FBI Special Agent Dana Katherine Scully, M.D., with a degree in pathology and an undergraduate degree in physics, was assigned to the X-Files Department, located in the basement of the FBI Headquarters in Washington D.C., where she first met her partner, Special Agent Fox William Mulder, whom the bureau considered a renegrade agent, and his peers had not-so-secretly nicknamed Spooky. Together, they investigate cases that involve the paranormal.
