Beth Maitland (Traci)
Beth Maitland rejoined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Traci Connolly in May of 2001.
Beth was born in Rapid City, South Dakota. At the age of seven, her family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and she wound up attending the University of Tempe where she majored in music and theater.
Beth began acting professionally in the theater at the age of thirteen. She acted in seven plays in educational theater, dinner theater, community theater and regional theater, all in Arizona. She has done commercial work and voiceovers.
Her stage work includes roles in You Can't Take It With You, The Skin Of Our Teeth, Candide, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Crucible, just to name a few.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1978, Beth began working for John Davidson's Singer Summer Camp developing night club acts. She began taking acting classes at the Los Angeles Film Industry Workshop, which led to her joining the faculty to teach acting, as well as a course in daytime television.
She has co-starred in numerous television series and telefilms including Good Time Harry, Situation Comedy, The New Love American Style, and the Carol Burnett Special Plaza Suite.
Beth also had a supporting role in Mr. Holland's Opus with Richard Dreyfuss.
During Beth's free time, she and her husband raise and train her five horses. They also have five dogs and a cat, which are all adopted. She enjoys riding in equestrian events, swimming, bicycling, racquetball, jazz and modern dancing. Beth is also devoted to many charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association and The American Cancer Society.
