Me Me Lai is a former television presenter who starred in some of the most famous Italian cannibal films of the seventies and early eighties. Me Me made her debut in Umberto Lenzis Il Paese del Sesso Selvaggio where she began her familiar role as the beautiful cannibal who captured the hearts of the Caucasian male victims. She went on to play similar roles in another Lenzi film as well as one for Ruggero Deodato. Outside of the excessive gore, Me Me Lai remains the most memorable aspect of the genre films in which she is featured.

Deodato's first cannibal film finds Massimo Foschi trapped by a primitive tribe on the island of Mindanao. He meets up with genre star Me Me Lai and plans his escape. A good movie, but a mere warm up for Cannibal Holocaust.
