Actress Profile : Diane Burke (Katie Rogers)

Character -

Diane Burke is 23 years old and lives at home with her parents in Liverpool where she has lived all her life. She is an understanding, very supportive person, who loves to keep things tidy and organized. Her love for keeping things organized showed up when she was filming the scenes in the Solicitors office, between scenes she would find herself tidying up her desk. She has two sisters one of them works as a PA for a big company and the other one is currently training to be a solicitor. However in times of trouble she would be happier to turn to her parents for support as they are always able to offer good advice, and she feels she can trust them.

School Life -

During her school life she was a good worker but very talkative as she used to spend most of her time chatting to her friends. This seemed to annoy the teachers so they named her a chatterbox. While still at school she went with a few other girls to an audition for a part in Brookside. The audition proved successful resulting in her being offered the part of Katie Rogers when she was 12 years old.

Ambitions -

Although if she could play the part of another soap character it would have to be Bianca Butcher from Eastenders, as she’s dead feisty and such a strong character who always speaks her mind something that makes Diane laugh. Also if she wasn't an actress she would probably follow in her sister's footsteps for a career.

Personal Life -

Diane has a boyfriend called Lee who is 24 years old and his occupation is a welder and pipe fitter. They first meet one another when they were still at school and have been together for more than six years now. Her Boyfriend doesn't see Diane as being a famous actress he see's her for the person she is. However they have no plans to get married just yet, but when they do get married they hope to move in together. On their first holiday they went to the Greek islands which was about four years ago now. When they arrived the weather was awful which resulted with a lot of the bars being closed down. Since then they have been to Barbados which was beautiful.

Hobbies And Interests -

In her spare time Diane attends dancing lessons something she has taken part in since she was 13, although she no longer takes dancing so serious as she used to but see’s it more as a way of keeping fit. Her other big interest is Football, she loves to watch it on TV and sometimes goes to Football matches with her boyfriend. Her Favorite players are Michael Owen, Jamie Redknapp, Robbie Fowler and Patrick Berger. She supports Liverpool FC.

Her favorite record is called “oh what a night” by the four seasons, and regarding TV she is a big fan of Friends and keeps all the episodes on video. Also Diane’s favorite film is Dirty Dancing which she used to play over and over again when she was a child to sing along and dance to. Also her favorite food is baked Beans which she will eat with almost anything and even takes a tin on Holiday with her. The only thing Diane would like to change about herself is the annoying habit to worry over silly little things, so that she doesn't keep wasting her time worrying so much. Also she admires people who are able to pick themselves up in the face of adversity. As this puts things into perspective and makes day to day problems seem irrelevant.
