The plot of this series wasn't very exciting...not a great series...just okay

A cop series set in the early 90's, Eddie Cheung plays a discontent undercover cop. He doesn't like life as an undercover cop and wishes to return to the force. However, his girlfriend/supervisor (Pauline) wants him to finish one last case. The target is Bowie Lam. Once Eddie gets to know Bowie better though, he feels that Bowie is by no means evil. The two become good friends. Through Bowie, Eddie meets Loletta (Bowie's younger sister). One night, when Bowie and Eddie are trying to avoid cops, Eddie accidentally shoots Loletta. He feels very guilty and later, even finds out that she had a brain tumor when she was younger.

Bowie is later caught and forced to go to jail. And Eddie finally gets fed up and leaves the police force and his girlfriend. He feels relieved b/c he is no longer under the pressure of his girlfriend. He takes care of Bowie's younger sister and brother for him. Later, he dates Loletta. Pauline is plagued by her own past which Eddie doesn't understand. Her first boyfriend committed suicide b/c he couldn't handle the pressure of having his girlfriend in a position higher than himself.

Bowie is let out of jail later and is happy to see Loletta and Eddie together. However, other illegal activities occur. Later, Loletta's brain tumor show signs of growing again.

In the end, Eddie takes money from Bowie's illegal dealings and leaves with Loletta to the US to find her a better doctor. Bowie is killed. Pauline, the ever strict cop, is touched by his sincerity and lets him leave with the money. She finds companionship in her partner Tsang Wai Kuen.
