Dominic West: 30%

After a slating by the critics, it was only my desire to see Dominic in something other than True Blue that made me hire this. Oh, and some stills that showed him in a DJ! Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised. As a comedy drama it's not up there with the greats, but it is mildly diverting.

Sandra Bullock gets put in rehab for a month and Dominic plays her obnoxious boyf Jasper who tries to tempt her from the straight and narrow. The girl-meets-sobriety story isn't exactly the most original of concepts, but there are some very cool moments. The inmate's addiction to an awful soap opera in particular definitely brought back memories of the Tailors watching Sunset Beach!

As for the Dominic quota he does keep popping up throughout the film and retains his English accent. On the down side he has to act like a veritable cad and a bounder. Is there any American film where the Englishman isn't tarred like this?!
