Essy Persson stars in this seminal soft-core outing from Sweden. Siv is a sixteen year old girl who works as an orderly in a hospital. Not satisfied with her foolish young boyfriend, Siv discovers the joys of adulthood from an older man she meets on her nightly rounds. This experience awakens her to go on to meet many men including a sailor. But to Siv, the relationships are purely physical, and she backs away when her partners start to get too serious. Overall, this is a really great film despite its offensive ending where Siv gets raped by one of her dates. A historically important work, featuring the immensely appealing Persson.
