Margie grows up in a rich family where her parents have been dead for many years. She returns to Hong Kong after college and her grandfather is very happy to see her. Gallen, her fiancé and also a lawyer, is also thrilled that she has finally returned. However, her uncle, who wants the family money, tries to get rid of her because her grandfather loves her the most. Therefore, on the day Margie went to try on her wedding gowns, she was kidnapped and held for ransom. However, Margie escapes and the kidnappers chased after her. During the chaos, she gets mixed in with a group of people illegally entering Hong Kong and she also she falls and hits her head and when she awakens she has amnesia.

In her state of amnesia, Margie meets a group of stage singers who sing in lounges and restaurants and becomes friends with one of the singers, Anita Lee Yuen Wah. She is also mistakenly given a new identity. Meanwhile, Gallen is frantically finding her and is devastated that she is missing. Her grandfather dies because he couldn't withstand the incident. Later, Gallen stumbles upon Margie but she doesn't recognize him. However, he's convinced that the girl is Margie and persistently pursues her.

While Margie is living with Anita and the other singers, she gets to know Anita's boyfriend Mark Cheng. They later fall in love with each other but hide their feelings because Mark has to marry Anita because of her pregnancy. When Anita finds out that her husband likes Margie, it causes many problems and later she commits suicide and dies.

Through some fingerprint tests, Margie's identity is confirmed and she moves back in with the family. The uncle who kidnapped her dies and Margie is a prime suspect. Mark takes the blame for the murder but it was Gallen who committed the crime. Gallen is very bitter that Margie no longer loves him (even after she regains her memory). The police later find out that Gallen committed the crime for his aunt who is Margie's uncle's second wife. After an incident, he falls into a coma and does not awaken for a few years. Margie is not sure whether she should leave with Mark or stay behind because she feels bad for Gallen. After a few years, Gallen awakens and Mark returns. The three remain good friends.
