At first, I was reluctant to rent this series because it didn't look very interesting but I was surprised with the outcome. I enjoyed the series and everyone's performance, especially Esther Kwan and Alex Fong...they were such a funny couple. The plot wasn't so bad either. You should watch it =)

This is a series about the lives of three female ICAC members and all that they go through and give up as a result of joining the ICAC.

In the beginning, Sheren Tang, Lee Zhi Hung, and Seurng Tin Ngo are all members of the ICAC. Lee is their supervisor and team leader. Sheren is also a member of the firearms squad in ICAC. She is the only female at ICAC to have this recognition. Their team is investigating a case about insurance fraud. During the chase to capture the villian, Esther is held hostage and Sheren saves her and from then on, Esther looks up to Sheren.

Esther just returned home from college in England. She found out that her mom passed away and that all of her mom's savings were gone...therefore, she thought that her stepdad took the money. She never met him before because her mom only remarried a few years ago while she was away in college. Thinking that he was evil, Esther never acknowledged him and instead, always yelled at him. In actuality, her stepdad was a kind person and Esther's mom lost the money because of the stock market. Esther was looking for a job and saw an ad in the newspaper for the ICAC so she decided to try it out and she got called in for an interview.

Sheren lives with her dad and grandma. She also has an older brother but he's usually up in China doing business. Her grandma doesn't like her job as a member of the ICAC so Sheren lied and told her that she only did office duties there.

One day, Esther bumps into Sheren in the streets and they are both crossing the street when a guy on a motorcycle takes out a long knife and tries to kill Sheren. This guy is the husband of the person who Sheren captured earlier. To ensure their safety, Lee Zhi Hung puts them under the protection of the police at Esther's house. However, the killer still found them and tried to kill them. Esther's stepfather got shot in the arm when he was trying to save her. The killer got away once again. Esther and Sheren were moved to a different house near the rural areas and Esther got bored to death while she was there. Sheren told Esther that perhaps a job at the ICAC wasn't right for her because ICAC members had to be persistent and patient...Esther said she would change.

The team finally caught the killer. Esther and Sheren returned home. Sheren got in trouble with her grandma...not only that, but her boyfriend was annoyed that she disappeared for a few days. Her problems with her boyfriend got worse, and finally, they broke up.

Esther passed the interview and started training at ICAC. She was a quick learner and did well. Her only problem was that she had no patience and liked to do things on her own...Esther passed training and was assigned to Sheren's team. Sheren was supposed to be her partner but soon she started getting annoyed with Esther's rash personality and decided to sit her down to do research and paperwork for the team for a while. However, Esther did well with the credit card fraud case and she decided to listen to Sheren and try to change.

One day while Esther was waiting for a taxi, she was almost run over by a sportscar. To avoid getting hit, Esther made a dive for a bag of cement and got her face all dusty...she got really annoyed at the guy driving the car but he didn't even see her =) A few days later, Esther's new neighbor moved in...it turned out to be the same guy that almost ran her over...it was Alex Fong...Alex was the playboy type who loved to poke fun of Esther. Alex was a good guy at heart though and soon he decided that he wanted to chase after Esther...it was really funny.

A new case was underway whereby Lee Zhi Hung needed to send a few female ICAC members undercover to crack an underground cocaine group. He decided to send Seurng Tin Ngo and Esther into firearms training so that they could be part of the undercover team. Both passed the tests and were asked to go undercover. However, Seurng Tin Ngo had a husband and kids so she decided to pass on this assignment. Esther though, decided to join Sheren undercover and the two were sent to become flight attendants because the case involved flight attendants helping the underground society carry drugs.

Seurng Tin Ngo was a married "ci lai" with a son. Her relationship with her husband was very good until she accidentally got caught in the middle of the undercover assignment. She was following Sheren and Esther with the bad guys when they caught her so Sheren was forced to say that Ngo was her sister...therefore, she too couldn't return home for a few months and during this time, her husband developed feeling for their son's teacher...During this undercover assignment, Ngo was shot and when the case was finally finished, she went home and found out that her husband had feelings for another woman. Therefore, their relationship underwent drastic changes and they became distant...To revive their marriage, Ngo decided to quit her job and go on a long vacation with her husband...Lee refused to accept her letter of resignation and instead, decided to give her some time off.

Esther found out that Alex really did like her so they finally became a couple. However, his personality was still bugging her. Their relationship didn't last long when Esther found out that a few girls slept over at his house...even though nothing happened, Esther didn't believe him and they broke up. Esther found out the truth about her mom's money and apologized to her stepfather and they developed a better father-daughter relationship.

Sheren and their team leader, Lee Zhi Hung, also started to have feelings for one another. He was divorced and at first, their relationship went very well, but soon his ex-wife came back with their daughter and decided that she wanted to start over with him. In addition, Sheren's old family friend, Cheung Kwok Keung, returned to Hong Kong and he liked Sheren so the relationships got kindda messy, especially with Lee's ex-wife threatening to commit suicide and all. Then when a new case was passed along and Cheung Kwok Keung was suspected to be involved, things got even more confusing. To make matters worse, Alex Fong became a witness against Cheung Kwok Keung and Keung sent men to kill him. Esther was one of the people sent to protect him and Alex kept on pestering her. When he risked his life to save her, Esther decided to forgive him. Cheung Kwok Keung tried to set Sheren up for embezzlement but she, luckily, was found innocent and released. Lee went through a lot trying to find the witness so Sheren got back together with him.

Ngo came back from vacation with her husband and all was well with them. She decided to rejoin ICAC after talking it over with her husband.

Cheung Kwok Keung sent men to Esther's house and captured her. He threatened to kill her if Alex didn't give him the disk back which had evidence against him. Alex was forced to return the disk because he wanted to save Esther...Luckily though, Sheren caught up with him and fighting broke out and the rest of the team soon arrived. However, Cheung Kwok Keung held Sheren captive and left with her. A few days later, he called to request a helicopter...he set timed explosives all over her. Lee took Cheung to the helicoptor while the rest of the team tried to save Sheren. However, while running to the building where she was held, they set off explosives outside the building so therefore, Esther and Ngo were separated from the rest of the team. Therefore, they went inside to help Sheren. The rest of the team was forced to stay outside and wait for the bomb experts to arrive. The bomb experts taught Esther and Ngo how to take the bomb apart and they did so successfully. Meanwhile, Lee got a call from his team and they told him that there was no way of stopping the timer on the bomb...knowing that Cheung tricked him, he ran after him and caught him just before he got on the helicopter.

The ending showed Alex proposing to Esther and Lee proposing to Sheren, while Ngo was hugging her husband...
