I watched this series a few years ago and it wasn't worth watching over. The storyline to the series wasn't very attractive but the artists did an okay job. I can't believe I'm saying this because the scriptwriter is the same one who wrote two of my favorite series: Looking Back in Anger and Heaven's Retribution...It takes a good plot and a cast with chemistry to make an outstanding series. This series just didn't have that...

As the title of the story indicates, this series is about the horse racing industry. Felix lives with his father, Tsang Kong. In general, Felix is a dreamy man with high hopes that someday somthing which he creates will be successful. At first, he wanted to open up a children playland but the idea wasn't successful. Then he opened up a karaoke place, and finally, he realized that he could fulfill his dream in the horse racing industry. The series is about his struggles to succeed.

Amy plays a very miserly and greedy woman who places high regards on money. She and Ada are good friends and they grew up together. Ada is a sweet girl, but she's very ignorant, and unaware of what goes on around her. Felix falls in love with Amy but Ada likes Felix, so there's a love triangle between these three. The relationships are actually kind of humorous because Amy hates Felix's type. She's very materialistic whereas, he's very idealistic. At one point, Amy leaves him because she can no longer accept his personality and his constant failures. During this time, Ada stood by his side and Tsang Kong had hoped that his son would accept her but in the end, Amy came back to him and he married her. (Amy isn't evil or anything. It's just that she really likes money.) Although Ada is saddened, she still wishes the best for her friends.

Wan Yeung Ming is a widow who takes care of the horses in the stable. He has 4 daughters who are still very young. He and Felix later become good friends. Ming has had a very difficult life. His wife is dead and he has 4 daughters to care for. Later, his children died in a car (the air conditioning was left on and they died of carbon monoxide poisoning). Fiona plays a rich girl. Ming saves her life and she falls in love with him, despite the fact that her father is one of the wealthiest men in Hong Kong. Although her father gives them a lot of trouble about being together, in the end, they are together.

Felix starts his career in the horse racing industry after he purchases 3 horses of very good breed. At first, the horses were very bad-tempered but they were later very loyal to him and helped him win many races. Felix later decided to penetrate into the China horse racing market and secured a lot of funds to help him build a track in China. Unfortunately, after the track was built, the Chinese government still refused to grant them the right to open the facility because they considered it a gambling facility (which would be bad for the people). Therefore, the investors were very angry. These investors were actually part of the mafia and when they found out that they wasted so much money on a piece of trashy land in China, they hired hitmen to kill Felix and Ming. The end of the series shows Felix and Ming getting shot. We don't know whether they live or not, but it's assumed that they die. In the meantime, their wives, Amy and Fiona are waiting for them at the airport (Amy and Fiona didn't want their husbands to talk to the mafia but they refused to listen and told their wives to wait for them at the airport).

The ending to the series was pretty sad.
