!THANKS!
Just who IS Tim Leblanc you ask? Mr. Leblanc is a stuntman from the new James Bond movie "The World is Not Enough!" He's not just any stuntman. He's the man that does all of the outrageous stunts with the "Parahawk!"
The Parahawk is basically a souped-up powered parachute. They just put a black frame and some other cool extras on it! It really looks neat!
Well, here's the story... My Dad took me to this Ultra Lite convention. It was very cool! Anyway, while we were there, my Dad talked to a few different companies about powered parachutes, and how much they cost and how safe they are. The first people that we talked to were from the powered parachute company named Buckeye. I stood next to him and listened and looked and wondered what it was like to fly one.
The next tent that we went to was setup by the company Six Chuter. We looked around a bit, and then we were approached by a man from the Six Chuter company. My Dad talked to him for a while, too. Then he asked, "have you heard of the new movie The World Is Not Enough?" My ears perked up. Before my Dad could say anything, I jumped in.
"Yeah, yeah! What about it?!"
"The guy that flies the Powered Parachute, he flies a Six Chuter." The man said.
"Wow!" I said, "That's cool!"
"And," the man continued, "He's right over there."
"NO WAY!" I exclaimed, "Really?!"
"He sure is." replied the man. "Tell ya what." He continued, "let's surprise him. Go on over there and ask him for his autograph."
So, I walk on over to where he was standing, and when he was done talking to another man I looked up at him and said, "Mr LeBlanc? Hi. I'm Eric Perkins and I was wondering if I could have your autograph."
"Sure." he replied without hesitation. He walked to his car and opened the back door. He pulled out an envelope and took a large picture out of it. He then walk back to a table and grabbed a pen. He wrote
"To: Eric
From: Tim Leblanc" and handed it to me.
"Oh wow!" I said in aw.
"Now promise me that you won't go and sell it." he said jokingly.
"You got it." I replied still stunned
Well. That's the story. We talked for a little while and he told me about his experiences in the french Alps. It was great.
