If you like freaky ghost series, this is a good one. The beginning of the series was really scary. In the beginning, Canti is still a little boy and he lives with his parents and cousin (this is like the 1960s). One day, his dad wins the lottery and his next-door-neighbor, "Chan To" finds out about this, so he and two of his friends devise a plan to steal the money. They do end up robbing Canti's family, but they also kill the entire family during the robbery. Canti (the little boy) gets buried alive but he gets reincarnated as "Chan To's" son. "Chan To's" wife was in labor while the murders were taking place. "Chan To's" mom witnesses the last murder and she's horrified at her son's actions but couldn't bring herself to call the police. The day the murders take place is what is called "gwai zhit" (ghost festival??).

"Chan To" gets rich and Canti grows up in a very wealthy family and he becomes a doctor. He is an extremely caring and kind individual. Canti's grandmother is still very remorseful about the deaths of her neighbors and always brings her son to the temple. However, her good deeds still can't prevent the ghosts of the neighbors from coming back for revenge. Because the grandma is now blind, she has the ability to hear the ghosts (which were Canti's parents in his previous life). They come back seeking revenge and end up pushing the grandma off the hospital roof. Kenix is at the hospital roof smoking pot and witnesses the murder.

The police arrive at the scene and question her. Fiona is in charge of the case. The police find out from Kenix that the grandma was pushed off the roof by two people (which were really the ghosts) but Canti, who was chasing his grandma up to the roof, didn't see these two "people". The police find out that Kenix was smoking pot and ignore her testimony.

Fiona and Canti aren't on very good terms in the beginning because Fiona has really low regards for his dad and believes that he was involved in some illegal issues. However, later on, their misunderstandings are cleared when Canti saves the little boy that Fiona shoots by accident during a shootout with some criminals. Fiona even begins to develop some feelings for Canti.

Kenix gets to know Canti better while she's at the hospital. Later, she began to like him after she broke up with her rotten boyfriend and he seemed to be the only one who cared.

Ada's role in this series is as Canti's cousin during his previous life. She was not lucky enough to have reincarnated but during an incident, she saves his life and from then on, she follows him around (as a ghost of course).

Canti's parents from the previous life start to get really aggressive in their ghost form and "Chan To" has to hire a ghost specialist to help him. He is taught a method of protection for his entire family.

Meanwhile, Kenix gets drunk and accidentally falls off a building (she's upset because Canti wasn't answering her call). Ada was there but she was unable to save Kenix. Canti and Fiona rush to the hospital (from their date---it was sort of a date but not really b/c Canti only thought of her as a friend) and he tries to save her but to no avail. However, Ada realizes that she can enter Kenix's (dead) body and therefore, she assumes Kenix's identity.

Kenix/Ada becomes a kind and lovable female and Canti soon falls in love with her. They date for a while but Kenix/Ada is later killed by Kenix's ex-boyfriend. Ada can no longer inhabit Kenix body since it is now "dead" and Ada reveals her true identity and tells Canti parts about his previous life with her.

Canti is devastated about her death but at the same time, he begins to learn more and more about his previous life. It soon begins to haunt him in his dreams as his other parents (the ghosts) seek him out to help them in their revenge. Later, Canti's body gets taken over by his previous mom and he becomes the vehicle for their revenge. He ends up causing the deaths of his 2 brothers and his older sister and mom. He also tries to kill his good friend Fiona because he (his previous mom) finds out that she is the daughter of one of "Chan To's" friends who participated in the murders. Because Canti can no longer control his body or his mind and he doesn't want to harm Fiona, he commits suicide.

"Chan To" ends up becoming a homeless person and as part of his fate, he in turn gets killed when two other homeless people who rob him of his winning lottery ticket (---like for like---).

At the very end of the series, Fiona goes to the cemetery to visit Canti. While she's there, she believes that she saw the ghosts of Canti and Ada, happily taking a walk.

This was a really scary series at the beginning. The end was very touching and really sad….
