Being a long-time Jessica fan, I couldn't help but summarize this series…I'd have to say that she and Wong He have good chemistry on-screen and are very cute together =)

Episodes 1-4

The series begins with 2 customs teams working together to investigate a ship which the customs department believes to be shipping gasoline illegally. One of the teams is under Liza's supervision. Her subordinates include: Mak, Jade, and Fiona and they are the team not in uniform. After Jade and another teammate find the gasoline on the ship, one of the suspects isn't detained in time and threatens to set fire and blow up the entire ship. Liza's quick actions cause the suspect to fall off the ship and the operation is a success.

Back at the office, Mak is in Liza's office and she praises him and the team for their efforts. In the main room, the team congratulates Mak and think that he will be promoted soon from team lead to chief inspector. Liza walks in and tells the team to keep up their good work while she goes to Macao for a one-day conference.

One her way back from Macao, Liza passes by customs, where Jessica is investigating a suspicious man who later faints. Liza walks up to Jessica and tells her that the man had been taking drugs. After the incident, Jessica chases Liza to get a few words with her…Liza is actually one of Jessica's auntie's (a relative by marriage on her mom's side of the family). Liza has always been Jessica's childhood idol.

Jessica returns home. Her family has just moved into a new apartment. She tells her parents and younger brother that she ran into Liza. Her parents decide to go to Liza's house to visit Liza's mother-in-law (Liza's mother-in-law is Jessica's mom's aunt) so that they can try to get Jessica switched to a better team. Unknown to them, Liza has already requested that Jessica be switched to her team.

Liza's husband has died many years ago. She lives with her mother-in-law but frequently goes back home to visit her own parents. Her father is a retired soccer player and her mom used to write novels.

Jessica is thrilled that she is being given an opportunity to work on a good team. She decides to treat her family out to dinner. On their way out, Jessica's mom wants to throw out one of their big chests that they no longer need. They run into their new next-door-neighbor, who also happens to be the Homeowner's President and he wants them to throw the chest out downstairs because it was a fire hazard to leave it in the stairwell. He also has an argument with Jessica's mom. He helps them throw the chest out downstairs and cuts his finger. Jessica's family walks off rudely, but Jessica went back to give him a band-aid. Suddenly, someone on a motorcycle shows up and starts spinning circles in front of them. The neighbor tells the guy on the motorcycle (his son) to stop spinning b/c it's making him dizzy…Wong He takes off his helmet and father and son start staring at each other. He thanks Jessica rather coldly and she gives them a funny look and takes off. Wong He thought that his father was trying to pick up a cute chick :)

Wong He's parents are divorced because his father had slept with a woman many years ago and his mom found out. His father argues that he was drunk and didn't know. His mom lives with He's younger brother. They only see each other on holidays and perhaps some weekends. He tells his father that he is reporting to the customs department the next morning.

Jessica also shows up at her new dept the next morning. The team finds out that Wong He is the new chief investigator. Wong He is rather cold towards everyone and right away, the team does not like him because he likes to do things his own way and rarely listens to others.

During the first function, the team is told to capture the leader of an illegal CD organization. Being a new person to the team, Wong He tells Jessica to perform "logistics" - carrying the bags and equipment. Jessica is rather disappointed. The operation turns out to be a bit of a disaster because Wong He got agitated with the suspect who was deliberately trying to provoke him and nearly hit him with many reporters being around. At the station, Liza gives He a bit of a lecture.

When he comes out of the office, he hears the team talking about him behind his back. He leaves and Jessica runs after him, trying her best to console him.

Wong He and his father are to have dinner with his mom and brother, William, that night. They go to a restaurant that has a bit of a Halloween type atmosphere. It's a rather amusing dinner as He's parents are always bickering. He's bother turns out to be a cop.

The reason for He's cold personality comes in part by his father's pressure to have him succeed and beat his younger brother. However, the main reason for his personality change was because a few months/years ago, he shot a suspect whom he thought had been reaching for a gun. For this reason, he lost the trust of his former superior and decided to transfer to the customs dept.

Wong He decides to follow up with the case and close down all the illegal CD stores opened by the suspect that they previously arrested. This time the operations are a success. However, Jessica is still unhappy as she is still performing "logistics" for the team. During one incident, she forgot the "caution/danger" tape in the can which is used to keep reporters out of their business and He yelled at her. Back at the office, Liza tries to tell He that although the operation was successful, his manner of communication needed some improvement. She told him that not everyone could handle black coffee with no cream and sugar…in a way, she was comparing He to coffee. He drank his coffee black but others like to add cream and sugar…

He went to talk to his old friend who owned a motorcycle store. His friend told him that Liza was right and was trying to help him. We find out that He likes to swim to block out unhappy things and relieve stress.

The team continues to investigate the illegal CD ring. This time, He lets Jessica ride with him as they follow a suspect. Jessica is also sent to pair up with Fiona to go to some malls to see if illegal CD are still being sold there. Jessica finds a store which appears to be selling clothes but in reality, is selling pirated CDs. However, when they get back to the office, Fiona takes all the credit. After this incident, Jessica further confirms that she doesn't like Fiona very much…she believes that Fiona only likes to kiss up to Liza by performing petty little things such as buying her breakfast and cutting out the newspaper clippings for Liza's scrapbook.

Wong He went out to dinner with his parents and brother again. This time though, his mom brought a woman along to hook He up with…it was soooooo funny ….the lady had something in her eye so He's mom told him to blow on it for her. He's dad didn't like the woman so he offered to do it…the lady jumped away and fell off her chair, tipped the table over, and ended up with red wine all over her ...

During another pirated CD operation, Jessica and another teammate are chasing one of the suspects. Although the suspect is captured, he pokes Jessica with a needle and tells her that he has AIDS. Wong He gets there just as the suspect reveals this. At the hospital, Jessica's parents are very worried but Jessica tries to appear calm in front of them. Wong He appears to be very troubled also. Liza tries to calm Jessica's family. While sitting on the hospital bed, Jessica is further depressed by the lady in the next bed who is talking to her husband. Jessica runs out of the room and heads downstairs. Wong He sees her on the verge of crying … he tells her that he just left to get some water for her. He tries to console Jessica…

Wong He tells his father about Jessica's situation so that he will not continue to argue with Jessica's parents. Jessica's family is very saddened. They have always depended on their daughter. Jessica is home from the hospital and feels that her parents are treating her like a patient.

Liza has a b-b-que and invites the whole team to her house. Jessica's parents tag along. Her mom starts talking and the conversation makes Jessica even more depressed and she runs out of the house. Wong He chases her and drags her to the pool. He forces her to swim and she feels much better afterwards. He tells her that he has always used swimming as a technique to reduce stress. When they go back to Liza's house, Liza notice the tremendous difference in Jessica's behavior….she seems much happier now. Fiona sees He smiling at Jessica and is very surprised because she's never seen him smile before…she believes that Jessica and He are an item. Wong He goes to the kitchen to make coffee and Liza is in the kitchen. He tells her that he believes drinking coffee with cream and sugar is better than plain black coffee…Liza is happy to hear this because it means that He has started to accept the team and has started changing.

Being a Catholic, Liza frequently goes to church with her mother-in-law. One time, she saw Danny at church lighting a candle. She ran into him a second time and then saw him at an old bookstore and they started to become friends. Liza's dad was interviewed by a magazine which lost some of the old pictures that they lent the reporter. As it turns out, Danny is the magazine producer. He is also a fan of Liza's mom's novels.

Jessica walks by a store which sold little motorcycle models. She wanted to buy the newest one out (probably for He) but the store was out. The last one was just purchased by William (He's brother) and he was paying for it. Jessica asked to buy it from him but William really liked it and had waited 2 months for it. Therefore, the salesperson told her that he could order one for her but it wouldn't arrive until Christmas time. She had to pay $600 while William was offered a 20% discount because he was a regular customer. Therefore, Jessica asked William to order it for her so that she could get the discount and she offered to treat him out to lunch in exchange.

Jessica waited for He after work on top of his motorcycle…he waved her off his motorcycle saying that his motorcycle didn't like women on it :) However, Jessica came prepared with her own helmet this time (the last time He said he didn't have a helmet for her) and said he had no excuse not to give her a ride. He picked up a plastic bag and told her to puke on the bag and not him. They ended up going to the peak and talked for a bit. Jessica found out that He liked to race motorcycles and asked him to take her along next time.

Wong He brought Jessica along to the next race. His dad tagged along also so that he could see his ex-wife. Jessica went to buy drinks for them and saw William in line. They started talking and Jessica told him that she was there with a friend…He. He's mom brought the lady again…this time, she tried to cover He with him umbrella while he was fixing his bike :) Jessica came back and He winked at her and asked her why it took so long for her to get water…on cue, Jessica and He's dad played along and pretended that Jessica was He's girlfriend. He held her hand too :)

That night, He and his dad were eating watermelon…and He's dad was really happy that they finally got rid of that woman…He's dad said that He and Jessica were very compatible and did a good job pretending to be boyfriend-girlfriend. He said that he wasn't pretending…he said that today perhaps, it's not real, but tomorrow the relationship might be real…

Wong He went to throw out the trash and ran into Jessica. They went out for a midnight snack…they talked happily until Jessica said that she had to go and get her medical report the next day. He offered to take her. At the hospital, Jessica found out that she hadn't been infected with AIDS and was very happy…sooo happy that she ran out of the doctor's office and hugged and kissed He…the situation got a bit awkward after that. They walked downstairs and He got on his bike…Jessica stood there watching him so He went over to her and put the helmet on for her. This is where they officially started dating :)

He dropped Jessica off at home and went to work. Jessica's parents were thrilled to hear that she was okay. At the office, Jessica's teammates were also happy for her.

Liza was driving back home when she saw a van selling gasoline illegally. She followed the van and ended up saving a kid because the van had leaked some gasoline and someone accidentally threw a cigarette butt into the gas and caused an explosion. The incident was all over the newspapers the next day and when Jessica returned to work, they team was assigned a new case involving the illegal sale of gasoline.

The team set up a temporary office across from a warehouse they believed to be selling gasoline illegally. After watching the warehouse for 3 days, He decided that the team should arrest them the next morning. During the operation, the suspects saw Jessica and they tried to drive away. Jessica jumped in front of the truck, thinking that they would stop but the truck didn't stop and Jade saved Jessica. The rest of the team rushed over. Back at the office, Liza lectured Jessica about her rash actions and temporarily transferred her to answering the hotline for the team. Jessica was very upset with herself. He tried to soothe her but she was too angry at herself to listen. She went for a swim to calm herself. Later that day, she ran into William who, seeing that she was in a bad mood, asked her to see a comedy with him (he seems to be interested in Jessica). Later that night, Wong He was waiting for Jessica to return home…he left the door of his apartment open…hoping to see her return home but his dad shut the door. He heard a door slam and called Jessica. He asked her if she was okay and she said that she felt much better after the swim and seeing a funny movie.

Danny went to bring one of Liza's parent's pictures back to them….they invited him to stay for dinner. Her parents seem to have taken a liking to him.

Danny went to play soccer with Liza's dad. During dinner, they got on the topic of websites and Danny urged Liza's parents to get personal websites. He was showing them his work website when he noticed that someone had tampered with their company web site. He called an emergency meeting and excused himself from dinner.

They try to find out more information about the causalties.

Liza finds out that none of the Asian doctors were injured and tells Danny and Jade the news.

Liza urges the team to continue investigation of the illegal sale of gasoline. Fiona and another team member were sent a suspicious area and Fiona almost blows her cover. Liza gives Fiona a lecture in her office and Fiona apologizes for her actions. Later, in the common room, Fiona asks Liza if she can continue working on the case and Liza relents...because of this incident, Jessica feels that Liza is treating her unfairly. Jessica made a mistake and she was taken off the case but when Fiona made a mistake, Liza let her stay on the case...Jessica spoke of this to Jade in the coffee room and Liza overheard this. She told Ah He to go into her office and asked about Jessica and told him that she welcomed comments from her staff.

That night, Jessica and Ah He were walking along the pier and Jessica asked him about being called into the office. Ah He told her, in essence, that she had to recognize her mistakes before he let her do anymore investigative work.

The team was practicing for an upcoming basketball competition with the Marine Customs team. Liza noticed that her staff had no sense of teamwork...especially Ah He and Mak. Therefore, she sent them off on a mission to buy uniforms for the team basketball competition in hopes that they would get to know each other better. While they were buying the uniforms, they ran into Mak's brother being beaten up by a crook. Mak got very angry and went and beat the thug up (Mak's brother isn't very bright so he's very protective of his brother)...Ah He helped Mak cover up by telling the cops that Mak was using appropriate means to disarm the crook. After this incident, Ah He and Mak started to build on their friendship.

The team set out to capture the suspects in the gasoline case. Ah He and Mak were chasing 2 suspects with guns. Ah He ended up face to face with a suspect and they were pointing their guns at each other. At this point, Ah He started to have flashbacks of the last time he shot someone and fear overcame him...he couldn't shoot...but the suspect shot at Ah He...Mak jumped out and saved Ah He and killed the suspect....

Reporters and the others arrived at the scene...Ah He was in a corner still scared about the incident and he handed over his gun to Liza...back at the station, he was typing up his resignation letter as Jessica tried to talk him out of it. He went into Liza's room because he wanted to quit but Liza told him that he should seriously think about the matter...when he came out of the office, the entire team was very concerned. Jessica ripped up his resignation letter...Ah He took of his ID and left the room...Jessica chased after him...he got on his motorcycle and Jessica tried to follow but he threw her helmet on the ground and drove off...Jessica picked up her scratched-up helmet and felt very hurt.

Ah He went to the car wash and sat inside as the water and soap sprayed everywhere...Jessica was waiting for him at his apartment...he came home all wet and Jessica blowdried his hair for him...he didn't say a single thing...

Jessica was devastated and didn't know what to do...finally, she went and asked Liza to talk to him...Liza told Ah He a story of her own...how many years ago, she had an opportunity for a promotion and concentrated on that. Her husband was very supportive and because he wanted to allow her to sleep for a little longer on the day of her interview for a promotion, he took the taxi to work instead of having Liza drive him...the taxi encountered a mudslide and he died...At that point, Liza told Ah He that she too had wanted to quit her job but in the end, decided not to...Ah He told her that her situation was different...she didn't have a father that wanted him to be the best so that he could beat his brother...she didn't have to carry the burden of killing someone like he did...

After more thought, Ah He finally got over his insecurity and decided to start over....Jessica went to look for him and she hit him for making her so worried. He showed her her helmet...it had a sticker that said "I'm sorry" to cover up the scratches...Jessica was happy again :)

Liza decided to host a paintball game for the entire team to encourage Ah He to shoot again...Danny came along too since he recommended the idea. This also gave the team a chance to display their newly found team spirit. However, during the competition, Liza noticed that during one point, Jessica could've saved Fiona but she didn't...At the end of the game, Ah He was able to shoot again :)

Liza had a Christmas party for the team at her parents' home. The team made Jessica kiss Ah He :) Later, they all went out.

Back at the station the next day, Liza announced that Jessica was going to switched to the Marine Customs Dept. Jessica was so mad that she hit Ah He...

Ah He talked to Liza and she told him that she wanted Jessica to learn the value of teamwork...At this point, she felt that Jessica was acting too immaturely and this immaturity could hurt the team. Jessica showed up for her new duty which involved living on a boat for part of the week. In this new post, she was part of a team that investigated ships out at sea. Jessica tried to act all macho and wouldn't take pills for seasickness...after a few hours, she got so sick that she rushed to the men's room to throw up and one of her new teammates was inside taking a shower :) hehehehe

Jessica vowed that she would get better with each working day!

Episodes 7-8

Jessica screams after noticing that she has 5 more freckles...she goes with Ah He to the park and complains about her skin worsening because she's out in the sun all day now for her job. Ah He tries to appease her by taking her to his mom's spa. Ah He's mom is delighted to see Jessica and have an opportunity to find out more about her future daughter-in-law. She offers Jessica a 40% on a 50 time facial package so that she can see Jeccia twice a week and get to know her better :) At home, she tells William that Ah He brought his girlfriend to her spa for a facial...However, William still believes that Ah He and Jessica are not dating.

William went to wait for Jessica at the store that sold motorcycle models...apparently, the store owner tipped William about when Jessica would be there to pick up the model that she had previously ordered. William offered to give Jess some help if she ran into any trouble building the model.

Jessica's team is investigating a ship and they find illegal firecrackers aboard the ship. One of the suspects jumped into the water and Jessica jumped in to chase after him. Jessica's supervisor told another teammate to get a boat to help Jessica out. Back aboard their own ship, Jessica's supervisor tells her that she did a good job but if she had taken a second more to think about the situation, she could have responded in a more appropriate way ie. taking a speedboat out to chase the suspect instead of jumping in after him and getting herself all wet. It was Jessica's turn to cook dinner, but she ended up dropping the food after the ship lurched forward...the entire team was forced to eat canned food :) They didn't blame her and instead found humor in the entire situation...

Liza bought a new plant for her parents. Her parents had invited Danny over for dinner, furthering their plan to help the two become a couple. Danny urged Liza's mom to allow his company to republish her books and she finally agreed. However, she wanted Liza to write the title of the book in Chinese calligraphy and since Liza didn't know how to do that, Danny was given the task of teaching her.

Ah He and Jessica went out to lunch but he was late and they bickered a little but got over it very soon...however, Ah He received a call and had to report to work so Jessica went home to work on the motorcycle model that she planned on giving Ah He. Unfortunately, Jessica wasn't very good at putting the pieces together but luckily, William came to the rescue and together, the two finished constucting it. Ah He called and asked Jessica out to dinner and she brought William along and he finally realized that his brother and Jessica were really dating. Ah He noticed someone following him and William went to check it out and discovered that it was "Monica" (the girl that Ah He's mom was trying to hook him up with earlier). William told her that sometimes things just don't work out and that it was a matter of fate and timing...(probably referring to the fact that he himself met Jessica after his brother did). "Monica" understood and decided to give up stalking Ah He.

Danny was giving Liza lessons in Chinese calligraphy. Liza's team arrived to the scene of a warehouse copying pirated CDs...the warehouse happened to belong to Danny's company and he was called in for questioning. Danny decided to avoid seeing Liza and her family until the situation cleared up. It turns out that it was his boss' younger brother "Luk Gum Ho" that was causing problems for him again. The misunderstanding soon cleared up and Danny went to Liza's home for dinner.

Ah He was getting on his motorcycle when he realized that his hand was glued to the handle...someone came out with a bat to hit him...luckily, Ah He took off his glove in time and grabbed the person...it turned out to be Shirley...she is the daughter of the man that Ah He had killed and she wanted to avenge her father's death. She escaped from Ah He's clutches. Shirley lives at home with her sickly mom. She apprently has some slight psychological problems and seems to be obsessed with revenge.

The next day, Ah He's dad is accused of accosting a lady in the elevator...it was Shirley's doing. Concerned, Jessica sneaks to Ah He's house, pretending that she has to go and see Jade because she just broke up with her boyfriend (her family doesn't know that she's dating him...Jess's mom hates Ah He and his father). On her way out of his house, she runs into her mom and brother and her mom was like "what are you doing in their house?" Jessica is forced to lie and say that Ah He was the guy who duped Jade and that she was there to yell at him...It was very funny, Jess was like "I hope you never find a girlfriend"...and Ah He is smiling....it's actually quite ironic since she is Ah He's girlfriend.

Jessica is getting better with her responsibilites at work and gets along great with her teammates...this time when it wwas her turn to cook dinner, her teammates loved her cooking and were fighting over the food. However, when one of her teammates mentioned playfully that she was trying to kiss up to the supervisor by cooking his favorite dish, Jess immediately dumped that dish into the trash...she was very serious about this kind of talk and didn't want to be like Fiona.

When the basketball game took place between Jessica and Liza's team, Jessica was sidelined. (I suppose her supervisor was still thinking that she was acting a bit immaturely). However, when one of Jessica's teammates saw Fiona making fun of Jessica not playing, he feigned a stomacheache so that she could play...Jess' team ended up winning by 2 points and she was quite cocky towards Liza. Jessica was thrilled that her team won, so she invited them to dinner at her parent's restaurant.

At home, Jade is talking to Melissa via the computer and Melissa tells Jade that she doesn't plan on returning to HK...Jade feels guilty about this and wanted to tell Danny this but doesn't have the heart to so so since he's waited 8 years for Melissa to return.

Danny's boss' younger brother "Luk Gum Ho" prints news in his newspaper that Danny has cancer...his company's stock immediately goes down and Danny is nowhere to be found. A few days later, Danny comes back to HK with several doctor's prognosis that he doesn't have cancer and that he plans on suing "Luk Gum Ho's" newspaper. Danny went to Liza's house to visit her parents...Liza doesn't hide the fact that she feels that what he did was wrong--Danny had deliberately let "Luk Gum Ho" receive news that he had cancer, only to come back and reveal that he really didn't.

Jessica's teammate develops a rash from using the products that Jessica ordered from Ah He's mom. She goes to the spa with Ah He and they find a group of customers there demanding their money back...they find out that Shirley had sold them the imitation creams/lotions. Ah He and William go to Shirley's house and threaten to arrest her but her mom begs them not to.

Well, I'm about 4 episodes behind in the summaries from the point I've actually watched up to...I'll try to write more summaries this week... =)
