My Ronin Rant

Ronin Warriors was the first anime I fell in love with. Even though I am sorry to say my heart was given to them quite reluctantly. I was not, at this point, any kind of anime fan. I watched Cartoon Network's Toonami at times. Sailor Moon was kind of okay and while I did watch a lot of Dragon Ball Z, there still wasn't much passion there. When Ronin Warriors came on I didn't even bother to ask what it was called.
So the show went unnoticed as it rolled through the whole series. It started its second time around and I paused as my siblings sat in front of the tv to watch some blonde guy with a girlish hair do battle psycho evil deer. Having had enough of that I made a face at the show and continued on with my life.
And get this! I thought Rowen's name was Ronin and I thought he was the leader. But then everyone kept running up to the guy in red and they're all "Ryo, Ryo, you're the best!" I couldn't believe he was the leader of the group! For the life of me, could not figure out why they named the show after him if Ryo was the leader! LOL!
But one day I was flipping through the channels when I came across the show again. I saw two of the boys and their tiger entering the Dynasty alone to rescue their captured comrades. I watched as they clashed against a Lady Kayura and I kept coming back to watch the next day as these warriors fought dark armies with the help of a villain turned good.
I think Anubis was the main element that kept me coming back. His circumstances, along with his struggle to help his fellow Warlords and to free the possessed Kayura intrigued me like no other show had done before. I just HAD to see what happened next. And by the time the last episode came, I was hooked. I started catching some of the first episodes to see what I had missed and I was literally recapping the adventures of these characters in reverse order. The first episode was almost the last one I ever saw and is still one of my favorites.
Anubis was my key into this mystical world and was the first character I fell in love with. But as the other side of the story came into light, Anubis started to fade away as things like the Super Wave Smasher and Thunder Bolt Cut became more familiar to me. This site is for them. Mine--every bodies--Ronins and Warlords. My humble addition to the fandom world which fights to keep your world alive. Go forth and lead on, brave warriors.
