her right ankle.
