"The Pretender"

Episodes Recap/ Third Season:

Jarod pretending to be insane

EPISODE 1: "Crazy": Jarod confines himself to a mental institution in order to discover the truth about the murder of one patient and the illegal incarceration of another. In this episode viewers also learned that Mr. Lyle is Miss Parker's twin brother... and that he's back in The Centre, thanks to "daddy", and assigned to the pursuit of Jarod. As for the blast in SL-27: everyone but Gar the Cleaner miraculously survived, but Sydney was left blind, and Mr. Raines was left confined to a wheelchair. The emotion-packed banter between Jarod and the killer is the highlight of this episode... in which we also learn that Jarod, twenty years ago, had been unsuccessful in stopping the serial killer from murdering Mr. Raines' daughter, Annie.
