One of the classics of the mid 80s, who can ever forget the dramatic scene at the end of this series when Dodo lays in bed with tears streaming down her face while Alex sits by her side, begging her to awaken from her coma? The Feud of the Two Brothers is an excellent series with a great cast and an unforgettable plot.

Alex Man plays the adopted son of Lee Heurng Kam. He has 2 younger borthers and a younger sister played by Kathy Chow. Carina plays his next-door-neighbor, who just came from China to her uncle's house. These 2 become quick friends and soon begin to date.

Alex meets Dodo when his brother is accused of murder. Dodo is the head of the jury in charge of the case. She helps prove his brother's innocence.

Alex's enemy in the series is Lawrence, who is actually his real younger brother. Lawrence is a greedy and selfish individual who only sees power and money. He makes Kathy pregnant and as revenge on Alex, he dumps her soon after. She later jumps off a building and becomes paralyzed. To hide his identity from his rich father, Lawrence even kills his true father.

Because of Lawrence's wrath, Alex even loses his job as a cop. Carina's career, on the other hand, rises quickly and she soon becomes one of the most popular actresses in Hong Kong. Because Alex feels that he's not good enough for her and not wanting to interfere with her career, Alex breaks up with her.

Dodo provides much support for him. They later date and get married. Alex works for Dodo's dad, who owns a large corporation, and he becomes very successful. On the other hand, everything gets worse for Lawrence. His rich father finds out that he's not the true son and cuts him off. Therefore, he decides to kidnap Dodo and he ends up knocking her head with a brick. Thus, she falls into a coma. Later, he kidnaps her again when she's in the hospital and asks Alex for money. Alex and Lawrence gets into a fight and Lawrence falls off the building.

Dodo is still in a coma at the end of the series, her tears must have their significance. I interpreted her tears to mean that she heard what Alex said to her and she was waking up.
