Kento Rei Faun
Now for my bud Kento. I hate how in a lot of fanfics he's portrayed as the really stupid one. Kento isn't stupid! I think sometimes he feigns ignorance for a laugh but he's no dummy. I think some of the first fanfic writer's got their idea about Kento because he was always being teased and he eats a lot. Yeah, he's the fat, stupid pig, right? I think not! Perhaps the dumb jock, muscle bound image is what he wants you to believe but inside Kento's got a pretty soft heart and he understands more about what's going on than what he's given credit for.
I like the idea of Kento being the peacemaker and mediator--especially between Rowen and Cye. He comes from such a large family he's used to these kind of squabbles. He knows how to deal with them and that family background probably contributed to his more casual personality.
I really do think Kento has the best personality out of all the Ronins. My admiration for him first started when he was fighting with Dias and he suddenly became so scared that his armor would turn evil and that it would make him hurt his friends. But I adored him even more in the second OAV after Shin/Cye supposedly beat him up. And then he and Touma are in their rooms and Touma says something to the affect of "That was bad acting Shu, pretending that Shin beat you up." But he just waves it away, replying "Shin's a good person. He doesn't know who he wants to beat up."
There is a depth to Kento's personality that the other Ronins just can't reach. Kento is very much a people person and even though he tries to hide it, he understands more about human emotions than the others can imagine. And this is because he's been around so many people in his lifetime. He's had the experience that the others are lacking. And it's in this light that I come to the conclusion of Kento being far from stupid. Don't you agree?
