When Gabby goes into the first challenge, her grip on the sword is left above right. This is a very unnatural position for anyone right handed, and not someting she does anywhere else in the show.
Make-up! After defeating the three warriors around the pit of fire, Gabby's hair is (amazingly) quite messy. When she stands up, it's back to her standard impervious do.
According to the thesis of the show, when Xena reaches the other end of the passage her spirit will be reunited with her physical body, which is not wearing her armor. Looks like someone gave her a little bonus!General Comments
