Palace of Night Art Gallery

Only some drawings of mine and a couple of poems available at the moment.
Also check out Hugo Simberg's art to see one of my favorite Finnish artists and his works. The exhibition of his work at Ateneum was at least until recently available via a search at The Finnish National Gallery. My all-time favourite painting of his has to be the Garden of Death. I'm very fond of his Death in general, it reminds me of the Death in Terry Pratchett's books.

Poetry

3x Scorpius from Farscape
Lieutenant Braca sketches from FS
One more of Braca

Fairytale painting I did after reading a lot of Finnish fairytales. Actually it's only an A4 detail of the A3 I did it in. The lamb she's walking and the fountain and such stuff were cut out by the A4-sized scanner (29.03.)

Watercolour + 2 drawings of Andrew Divoff
Dr. Haze from Circus of Horrors
This is a quick water colour painting I did of Haze after I'd finally bought water colours again. Need to fix the line on the throat still, had to scan this in 2 stages, too big for the scanner otherwise.

A little water colour painting I did of some model at the back of a fashion magazine, changing the colours (all black? gimme some colours!) a bit. 8.12.2000

Some more recent doodles of mine, with pens

Q (John deLancie) from Star Trek-The Next Generation's pilot episode Encounter at Farpoint, sketched from the tv-screen (paused videostill)

An idea I got from a Torture Garden flyer I have from my London days

Wellamo the sea goddess
I drew her when I was around 17-18 for my final work in the lukio 3rd year art class. She was part of a larger group of Finnish gods and goddesses I illustrated, only I no longer have the other pages of the thing, as my dear beloved father threw away most of my papers when I'd been in England for 2 months. One of the least important papers he destroyed I fear. I lost other far more important papers there, too.

Meresger the pirate
Sketched around 1995 maybe

Nyksalarisia and Fizban
A sketch of my elven character Nyks with Fizban the wizard, also from around 1995

Sam and Frodo
Tolkien's hobbits, inspired by the Finnish Hobitti TV-series
From around 1993? Look more like the human actors than hobbits. The next ones look more hobbity I suppose?

Merry and Pippin, also from the tv-series

This is another character sketch I did for my other website's Cobra profiles. It's based on a pic of Eva Marie Saint(?) and Cary Grant from North By Northwest, if I remember correctly. Also check out the other Cobra/Nightshade editor profiles, there's some more character drawings there.
