Mulder begins to hallucinate about a life in which he is married to Diana Fowley while Scully desperately searches for the answers behind the ancient artifact and the Navajo text from the ship. Meanwhile, Mulder is being operated on by CSM, who claims to be Mulder's father. The purpose of the operation is to take away Mulder's telepathy so that CSM, aka C.G.B. Spender, can use it for his own deeds.
