MBF episode 1

Louis is a policeman. Both Louis and Rocky, a police dog, are on the same investigative assignment. Louis and Rocky don't get along. Rocky seems to understand human nature, and he tries to teach Louis a lesson.

Louis lives with his uncle Chong. Chong is a habitual gambler, and he always uses household appliances to pay for his gambling debt. Louis is really frustrated with Chong's behavior.

Jessica is a nurse at a Vet's Clinic. She assists Yung who is a vet. Jessica really loves animals.

Jessica's best friend is Sammi. When Sammi's purse was snatched by a mugger, Louis being the courageous policeman who he is, helps her get her purse back. Louis is quite captivated by Sammi.

Wah is Sammi's boyfriend. Wah works as a movie script writer and he leads a very busy social life. Sammi gets along well with her family.

Louis feels he doesn't get along well with people so he applies to be in "Police dog" unit. Louis and Chong win the lottery but their lottery ticket was taken away by Jessica's pet, Dong Dong...

MBF episode 2:

Jessica thinks Louis and Chong are picking on Dong Dong. Actually, they are trying to get Dong Dong to give them their lotto ticket back. The next morning, Dong Dong mysteriously disappears... Jessica goes to report her "missing pet" at the police station and she suspects Louis has something to do with Dong Dong's disappearance. Poor Jessica goes all over town to post flyers of her missing pet, Dong Dong...

Louis has been successfully transferred to the "Police dog" unit. He is surprised to find that his partner is Rocky. Rocky really doesn't have a very nice impression of Louis and he doesn't cooperate with Louis. Rocky's attitude frustrates Louis...

Sammi left her purse at her parents' place. Her father finds Sammi's address from her wallet in her purse. He goes to Sammi's place and discovers Sammi has been lying to her family...

Louis has to pass an exam at the "Police dog" unit. Rocky wants Louis to help him capture his former owner's murderer so he decides to help Louis pass the exam...

While Louis and Rocky are walking their beat, they run into Dou Dou, a female dog. Rocky is captured by Dou Dou's beauty. It was love at first sight for Rocky... Louis finds out that Dou Dou belongs to his former girlfriend...

Episode 3

Sammi and Wah move into the unit below Louis's apartment. Sammi becomes Louis' neighbor...

Rocky shows off his bravery and scares away a bunch of wise guys (street gangs. Unfortunately, Louis gets into trouble because the wise guys reported Rocky's scary behavior to the police...

Louis thinks that Dou Dou has been abandoned by her owner, Louis's former girlfriend. Louis asks Jessica to adopt Dou Dou...

Sammi's enemy, Ivy, is having an affair with Sammi's boyfriend Wah. Sammi doesn't know about this affair. Chong sees that Sammi is buying a "pregnancy testing kit" at the drug store. Louis discovers Wah and Ivy's secret affair but he decides to keep it a secret. Louis doesn't want Sammi to get hurt. Sammi and Wah decide to get marry when she learns she is pregnant...

While Louis and Rocky are on their beat, Rocky sees the man who murdered his owner. Rocky goes crazy and chases after the man. Louis is puzzled by Rocky's actions...

In the shopping mall, Sammi almost runs into Wah and Ivy together. Louis needs to think of something quick to distract Sammi's attention...

MBF episode 4

A woman named May is interested in Yung. Jessica tries to talk to May about May's pursuit of Yung, but May misunderstands Jessica's intention. May thinks Jessica is jealous because she also likes Yung.

Sammi and her boyfriend Wah has purchased an apartment in the same building where Louis and his uncle Chong lives. Sammi and Wah become Louis's neighbors.

Yung is finally able to tell May off. Jessica acts so serious when she tells Yung that he shouldn't mix business with pleasure. Yung thinks Jessica is cute when she is so serious. Yung likes to joke around with Jessica.

Sammi learns that Wah has been cheating on her...

Episode 5

Louis and Rocky decide to teach Wah a lesson. Sammi plans to sell the apartment after she and Wah have broken up. Unfortunately, the potential buyer finds out that Sammi's apartment was the site of a grizzly murder. Sammi can't find a buyer for her apartment. Louis volunteers to rent from Sammi to help her with her expense. Louis moves in with Sammi.

Jessica thinks that Louis is trying to harm Dou Dou...

Rocky gets Louis in trouble again. San San orders that Louis and Rocky be "re-trained." Louis feels that San San is too tough on him...

A couple has moved into the apartment below Sammi and Louis's apartment. The couple is Wah and his new girlfriend! Sammi pretends to be cool about that but she eventually breaks down and cries with Louis comforting her... Louis tells Sammi he has feelings for her... They start dating.

MBF episode 6

San San's father tries to set up Louis and San San. Louis is clueless about San San's dad playing matchmaker...

Louis goes to a bar to look for Sammi. Sammi is working part-time as an accountant at the bar to help support her apartment. Louis gets into trouble when he was asked to show his ID at the bar. San San thinks that Louis was trying to solicit prostitutes at the bar...

Jessica thinks that all Yung cares about is making a profit at the clinic. When Yung decides to put an injured animal to sleep (euthanasia), Jessica objects. She wants Yung to do whatever he can to keep the animal alive. However, after seeing the animal in so much pain, Jessica understands why Yung wanted to put the animal to sleep...

Sammi asks Louis and Wah to help her cover up when Sammi's parents come to visit. (Sammi probably didn't tell her parents about her break-up with Wah or her living with Louis...)

MBF episode 7

Rocky and Dou Dou decide to elope... Jessica has been really strict with Dou Dou. She doesn't like Dou Dou to be around Rocky since Rocky belongs to Louis. Jessica has mistaken Louis to be a bad person after her first pet Dong Dong disappeared...

Ivy leaves Wah... Wah finally realizes that Sammi was the one who truly loved him.

Nam is a policeman and is friends with Louis. Nam has a crush on San San. Nam sends San San some roses. San San thinks Louis is her secret admirer.

Rocky has been injured badly during some police work. Yung tells Louis that Rocky can't be a police dog anymore. Both Rocky and Louis feel really sad about that...

Louis buys a music box for Sammi. Later, he sees that Wah has also bought a music box for Sammi. Louis worries that Sammi will go back to Wah. But Sammi chooses Louis instead...

MBF episode 8

Louis has a chance for promotion but he doesn't seem to take that too seriously. Meanwhile, Sammi works really hard for her career advancement. Sammi and Louis begin to drift apart...

Louis is able to convince San San to give him another chance for promotion. The Board of Police will interview Louis in English. Louis asks Jessica to tutor him in English. On the day of the interview, Louis misses the interview because he was helping Sammi search for some documents. San San feels bad for Louis...

Ken wants to send Sammi oversea to work on some project. Sammi and Louis have made plans to visit Japan. Sammi doesn't know what to do. She really wants the chance to work on the project oversea. Louis realizes that Sammi's work means more to her than Louis. Louis breaks up with Sammi so she can pursue her ambitions...

Sammi packs and moves out of the apartment. Louis acts like he feels okay about the break-up. In reality, he is really upset...

While Louis and his new police dog Bobby are on their beat, there is an arm robbery taking place. Louis bravely fights the robbers and takes the hand grenade from the robbers. Louis is holding the grenade and it is about to explode... (Now we all know Louis will be fine because he is the lead character in this series :)

MBF episode 9

Everyone comment on how brave Louis was in catching the arm robbers. They are trying to cheer Louis up after his break-up with Sammi. Louis feels so sad when he looks at the music box Sammi left behind...

Jessica encourages Louis to talk to Sammi. But Louis and Sammi always seem to miss each other because of wrong timing...

Louis finally has a chance to talk to Sammi. Louis realizes that his feelings for Sammi has faded... Sammi gives Louis a plate for present.

Jessica also bought a plate for Louis but she sees that Louis already has a plate given to him by Sammi. Jessica realizes that she has fallen in love with Louis but she doesn't know when or how to tell Louis about her feelings...

MBF episode 10

San San also has a crush on Louis. Louis is again clueless as to San San's feelings fo him. Louis treats San San like "a brother..." Louis even tries to help Ah Nam pursue San San.

Ken's ex-girlfriend keeps bothering Sammi. She thinks that Sammi is interested in Ken. Ken defends Sammi and sets things straight with his ex-girlfriend...

A guy named Hoo is chasing Jessica. Yung knows that Jessica only has eyes for Louis. Yung teases Jessica about the annoying Hoo who is chasing Jessica...

San San writes a love letter to Louis. Nam somehow finds the letter and thinks that San San is in love with him. He bravely declares his love for San San but San San is so confused that she punches Nam...

MBF episode 11

That annoying Hoo keeps chasing Jessica, always calling her and sending her gifts... Jessica can't take it anymore so she tells Hoo on the phone that she is in love with a police man... Surprisingly, it was Louis on the other line, not Hoo. Louis realizes that Jessica has feelings for him.

Louis asks Jessica about her conversation declaring her feelings, Jessica shrugs if off by saying she was only joking or using Louis as an excuse...

Rocky and Dou Dou want Louis to know the truth about Jessica's feelings... They lead Louis to the plate which Jessica has purchased for him. Louis stares at the plate for a long time...

Jessica decides to help save the home for lost pets. She gives up her savings and works very hard to collect money for the pet shelter. She works hard for donations. People are all amazed by her dedication. Louis decides to help Jessica with her efforts to save the pet shelter...

There is a hurricane. Louis has to work the whole day. Louis seems to really worry about his boat drifting off into the ocean. That boat was Louis's gift for Sammi when they first started dating. Jessica knows that Louis's boat would be blown away if she doesn't go save it. Louis is stuck at the police station tending his shift. Jessica braces the storm and goes to the beach. She knows how much the boat means to Louis. In the middle of the storm, Jessica pushes the boat back to shore...

MBF episode 12

Jessica gets really sick and has a high fever after saving Louis's boat during the storm. Louis rushes to the hospital to see Jessica. Louis realizes he has feelings for Jessica... He stays by her bedside the whole night.

Ken declares his love for Sammi. Sammi tells Ken that she needs to focus on her career right now.

Louis brings Jessica flowers but she wouldn't accept the flowers. Jessica feels guilty because Louis was her best friend's boyfriend. Plus, she probably thinks that Louis still has deep feelings for Sammi. Jessica's behavior really confuses Louis...

Jessica encourages Sammi to get back together with Louis. But Sammi tells her that she only likes Louis as a friend. Sammi encourages Jessica to go after her dream guy... Sammi doesn't know that the dream guy happens to be Louis.

Jessica tries to borrow money to help save the animal shelter. She couldn't borrow any money. Jessica has put her entire life savings into saving the shelter and she doesn't have any money for rent...

When the landlord comes after Jessica for the rent money, Louis all of a sudden shows up with a stack of money to help Jessica pay her rent. Jessica subsequently discovers that Louis has sold his boat to get the money. Louis's action is symbolic because by selling the boat, he is letting go of his relationship with Sammi once and for all (since the boat was his gift for Sammi). Jessica is deeply touched by Louis. They hug each other in a long embrace...

MBF episode 13

Louis and Jessica are in love. They are so happy that they don't care when friends tease them.. Jessica and Louis are really sweet and intimate with each other...

San San realizes that she has no chance with Louis now that Louis is in love with Jessica. The guys in the police unit tease and poke fun of San San making her cry. Louis tells his buddies to stop bothering San San. He defends San San, and they become "brothers."

Sammi is doing very well at her company. Jessica feels that she and Sammi has slowly drifted apart ever since Sammi became a business woman.

Sammi hires Rocky and Dou Dou for a commercial. Louis is somehow tricked into doing a intimate scene with Sammi. Jessica feels jealous when she sees their romantic scene. However, Louis is in love with Jessica. Louis tells Ken that he is dating Jessica, and Ken tells Louis that he is interested in Sammi... Louis is happy that Sammi has found someone...

Ken drives Sammi home. Ken proposes to Sammi in the car...

Episode 14:

Louis tells Sammi he is dating Jessica, and Sammi tells Louis she is seeing Ken...

Louis's sister lost her job and later she is able to find employment at the Vet Clinic where Jessica works. Louis's sister develops a crush on Yung, the Vet...

Everyone are invited to a picnic. Louis and Sammi seem very compatible during the picnic. San San risks her life to save Louis. Louis is biten by a poisonous snake, and San San tries to suck the poisoned blood from Louis. Jessica feels somewhat uncomfortable seeing her boyfriend Louis receiving all these attention from other women...

Sammi accepts Ken's marriage proposal even though she feels uneasy about her decision.

Episode 15:

Ah Nam somehow gets in trouble with San San. Ah Nam asks Louis to help him patch things up with San San... Jessica misunderstands Louis's intention with San San. Louis just wants to help Ah Nam wins San San over. Jessica and Louis's relationship is having problems. Sammi advices Louis to be more considerate of Jessica's feelings. Louis and Jessica finally make up...

Jessica, Louis, Sammi and Ken all have some wedding pictures taken. (I think this is for some advertisement...) When Sammi looks at the pic of her and Louis, she realizes she still has feelings for Louis...

San San and Ah Nam meet each other using different names via the Internet. They seem to "click" on the Internet so they arrange for a meeting. But when Ah Nam realizes it is San San whom he has met on the Internet, he decides to skip the meeting...

Episode 16:

Sammi still has feelings for Louis so she breaks off her engagement with Ken. Louis and Jessica look at the wedding pics of Louis and Jessica. Ken asks Jessica to find out why Sammi has broken off their engagement. Louis tries to cheer Sammi up so he buys her ice cream... All of a sudden, a wedding pic of Sammi and Louis falls from Sammi's purse...

Sammi returns to work for Ken. Ken is very happy that his co-worker is back. Jessica thinks Sammi and Ken are back together. She gives Sammi and Ken a picture frame for wedding present. Sammi puts the wedding pic of her and Louis in the frame...

MBF episode 1-4

Louis is a policeman, who doesn't take his job seriously. The series opens when Louis and his team members are searching for an illegal immigrant that has escaped in a wooded area. Louis and a new cop are assigned an area to search for the immigrant. However, instead of searching for the immigrant, he tells his new partner to sit and relax while the rest of the team does the searching. Just then his new partner sees the immigrant run by and starts chasing after him. Louis has no choice but to do the same. During the course of the chase, Louis comes face to face with the immigrant and they struggle. The immigrant takes his gun and points it at him. (This part is pretty funny). Instead of fearing for his life, Louis worries about losing his gun and having to write a report to his superintendent explaining the situation. At that minute, Rocky, a police dog, comes to Louis's rescue biting the immigrant. The immigrant is caught. At the police station, Louis is scolded by his superintendent for his actions.

Louis lives with his uncle, who happens to be a habitual gambler. He always uses household appliances to pay for his gambling debt. Once Louis comes home to find his new DVD player missing. Louis is really frustrated with his uncle's behavior and complains about it, but his uncle would always reply back saying "I raised you after your parent's death". Jessica and Louis live in the same apartment complex. Louis lives on the 3rd floor, while Jessica lives on the 1st floor. Jessica lives with her grandmother and her dog, Tung Tung. Jessica is a nurse/receptionist at a Vet's Clinic. She also has a part-time night job as a bartender. Jessica really loves animals. She frequently feeds the homeless kitties.

Meanwhile, Louis urges Sammi to reveal the truth to her dad. The truth finally spills out and Sammi's dad isn't angry. In fact, her dad tells her to consider Louis as a boyfriend.

While they are patrolling the streets, Louis and Rocky run into the murderer again. Rocky starts chasing after him again and Louis is unable to hold on. Rocky bites the murderer and wrestles him to the ground. The murderer was about to shoot Rocky, but Louis came just in time and pulled Rocky away so the murderer hid the gun. Louis ties Rocky to a lamppost and goes running after the guy to talk to him but the guy thought Louis was chasing after him and took out his gun to shoot Louis. Just then, Rocky has loosened his leash and he knocks Louis to the ground to save him. Unfortunately, Rocky gets shot while saving Louis =( After this situation, Louis feels really bad that he's never treated Rocky well. He begins to change his attitude towards dogs as he now believes that a dog can be a man's best friend. Lee San San, once again, lectures him and contemplates sending him back to Police Training School for physical training.

Louis goes to a nightclub to look for Sammi. Sammi is working part-time as an accountant at the nightclub to help support her apartment. He thought Sammi was a prostitute and not an accountant. Louis gets into trouble when he was asked to show his ID at the bar. San San thinks that Louis was trying to solicit prostitutes at the nightclub. Sammi went to find Louis on the beach that night and slapped him again, this time for having a dirty mind =) Sammi forgives him though.

Jessica adopts Dou Dou. Dou Dou wants to visit Rocky so she decides to jump into Louis car. Louis sees her and decides to take her along, but he's worried about Jessica finding out. On the way there, Louis and Dou Dou went to buy some toys and dog food for Rocky. Dou Dou is sooooo cute. She goes and grabs her own gifts for Rocky and dumps them at Louis' feet =)=) (awwwww…isn't that cute?) Jessica comes into the store just then, and sees Louis with her dog. She jumps to conclusions again and threatens Louis.

San San's father tries to set up Louis and San San. Louis shrugs it off. His friend, however, is in love with San San.

Louis goes to pick Rocky up at Jessica's clinic. Jessica sees Louis talking to Rocky and starts to change her attitude towards him a little.

Poon leaves Sammi's ex-boyfriend... He finally realizes that Sammi was the one who truly loved him and decides to pursue her once again. Louis fixes Sammi's music box. Later, he sees that her ex-boyfriend has bought the same music box for Sammi. Therefore, he doesn't give her the box…

Episode 5-6

Sammi and her ex-boyfriend have a talk at his apartment. Apparently, her ex-boyfriend only wanted to borrow $100,000 from her. He did not want to get back together with Sammi. Before she leaves his apartment, he gives her the music box. Meanwhile, at Louis's place, he is all very depressed thinking that Sammi would go back to his ex-boyfriend. He does not give her the music box he fixed. Sammi pitches the music box (given to her by his ex-boyfriend) in the trash.

Louis, wanting to find out more about Sammi and her ex-boyfriend's relationship, goes to the bar and questions Jessica about it. Instead of getting a response, he gets attacked by Jessica saying that he is too nosey.

Lam Hiu Fung is a policeman and is friends with Louis (live in the same apartment). (Louis does not have the courage to tell Sammi that he likes her)Unable to see the pain that Louis is going through, he approaches Sammi and tells her that Louis likes her. Sammi is unable to find Louis and asks Lam Hiu Fung where he is. At the beach, Sammi uses a round about way to confront Louis about him liking her. Louis is afraid of telling Sammi that he liked her, but in the end he did. They start going out, but Jessica doesn't know about it.

Jessica thinks that all Joe Ma (he plays veterinarian and is Jessica's boss) cares about is making a profit at the clinic. When Joe Ma decides to put an injured animal to sleep (euthanasia), Jessica objects. She wants Joe to do whatever he can to keep the animal alive. Jessica's misunderstandings of Joe being a playboy (from the earlier episodes) have been cleared up. She now thinks of him as a kind and caring person who enjoys doing charity work at the animal shelter. Her attitude towards him has now changed to the better. She begins to play matchmaker, introducing Joe to Sammi. These 2 parts are pretty hilarious. First, Sammi brings Louis to the lunch meeting with Jessica, not knowing that Joe was also invited. When Jessica sees Louis she gives him the evil eye. (We can see that Jessica and Louis are on each other's nerves) After lunch, Jessica pretends to have a major headache asking Louis to drive her home, while Joe takes Sammi to the movies. However, Sammi offers to take Jessica home and Joe offers to take Jessica to a nearby hotel to rest. Hearing this, Jessica then tells them that she no longer has a headache. The 4 of them walk by a fountain. Apparently, there is a story behind this fountain (if 2 people of the opposite sex throw a coin on top of each other in the fountain, then they are destined to be together). So all of them decide to test the myth. Sammi and Joe first throw their coins on opposite sides. Then Louis tries to throw his coin on Sammi's. However, the mischievous Jessica jumps up and down in front of him, making his coin fall into the gutter. So he pulls out another coin and tries again, only Jessica takes out a whole bunch of coins and they end up throwing the coins in at the same time, and he misses again. Finally, he takes out his last coin and misses. Laughing, Jessica takes out her last coin and just pitches it in. However, hers lands right on top of Louis' and they're both really grossed out. This part was so funny =)

Lam Hiu Fung has a crush on San San. He sends San San some roses. San San thinks Louis is her secret admirer.

Rocky has been injured badly during some police work. A vet tells Louis that Rocky can't be a police dog anymore. Both Rocky and Louis feel really sad about that. The vet suggests that Louis adopts Rocky. After giving it some thought, Louis invites Lee San San out for dinner to discuss this matter. However, Lee San San misunderstands and thinks that he wanted to ask her out or something, so she goes to the restaurant all dressed up. When Lee San San finds out what Louis wanted, she yells at him saying that they could discuss everything at work. (The audience can tell that she likes Louis) Louis fills out some paper work and adopts Rocky. Rocky and Dou Dou are so happy to see each other.

Sammi and Louis finally reveal to Jessica that they are going out. Jessica doesn't understand what her best friend, Sammi, sees in him.

Cheng Zhi Sing makes an appearance as Sammi's boss.

Joe Ma waits for Jessica at the bar one night and offers to drive her home. In the car, he tells her he likes her. She is in shock.

Episode 7
Without giving it a second thought, Jessica tells Joe right off that she doesn't like him. The next day at the clinic, Joe continues to pursue Jessica despite the fact that she was trying to avoid him. However, at the end Joe stops because Jessica threatens to quit her job.

Joe makes a trip to the bar that night to show a picture of another dog to Jessica. He believes that this dog is a good breed to mate with Dou Dou. (Jessica also thinks so upon seeing the picture) Jessica meets the dog and his owner and decides to have Dou Dou marry (as in mate with) this dog. (This part was pretty sad L ) Apparently, both Rocky and Dou Dou realize this. Therefore, the next day when Jessica and Dou Dou leave in the taxi, Rocky goes chasing after them. After arriving at the other dog's owner's house, Rocky and Dou Dou decide to elope... Jessica has been really strict with Dou Dou. She doesn't like Dou Dou to be around Rocky since Rocky belongs to Louis. Jessica has mistaken Louis to be a bad person after her first dog Tung Tung disappeared... Jessica sees Rocky and Dou Dou running away but is unable to catch up with them. She goes looking for Louis at the beach to question her dog's whereabouts. However, Louis has no clue. Just then, Rocky comes running to Louis barking. Rocky leads Louis, Jessica, and Sammi to Dou Dou who apparently got injured in the leg. Seeing how Rocky was tending to Dou Dou's wound, Jessica has finally seen that Dou Dou means a lot to Rocky. Therefore, she no longer objects to them being together, but instead tells Louis to bring Rocky down to her apartment when he has time.

At the police station, Louis approaches Lee San San and asks for a shift switch, so that he can celebrate Sammi's birthday with her. (Apparently, she didn't know that he had a girlfriend) However, he was denied that request when she heard that he wanted to celebrate the day with her girlfriend. (It's quite obvious that Lee San San is envious of Sammi.) Anyway, Louis still got to take off as his new dog partner, Bobby, had some gastrointestinal infection. At the end, Louis was still unable to celebrate Sammi's birthday with her due to her busy work schedule and the fact that her co-workers held a surprise party for her. She didn't make it home until the next morning. Louis was a quite angry with her as he had waited all day for her.

Louis asks Lee San San for a chance to get promoted. Lee San San says that she would if he beat her. At the end, even though he lost the fight to her, she still recommended him for the promotion.

Episode 8

Louis is able to convince Lee San San to give him a chance for promotion. The Board of Police will interview Louis in English. Louis is forced to register to take an English class because he doesn't understand or know how to speak in English. Jessica encounters Louis asking one of his classmates about the pronunciation of an English word on the bus, but his classmates tells him to think about it. (This part was pretty funny). Louis asks Jessica to tutor him in English. On the day of the interview, Louis arrives late to the interview because he was delivering some documents to Sammi's office. Sammi left the documents home by accident. Lee San San feels that Louis didn't take advantage of this great opportunity. A couple of days later, Louis receives the news that he didn't get promoted. However, Sammi has no clue that Louis was given a chance for promotion. Sammi is working really hard for her career advancement. Sammi and Louis began to drift apart as she spends more time working.

Cheng Zhi Sing promotes Sammi to the position of Account Executive. He gives Sammi the opportunity to work with him in Taiwan on a special project. Sammi and Louis have made plans to visit Japan. Sammi tells Louis that she is unable to accompany him to Japan because of the business trip. Louis realizes that Sammi's work means more to her than Louis. Louis breaks up with Sammi so she can pursue her ambitions...

Sammi returns home, packs and leaves on her business trip to Taiwan without saying anymore to Louis. Louis was still hoping that she would stay. Louis acts like he feels okay about the break-up. In reality, he is really upset and sad about it. He goes drinking and tries to meet girls at the bar where Jessica works. Jessica scolds him about his behavior. She does not know about the break up until Sammi calls her from Taiwan asking her for a favor. Now, Jessica begins to feel sorry for Louis.

While Louis and his new police dog, Bobby, are on their beat, there is an armed robbery taking place. Louis bravely fights the robbers and takes the hand grenade from the robbers. Louis is holding the grenade and it is about to explode... Louis has flashbacks of the happy times that he had with Sammi.

San San also has a crush on Louis. Louis is again clueless as to San San's feelings for him. Louis treats San San like "a brother..." Louis even tries to help Ah Nam pursue San San.

Episode 9

At the police station, Louis is praised for a job well done. His co-workers comment on how brave Louis was in catching the arm robbers. They even tried to cheer Louis up about his break-up with Sammi.

Sammi returns from Taiwan and packs the rest of her things at the apartment. She has decided to move back in with her parents. Lam Hiu Fung, Louis's friend, tries to stall her. However, Louis still missed Sammi. Louis felt so sad when he sees the music box Sammi left behind... Jessica encourages Louis to talk to Sammi. But Louis and Sammi always seem to miss each other because of wrong timing...

Lee San San still likes Louis. After the break up, Louis was feeling really down. Lee San San encourages him to get back up on his feet.

Louis and Lee San San bump into Cheng Zhi Sing and Sammi at a store (a store which sells compass as well as other sporting equipment). They say the usual "hi" and then he and Lee San San leave. Lee San San realizes that Louis still has feelings for Sammi and encourages him to go back and talk with her. Louis decides on having the talk, so he turns back around and walks back in the direction that he came. At the same time, Sammi also feels the need to talk with Louis. They meet at the half way point. (Louis realizes that his feelings for Sammi has faded...) Outside the convention center, Sammi and Louis work things out and decide that it would be better if they become friends. Sammi gives Louis the compass that she has promised him long ago.

Jessica goes looking for Louis at the beach, so that she can give him the compass she purchased. However, she sees a compass already installed on his small boat and finds out that it was a gift from Sammi. Therefore to prevent Louis from seeing that she had also brought a compass for him, she hides hers in the sand. At this point it is quite obvious that Jessica likes Louis.

Episode 10
Cheng Zhi Sing's ex-girlfriend goes to the company to find Sammi. She mistakens Sammi to be Cheng Zhi Sing's new girlfriend (the cause of their break up). Cheng Zhi Sing defends Sammi and sets things straight with his ex-girlfriend...

One of Joe's dog patient's owner is chasing Jessica. Joe knows that Jessica only has eyes for Louis. Joe teases Jessica about the annoying guy who is chasing Jessica...

Lee San San writes a love letter to Louis and slips it in a thick book. (She does not have the courage to tell Louis that she likes him face to face) At the police station the next day, Lee San San hands Louis the book and tells him to read it saying the he will benefit after reading it. At home, Louis is contemplating on whether to read the thick book when his friend comes out. Louis hands him the book telling him that Lee San San wanted him to read it. Lam Hiu Fung, Louis's friend, finds the letter when he reads the book and thinks that Lee San San is in love with him. With the advice of Louis's uncle, he approaches Lee San San in her car. He bravely declares his love for Lee San San and kisses her on the lips. Lee San San is so confused that she punches him.

Episodes 11-14
After San San punches Lam Hiu Fung, he's extremely confused and asks her why she's so hard to understand. He tells her that she was the one who told Louis to give him the love letter. Furious, San San goes to the bar to find Louis. She drags him to the bathroom. (This part's funny because Louis doesn't want to go to the women's bathroom so San San pushes him into the men's room.) She confronts him and tells him that she's in love with him. Louis tells her that they can't be together. San San starts crying and there's people outside waiting to use the bathroom. Jessica and the rest of the employees come in and she yells at Louis because she thinks he did something to San San.

Louis goes home and see Lam Hiu Fung with a black eye. He wants to tell him that San San likes him but doesn't want to hurt Lam Hiu Fung's feelings. Lam Hiu Fung tells San San that he won't give up.

Jessica is being harassed by a scholarly guy at work who keeps on calling her. Joe Ma thinks its kindda funny. Jessica gets frustrated with the calls and yells at the guy on the phone. However, it's Louis that's calling and she accidentally spills that she's in love with her best friend's boyfriend. Louis is in shock and thinks about her words. The next day he goes to the bar and asks Jessica if what she said was true. Jessica shrugs if off by saying she was only joking or using Louis as an excuse.

Dou Dou chews through Jessica's things and finds the compass that she bought for Louis. Jessica yells at Dou Dou for messing with the compass. Dou Dou tells Rocky that Jessica likes Louis and they decide to play matchmaker. Rocky steals Louis' underwear and Louis is forced to go after him. Rocky brings the underwear to Jessica's room and Louis sees the compass. He begins to suspect Jessica's true feelings.

The woman who owned the animal shelter is immigrating to the US so Jessica decides to take over because she doesn't want the animals to be put to sleep. She asks Louis, his uncle and Lam Hiu Fung to help her with fundraising but they are reluctant. Jessica yells at them angrily. Jessica is drawing signs on her porch for the fundraiser and Louis sees her. Jessica's still angry at him. Apparently Jessica's parents didn't want her when she was young. Therefore, she gets upset when she sees people giving up their pets.

Louis does show up at her fundraiser and helps her sell stuffed animals to raise money. Unfortunately, San San also sees them and yells at Louis because this sort of activity was illegal and as a cop, he could get written up for it. The next day at her office, San San asks Louis if he likes Jessica. She says that if he didn't like her, he wouldn't be doing silly things for her. This really makes Louis think.

There is a typhoon in HK. Louis tells his uncle to tie his boat up. However, his uncle forgets. Jessica walks by and sees the boat floating in the water and drags it back to shore and ties it up for him. However, Jessica gets really sick and has a high fever after saving Louis's boat during the storm. Louis rushes Jessica to the hospital. Louis realizes he has feelings for Jessica... He stays by her bedside the whole night.

Cheng Zhi Sing declares his love for Sammi. Sammi rejects Cheng Zhi Sing by telling him that she needs to focus on her career right now.

Louis sends Jessica flowers at work and she's very happy but embarrassed. He goes to the animal shelter to see her but she tries to ignore him. Jessica feels guilty because Louis was her best friend's boyfriend. Jessica's behavior really confuses and frustrates Louis...He goes out for a drink with Joe Ma. Joe encourages Louis to be more patient and Jessica will eventually reveal her true feelings.

Jessica tries to borrow money to help save the animal shelter. She couldn't borrow any money. Louis asks her about this but she denies it. When the landlord comes after Jessica for the rent money, Louis all of a sudden shows up with a stack of money to help Jessica pay her rent. Jessica subsequently discovers that Louis has sold his boat to get the money. Louis's action is symbolic because by selling the boat, he is letting go of his relationship with Sammi once and for all (since the boat was his gift for Sammi). Jessica is deeply touched by Louis. They hug each other in a long embrace...and they start dating.

Louis and Jessica are in love. They are really cute together. Jessica puts on make-up and makes Louis sushi for breakfast one morning and calls him for a ride to work. However, he's still sleeping. So she calls him a second time and yells into the phone, startling Louis. Louis waits for her at his car and she comes strolling down the street slowly. Before she can get into the car though, Louis' uncle, Lam Hiu Fung, Sammi's ex-boyfriend and Jessica's grandma all get into the car and Jessica's forced to take the bus to work (none of them know that they're dating yet.)

San San sees Jessica and Louis in a restaurant and realizes that she has no chance with Louis now that Louis is in love with Jessica. The guys in the police unit tease and poke fun of San San making her cry. Louis tells his buddies to stop bothering San San. He defends San San, and they become "brothers."

Sammi is doing very well at her company. Sammi hires Rocky and Dou Dou for a commercial. Rocky and Dou Dou are upset at each other because Rocky thinks Louis should go after Sammi again because she's so successful. Dou Dou thinks that's wrong. Therefore, when it comes time for them to do the shoot, neither dog will do what they're told to do. Therefore, the director asks Louis and Sammi to do the commercial instead of the original artists. Louis and Sammi are standing behind a screen and appear to be kissing (but they really aren't). Jessica feels jealous when she sees their romantic scene. However, Louis is in love with Jessica. Louis finally tells Sammi that he's dating Jessica when she tries to set Jessica up with the director. Sammi also tells them that she's dating Cheng Zhi Sing. Louis is happy that Sammi has found someone...

Cheng Zhi Sing drives Sammi home. Cheng Zhi Sing proposes to Sammi in the car... She doesn't immediately accept.

Louis' sister comes out in the series. She just got fired from her previous job and goes home begging for money from Louis. Jessica gets her a job at the clinic. Louis' sister is kindda cute. The first time she saw Joe Ma, she asked him if he had a girlfriend. Jessica quickly took her out of his office to avoid more questions.

Everyone goes on a barbecue in the park. Jessica sees San San and Louis being very chummy and she gets jealous. Louis gets bitten by a snake and San San helps him suck the poisonous blood out. However, it turns out that the snake wasn't even poisonous.

On the beach, Louis and Jessica talk about love. Jessica thinks that having one relationship is enough but Louis believes that as long as a couple is happy now, it doesn't matter what happens in the future. Louis makes fun of Jessica because her sentiments are so old-fashioned. Jessica chases after him and tries to hit him.

Lam Hiu Fung is still pursuing San San. Her dad even tries to help him but San San still rejects him. He sees San San going out with this guy and tries to think of a plan. The next time Lam Hiu Fung sees them together, he confronts the guy telling her that he likes San San and that he won't give up. Well, the guy turns out to be a girl and she's San San's cousin…this was soooo funny.

Sammi has been looking for an old CD for a while and Cheng Zhi Sing buys it for her. She thought Louis bought it at first. Sammi decides to accept Cheng Zhi Sing's proposal. She starts to have doubts because he didn't seem delirious when she accepted.

Jessica is beginning to feel insecure about her relationship with Louis because San San still likes him. Louis shows up a half hour late to a movie with Jessica and San San drove him there. Therefore, she gets very upset. Louis is unsure about what to do so he asks Sammi for help. On their way to find Jessica, Louis sees the stray cat that Jessica said was lost. He brings it back to her and she's really happy to see the kittie. Jessica and Louis kiss. Sammi leaves after she sees that they've reconciled.

Episodes 15-16
Sammi is at the bridal shop trying on different wedding gowns with Jessica at her side helping her choose the right one. At Louis's apartment that night, Jessica contemplates about asking Louis to take wedding pictures with her (just for fun). However, in the end she did not have the nerve to ask. Having no clue about what Jessica was going to ask him, Louis questions his friend, Lam Hiu Fung, who pulls out a wedding gown magazine. Louis misinterprets her intentions and instead thinks that Jessica wants to get married. Jessica laughs at Louis.

The two pairs (Jessica and Louis) and (Sammi and Cheng Zhi Sing) take pictures at the bridal shop. (This scene was really cute and sweetJ). Sammi and Louis also took a picture together.

Lam Hiu Fung keeps on pursuing Lee San San and each time he gets rejected. One night, the two of them met on the Internet. San San was trying to find the right guy while Lam Hiu Fung was trying to find the right girl. Anyways, it was really funny. The two lie about their personal features. After a couple of days of talking on the Internet, the 2 decide that they want to meet each other face to face. They arrange for a meeting at this high class restaurant telling each other what they would wear. Sammi's ex-boyfriend tags along and waits with Lam Hiu Fung at the restaurant. A little while later, Sammi's ex-boyfriend leaves and encounters San San. He quickly calls Lam Hiu Fung to spill the news to him before further truth is revealed. In the end, Sammi's ex-boyfriend's plan of telling Lam Hiu Fung to remove his clothing in the restaurant works and San San does not discover who the guy is. They continue to chat on the Internet each night, but San San threatens that she would discontinue their conversation if they do not meet. With Louis and Sammi's ex-boyfriend's encouragement, Lam Hiu Fung decides to reveal his true identity to San San, who is still clueless as to who the guy is. (She thinks that he is some hunk) The two set up another time to meet, but this time at the bar where Jessica works. Sammi's ex-boyfriend helps Lam Hiu Fung practice the so called right way of approaching San San. It turns out to be a disaster when San San discovers the truth. She was very disappointed and also a little upset at Louis for not telling her earlier.

Jessica and Louis have a very open and trusting relationship. In comparison, Sammi feels that her relationship with Cheng Zhi Sing is no way near theirs. (She wants to contribute more to their relationship but Cheng Zhi Sing has never given her that opportunity as he always took matters within his own hands) Therefore, she calls off the wedding and they become friends again. She also decides that it would be better if she quits her job, but Cheng Zhi Sing asks her to stay. During this period of time, Sammi's feelings for Louis return.

Episode 17 - 18

Sammi is questioned by the ICAC after Cheng Zhi Sing altered a business contract. Cheng Zhi Sing goes and apologizes to Sammi for causing her to be involved in this mess. (ICAC thought that she was somehow involved in changing the contract as she was Cheng Zhi Sing's fiancée) Sammi quits her job, because of the investigation but she was not angry at Cheng Zhi Sing. Instead, she felt sorry for him. At the end, Cheng Zhi Sing was found guilty but did not have to serve time in jail.

Lam Hiu Fung, Louis's friend, has finally given up pursuing Lee San San. He takes the opportunity to meet a lot of different girls on the Internet and goes out with several of them each night hoping to find the right one. At the same time, Louis's uncle is also trying to get together with some rich widow in their neighbor, but was also rejected by her. (The rich widow thinks that Louis's uncle is only after her money.)

Louis and Jessica help Sammi pack her things from the office. While Sammi and Louis return back to her office to pack more things, Jessica starts to move some of Sammi's boxes into the trunk of Louis's car. During the moving process, Jessica loses grip on one of the boxes and several items drop out including the picture frame (with Sammi's and Louis's wedding picture that they took for fun during the time Sammi and Cheng Zhi Sing were taking their real wedding pictures) that she gave to Sammi. Jessica was somewhat stunned when she saw the picture because earlier on when she gave the frame to Sammi, she told her to put a picture of her and someone that she loved.

After discussing this issue with Joe, Jessica decides to speak with Louis about her thoughts. Jessica claims that Louis was the one Sammi loved all along. Therefore, he should be held responsible for the call off of the wedding between Sammi and Cheng Zhi Sing. Not believing a word Jessica tells him, Louis goes and questions Sammi about it. However, Sammi denies it. Taking her word, Louis asks Sammi to help him clear up Jessica's misunderstandings. Therefore, Sammi hands over the wedding picture (of her and Louis) to Jessica and tells her that she only put the picture in the frame because she looked really good in the picture (This was obviously a ly on Sammi's part). In addition, Sammi tells Jessica that she only thinks of Louis as a very good friend. Afterwards, Sammi announces to everyone that she plans to study abroad.

Anyways, during this period of time Jessica's grandma's eye sight and health have been deteriorating. However, Jessica doesn't find out about it until she almost gets run over by a truck and injures her leg and is taken to a hospital. The doctor diagnosed Jessica's grandmother as having cataracts and lung problems telling Jessica that an operation would be necessary. Sammi recommends a top physician to Jessica and eventually helps Jessica transfer her grandmother to a private hospital for the operation. In addition, Sammi also lends Jessica the money she saved up for her education overseas for her grandma's operation expenses. Therefore, Sammi postpones her plan of studying abroad. Jessica is very grateful of Sammi's generosity and tells Louis that in the future if there was anything Sammi wanted she would help her acquire it.

Some time after, Cheng Zhi Sing finds Sammi at the bar where Jessica works and questions Sammi the reason for her calling off the wedding. Sammi provides him with a simple answer "it isn't that important and it no longer matters now" and leaves. Unrelenting, Cheng Zhi Sing goes after Sammi and continues to ask until Sammi can no longer take it. Finally, Sammi admits to still liking Louis. Jessica overhears Sammi and Cheng Zhi Sing's conversation. She is in shock and begins pondering what to do.

Jessica initiates her plan to bring Sammi and Louis back together.

Episode 19-20

Jessica initiates her plan to bring Sammi and Louis back together. Her temper turns to the worst as she snaps at Louis for showing up 5 minutes late to the movies. Louis is puzzled by Jessica's reactions and wonders what he had done wrong. (Jessica is trying really hard to get Sammi and Louis back together)

Joe was leaving for a vacation to Australia. Jessica asks if she could go along, but Joe was reluctant telling her that she should work out her problems with Louis because avoiding him would be no use. At the end, Jessica ends up going with Joe without telling Louis. The day that she left, Louis shows up in front of Jessica's apartment carrying flowers in hopes of making up with her. When he found out she left with Joe, he leaves for the airport hoping that he would be able to catch them. On his way to the airport, Louis listens to a tape-recorded message Jessica left behind. In this message, Jessica tells Louis that she wants to end their relationship because their personalities are different.

Louis is very depress and goes out drinking. One night he gets drunk and Sammi takes him home. The next morning, when Louis is about to drive Sammi back home, they encounter Jessica on her way back from her trip. Jessica sees Sammi wearing Louis's t-shirt and Sammi goes on to explain that Louis threw up all over her clothes so she had to borrow something from him. Louis and Jessica did not say anything to each other.

Everyone thinks that Jessica is going out with Joe. In reality, they're just good friends. One night Louis goes to find Joe telling him to treat Jessica well. Joe tries to explain to Louis that he still had a chance if he liked Jessica, but gets punched by Louis instead. Louis thinks that Joe no longer wants Jessica and wants to give her back to Louis. (this part was funny)

In order to avoid Louis, Jessica, her grandmother, and Dou Dou move away. In addition, Jessica also quits her job at the bar.

Lee San San finally realizes the true nature of Lam Hiu Fung's personality and begins to like him. She even takes the initial step in asking him to go out with her. At first, Lam Hiu Fung declines feeling that he wasn't good enough for her. However, after San San persistence, he accepts her. They are finally a pair.

Sammi goes to look for Louis's boat. When she finds the boat, she begs the owner to sell it back to her but the owner wouldn't. As she was about to leave she runs into Joe with another women. Joe is forced to reveal Jessica's plan to get Sammi and Louis back together. At the clinic, Joe tells Jessica what he's done and she's very pissed at him.

Jessica goes to feed the homeless kitties one night and runs into Louis. They have a short conversation, where Jessica asks Louis why he's still feeding the kittens. Louis says that people change over time and it's hard to look back to the past. Later that night, Jessica goes back to the clinic to think. Joe comes back to the clinic also and Jessica tells him about running into Louis. Joe starts talking and he ends up making Jessica cry. After seeing Louis, Jessica felt that he no longer liked her…that's why she was kindda unstable and Joe just tipped her over the edge.

The next day, Sammi arranges a meeting for Louis and Jessica without them knowing. She was finally able to convince the owner to sell her back the boat and she gave it back to Louis. She asked him if his dream was still to go sailing with the person he loved. Louis tells her that he's no longer that naïve. He now feels that going sailing with a good friend can be just as meaningful. However, Sammi tells him to hold on to that dream and just then, Jessica arrives with Dou Dou.

Sammi reveals to Louis the real reason why Jessica broke up with him-to repay Sammi for lending her money for her grandma's operation. Then Sammi walked aside to let them talk. Louis was upset because he felt that Jessica didn't really treasure their relationship because she gave up their relationship as if it was an object. Seeing how Jessica and Louis were still angry at each other, Rocky and Dou Dou decided to take action-they dug up the compass from the sand which Jessica had originally wanted to give Louis. Louis smiled at the compass and asked Jessica why she didn't throw it out instead. Jessica said that if she threw it out, she'd never be able to get it back again…I guess it was these words that made them get back together again.

Louis and Jessica invited Sammi to go sailing with them, symbolizing the importance of their friendship.

I really enjoyed watching this series. It was very fresh and the dogs were just really cute. I would strongly recommend it.
