Subject: Helpful JAG urls
Hello,

Here are some military and JAG urls you might find helpful for your JAG FAQ/site.  I was just browsing the web, taking notes for myself when I thought they might be of use for you also.  You may already know about some of them so forgive me if I am redundant.  I tried to group them in some sort of logical manner.

[...]

Hopefully the urls can be put to some good use.[...]

NAVY RANK:  Officer & Enlisted
These links provide good pictures and give specific information on:
* Paygrade
* Rank/Rate (Officers go by Rank, Enlisted by Rate.)
* Designation/Rating (ie. occupational specialty.)

* Hat/Shoulder/Collar, Shoulder Board, & Sleeve Devices or Emblems
The "rating badge" of enlisted personnel is a combination of rate (pay grade as indicated by the chevrons--or "V"s used on unifroms) and rating (occupational specialty as indicated by the symbol just above the chevrons.)
