Episodes 1-2

A robbery is about to take place...Wong Hei and Jackie Lui are both patrolling the streets of HK. A robbery takes place in a jewelry store and Jackie is on the scene immediately...He shoots all 3 crooks. Meanwhile, Hei is helping a pregnant woman give birth on a taxi.

Wong Hei and Jackie Lui are both members of the HK "fu ging"--auxiliary police (I'm not too familiar with this concept of auxiliary cops but from what I understand, auxiliary cops are like regular cops. They get paid but they do this as a part time job, a few nights a week. They also have to go thru training to become aux's. If I'm wrong about this...someone please correct me.) Hei is a sergeant auxiliary cop (aux).

Hei's house: He lives with his dad, mom, younger brother and younger sister (May Kwong). Hei isn't related to this family but he treats them like family...Their family owns this small restaurant.

Simon Lo is one of Hei's neighbors that the local kids always pick on. Simon is somewhat mentally retarded so Hei likes to protect him.

Hei rushes off to work that morning that ends up being late. He gets a lecture from his boss because his younger brother apparently borrowed money from a loanshark who went to Hei's company earlier that morning to collect money from him. That night, while Hei was on duty, he saw his boss drive into a lamp post while he was drunk...then his boss switched places with his friend who was sitting next to him. A traffic cop stopped his boss and his boss tried to ask Hei for help lying. Instead of helping him, Hei busted on them...the next day, Hei found himself unemployed...

Hei's friend at the station, a fellow cop, lost his gun when he accidentally left his front door open. Hei tried to help him find the gun. Simon was in the woods nearby and found the guy's ID badge. He ran into Hei and tried to tell him but Hei said he was busy. Hei went to a local high school to try to question a guy there and he ran into an old friend, Elaine Ng, and her father, the principal of that high school. The principal dragged them out for dinner. Elaine seems like the quiet type. She's scared of her dad. While they were eating, Elaine told Hei that her company was hiring so he decided to give it a try.

Simon was out in the streets late at night and he called Hei to tell him that he found the cop's ID. The local kids started picking on Simon again, hitting him. Simon tried to run from them, going into an alley. Finally, out of frustration, he pulled out the cop's badge and a gun. The kids got freaked out. Jackie was patrolling there and saw the situation so he ran up to try to calm Simon. Finally, he pulled the trigger and hit Simon's shoulder. Hei just got there as Jackie shot. Hei went to look at the gun and saw that it was the toy gun that he bought Simon earlier. Hei got really angry and tried to hit Jackie.

At the hospital, Hei found out that Simon's hand may be paralyzed...he looked at Jackie with angrily and Jackie replied that the whole situation was an "accident".

The real gun was found in the same wooded area as where Simon found the badge.

At the police station, Hei finds out that Jackie's transferred to his team. That night, Jackie and Hei had to partner up...so Hei told Jackie to walk the other side of the street. Hei's mom and brother were talking and then Hei's dad showed up, following them. Thinking that he was a thief, Jackie ran up to him and gripped his arm back...Hei ran to the scene and was even more angry that Jackie hurt his father.

Simon's arm was cured by an American doctor...

Hei went on the job interview at Elaine's company and got the job. He's in charge of the supplies in the company. His wo-workers don't like him very much.

Flora's a reporter...

It's Jackie's dad's birthday...Jackie's aunt drags him to dinner with his father. We find out that Jackie comes from a rich family but he doesn't like his dad because his dad was involved with illegal activities...seems like he used to be part of the underworld. When Jackie sees his dad eating with members of the gang, he leaves...

Hei gets along with his co-workers now because he helped one of them.

Jacky speaks on the phone with the landlady and finds out that his brother took his money but hasn't paid the rent in 3 months. The landlady says that she wants to take her house back. Hei says he won't move.

A co-worker is fired and Hei decides to go up and speak to the big boss. He goes into the meeting room and finds out that Jackie is the boss...

Episodes 3-4

The manager that hired Hei dragged him out of the meeting room. While they're on duty that night, Hei asks him to give the guy a chance. Jackie refuses to talk about work while he's on duty.

Flora goes to Hei's house to demand that they move...Hei throws her out.

Hei is assigned to teach little kids traffic laws along with another aux. In the elevator, he finds out that the aux is Flora Chan. One of the little kids isn't picked up by his parents so Hei and Flora drive him home. After she drives the kid home, Flora tells Hei to get out and take a taxi home...

Flora lives with Elaine and her father (the principal). The principal found out that Flora wants to move out and he's sad and worried about her. That night, Elaine is playing with her tarot cards and Flora walks in. Elaine says she'll see the guy of her dreams again the next day. She thinks back to the time of her traffic accident a year ago and the cop who rescued her, Jackie. Flora's tarot cards told her that she'll have trouble getting her house back because of a guy.

Elaine met a guy on the Internet who claims to be the cop who rescued her. They decide to meet each other in person and it turns out to be one of Hei and Jackie's teammates (Dai Lik from Kindred Spirit). She tries to run from him, telling him that it was a mistake but he thinks she wants to go jogging and runs with her.

Jackie showed up at the storage place where Hei and Elaine works and she saw him and starting staring.

During the next teaching session, Hei and Flora find out that the little boy they drove home last time was being abused. They took him home and Hei had a talk with the boy's dad. Flora found out that Hei wanted to stay in the apartment because he was waiting for his mom to return home and pick him up. She decides to continue renting the apartment to him at the same rent.

A guy on the street is robbed by 4 guys and hit in the head with a brick...Jackie and Hei end up arresting all but one of them a few days later when they shoplifted from a 7-Eleven. The last guy also killed a trash lady and they caught him the next night...Flora shows up at the scenes to take pictures. She even goes as far as picking Hei up from work and trying to tape record conversations that she has with him.

Elaine is acting really funny now that she sees Jackie again. She waited at the elevator until he came so that they could be in the same elevator together. She also pushed the buttons to all the floors while Jackie wasn't looking so that she could have a few more minutes with him =) =) heehee

We find out that Flora has a daughter that's a few years old that lives with her cousin.

Hei finds out that Jackie paid for the American doctor to heal Simon's hand and begins to look at him differently. At work, someone tried to accuse Hei was leaving the freezer door open (they work in a meat packaging plant). Hei takes his stand and refuses to admit to doing something that he never did. Jackie believed him and told "those individuals" to stop causing problems. The 2 are beginning to have a mutual respect for each other.

Flora wants to interview Hei's boss, Lam Kei Yun because she's the widow of a very well-respected cop, Mark Kwok...

Episodes 5-6

Flora is transferred to Wong Hei's team. She seems uncomfortable around Lam Kei Yun when she talks about her husband. Flora is in the office by herself and she walks over to Lam Kei Yun's desk and picks up her picture with her husband, Mark Kwok, and looks at it. She thinks back to the past of how Mark saved her one time...she was still a bad girl back then...

Flora told Elaine about being on the same team as Lam Kei Yun. Elaine advised her to switch teams.

Elaine's in the parking garage at work and her car won't start. Jackie came by and checked the car for her. Elaine deliberately drops her wallet which contains a newspaper clipping of the accident in which Jackie saved her. She asks him if he knows the cop who saved her and Jackie smilingly responds that it looked like a guy that immigrated to Canada already. He's obviously trying hard deny that it's him.

Wong Hei and Flora go to his dad's restaurant to eat during break. Hei's dad thinks that his son's dating Flora. Hei's mom doesn't like her.

Flora's picture of Mark drops out of her pocket and Hei picks it up. He finds out that Flora liked Mark in the past.

Elaine is driving Flora to work in her car and Elaine crashes into the car in front of her. It turns out to be Jackie's dad's car (even though they don't know this). Jackie's dad tells her that it's okay and she doesn't have to pay. Flora sees his picture in the newspaper and calls Elaine at work. They find out that the guy's this really rich CEO of a large company. Elaine feels more and more guilty about not paying him and decides to go to his office. She waits for a whole day before seeing him and apologizes and insists that she pays him for part of the damage. Jackie's dad was really nice and told her that if she wanted to pay him back, she could just treat him out to dinner. He took her to one of those streetside eating places and they had a nice chat about father-children relationships.

Jackie's dad is part of the mafia. His dad's assistant is named "7 gor" in the series. Their gang is having trouble with another guy whom they call out for a "talk". The guy is disrespectful so Jackie's dad and "7gor" decide to teach him a lesson. Soon a gang fight broke out and Hei's team was called to the scene. Jackie saw his dad in the alley, but let him go. When Jackie got home, he was angry with his father.

Jackie's dad and aunt went to his workplace to find him. Elaine found out that he was Jackie's dad. Everyone was surprised that a rich guy like Jackie was working in a small company and not for his dad.

Jackie was on duty at a road block in the street. He saw "7 gor's" car and decided to search it. One of the guys in the car had a bag of "pills" so Jackie arrested all of them.

Episodes 7-8

Jackie dislikes "7 gor" a lot and is trying hard to throw him in jail. Hei tries to tell Jackie separate his personal affairs from work. Furthermore, he tries to dissuade Jackie from being so "rude" to "7 gor" because he's only a part-time cop...after work, he can't carry a gun around to protect himself. Outside the police station, a guy tries to run Jackie over...actually, he was only playing with him. Hei came out and saw the situation and tried to help him. When the guy saw Hei, he drove off.

In Hei's dad's restaurant: Flora and Hei are talking about Jackie. Flora dug up all she coulf find on "7 gor". They found out that Jackie's dad put him through law school. A few years ago, he was involved in a firearms case but was released.

Flora was at the shooting range interviewing someone who was going to compete in a gun competition. The guy told Flora that there was someone who shot better than him who just didn't want to compete...it turned out to be Jackie. Flora watched Jackie shoot and noticed how good he was...Jackie's shooting reminded her of Mark's shooting skills.

Jackie's dad is worried about him and wants him to apologize to "7 gor". Jackie refuses to do so. The next day, Jackie finds his office a mess.

Hei and Flora are patrolling the streets. She's a little sick and he seems very concerned. Flora sees her daughter and cousin in a restaurant and waves to her. The little girl comes out and talks to Flora. The little girl then puts Hei's hand on Flora's and tells him to take good care of her "auntie" while she's sick. Hei is embarrassed and quickly removes his hand.

Hei's beginning to fall for Flora. He asked Elaine if Flora was still feeling sick.

"7 gor's" so-called "brothers" are angry at Jackie because he arrested him. Therefore, Jackie and Elaine were caught by his men when they were in the parking garage. They were taken to a mahjong place...Hei was in a van and saw them so he followed them in. Jackie was beaten up in a room while Hei was beaten up outside because he insisted on finding Jackie. Luckily, Jackie's dad arrived so Jackie and Elaine were released. Jackie told his dad to release Hei and asked Elaine to keep this thing a secret. Hei and Jackie both showed up to work---Hei's faced was all bruised to it was kindda funny. Jackie insisted that Hei saw the wrong person (he really didn't want to talk about his dad and reveal that his dad was part of the mafia...seems like he doesn't like his dad too much).

There's a new case where two people are burglarizing homes.

Hei and Flora were patrolling the streets when he saw his sister with a guy. Hei walked up to the guy when his sister went into a store and started questioning him and making sure that his sister was safe.

At home, the principal (Elaine's dad) told Flora that Hei was a pretty nice guy and to consider dating him. Flora said that she didn't like him...there were certain guys that you can only be friends with.

Flora suspects Jackie's family is part of the mafia. She's curious as to why the only son of very wealthy family would want to work for a small company instead of working for his dad. She asked Jackie for an interview but he refused.

Jackie's aunt went to find Elaine...later, Elaine told Jackie that the food stall ("dai pai dong") that he used to eat at with his family was closing down. Jackie went there and saw his dad and aunt there. They ate together and Jackie's aunt was very pleased that Jackie showed up. However, Jackie told his dad that he'd never work for him. When Jackie went back to the office, he brought Elaine some food but then, he told her these sick stories and she couldn't touch the food anymore.

Jackie's dad bought over the company he was working at and Jackie told him that he was quitting.

The 2 burglers went to rob Hei's house but his brother and sister came home during the burglery. His brother got away but his sister was captured. Hei and Jackie were on patrol and they were called to the scene. Hei climbed into his house from the roof and starting fighting the guys. Jackie busted the door open and shot one guy.

Someone was hired to kill "7 gor".

"7 gor" showed up at Jackie's dad's company after the takeover. Jackie's dad threatened to close the company down if Jackie quit his job.

Episodes 9-12

Jackie's angry at his dad for trying to use the workers to pressure him to continue working at the company.

"7 Gor" gets shot by someone in the underworld. Hei and his partner rush to the scene and Hei continues the chase but the suspect is nowhere to be seen. Jackie and Flora are also on the beat and the run into the suspect. Jackie is held at gunpoint and FLora is forced to put her gun down despite Jackie's warnings. Flora didn't want Jackie to be harmed b/c she's beginning to like him. However, she likes him b/c he's like Mark. "7 gor" is rushed to the hospital and he's fine. He wants the guy who hired a hitman to kill him to pay for what he did...however, Jackie's dad decided to just give him a little punishment. "7 Gor" was upset and took the matter into his own hands.

Jackie left the company so Hei and Elaine decided to quit also.

Hei ran into Flora in the street. He's still unemployed. Flora loses her bracelet so Hei stays to help her find it.

Elaine's still unemployed also. Her dad's been complaining that she's getting lazy...

Hei gave Flora her bracelet back and she's really happy b/c it was a birthday present from Elaine. Later that night, Hei waits outside the station for Flora and he tells her that he likes her...however, Flora, not wanting to hurt his feelings, brushes the whole thing off as a joke so Hei is forced to play along.

Hei's dad is acting weird...there's a woman asking him for money. We find out that it's Hei's biological mom (the one who left him when he was a kid). Hei and Flora are out patrolling and they see a little boy carrying a huge bag of rice so Hei decides to help him...his mom turns out to be Hei's biological mom so this kid is Hei's half-brother. Hei's parents are arguing because his mom thinks his dad has another woman.

Jackie wants to start his own business so he asks Hei and Elaine to work for him.

Hei was following his dad and found out that he was with that woman (his biological mom) again (at this point, Hei still doesn't recognize her). After his dad leaves, Hei follows the woman and checks her ID...he finds out that its his real mom. Hei went to find his half-brother...he didn't tell the boy anything but left his phone # with him.

Hei and Jackie were at his new company trying to fix things up...they started talking about Flora. Hei called Flora for Jackie and Jackie asked her out. Flora and Jackie were supposed to meet at the Star Ferry but they missed each other...Disappointed, Jackie went back to the office and Elaine was there wiping the desks and cabinets. He asked her why she liked that cop who rescued her and Elaine responded that there was no "why". She told him to close his eyes and count to 5 and the person he liked would be standing there...Jackie laughed at the silly idea. Jackie drove her home and Elaine told him that she had some books for him so he waited downstairs for her. He decided to try out that close your eyes and count to 5 thing and it really worked! When he opened his eyes, he saw Flora...Flora was mad that he didn't show up but they realized that it was a misunderstanding and made up. Elaine came down and saw them holding hands and was sad.

In her room, Elaine rips apart the newspaper clipping of Jackie, knowing that she now has no chance. Jackie went to tell Hei how happy he was.

Hei's half-brother calls him and he finds out that his biological mom owes the loanshark $30,000...he decides to repay it for her.

Hei and Flora are on patrol and see that Jackie's dad had his wallet stolen. He was slightly injured so Jackie went to the hospital to see him but when he saw "7 Gor" there, he left. Hei told Jackie that his dad was injured because of the family portrait in his wallet. Jackie's aunt urged him to treat his dad better. After thinking it over, Jackie decides to go back and work for his dad. He hired Elaine as his secretary and made Wong Hei a manager. Jackie was named the vice-CEO. Both Hei and Elaine think that their positions are too high.

While Hei was on duty, he caught his mom robbing and hitting a man. Therefore she was taken to the station and charged with assault....she found out that Hei was her son and tried to apologize to him. Hei told Flora that he found his real mom.

Hei tried to go and ask the guy not to sue his mom...

Jackie's tracking all the illegal activities that his dad and "7 gor" are involved in. In one incident, he asked Elaine to call the cops, and his dad and "7 gor" lost a lot of money on smuggled cigarettes. Jackie took his father to their old house and they had a long talk. Jackie asked his dad to stop doing illegal things and his dad decided to think about this.

Flora's daughter "Tung Tung" called her while she was working. She asked Flora to take her to Ocean Park but Flora never heard her. "Tung Tung" waited outside her school for Flora but Flora never showed up. She was out with Jackie. Hei, who was patrolling the area, found "Tung Tung" in the street and took her back to the station. Flora brought Jackie home to see Elaine's dad. Elaine came home and tried to drag Flora out of the room without Jackie noticing...she told her that "TUng Tung" was at the station. Flora rushed to the station and "Tung Tung" was mad at her. Elaine accidentally revealed to Hei that "Tung Tung" was Flora's daughter.

Flora is debating on whether or not to tell Jackie that she has a daughter.

Hei's mom has to go to court.

Episodes 13-16

Hei was forced to go to court and testify against his mom. In the end, she didn't have to go to jail.

Hei and his mom's relationship was getting better now. However, she overheard Hei's stepmom criticizing her saying that she left her son many years ago so she now has no right to come back into his life. Hei's real mom decided that it would be best to leave...she left a note for Hei telling him to treat his parents well.

Elaine's dad has severe psychological problems...he always thinks things have happened when they haven't. In one incident, he thought he saw a body and called the cops.

Flora's cousin (the one who's taking care of her daughter) wants to immigrate to Canada and bring "Tung TUng" with her. Flora acts like she's all okay with it but when her cousin leaves and Hei walks over, she starts crying.

Flora and Jackie are out on a date and they walk by a crystal figurine store...They see 2 figurines on display: a clown and a boat. They were admiring the figurines and Jackie bought her the clown because it was the one he liked but FLora liked the boat. That night, Flora tells Elaine that she thinks she has "communication" problems with Jackie. She feels that she can tell Hei anything but things are different with Jackie.

Jackie's dad decides to officially step out of the underworld. Jackie gets a call from his dad at the hospital. He and "7 gor" were attacked and "7 gor" saved him. Jackie treats "7 gor" better now. However, "7 gor" is the real matermind behind the illegal activities that are continuing...he wants to continue the illegal business.

While the team was patrolling the streets, they captured "Sai Bee" who was Mark's ex-co-worker (he was Mark's 'seen yun'). "Sai Bee" recognized Lam Kei Yun as Mark's widow. "Sai Bee" is blackmailing Lam Kei Yun....

Flora thinks that Mark was killed because Lam Kei Yun took illegal money years ago...She goes to confront Lam Kei Yun, who finally finds out that Flora was Mark's "other woman". "Sai Bee" finally reveals that it was Mark who took stole money while he was out on an operation. Flora apologized to Lam Kei Yun and told her about her daughter. Lam encouraged Flora to keep "Tung Tung" in Hong Kong.

Flora and Jackie are having problems with their relationship. Jackie never seems very concerned about Flora...he feels that everyone should ahve their own secret. Flora feels the Elaine knows Jackie better and Jackie feels that Hei knows Flora better.

Elaine is beginning to suspect that something is wrong with her father because he claims to repeatedly see robbers and murderers.

After advice from Elaine, Jackie decides to take the initiative and do things to make Flora happier. After their date that night, he tried to kiss her but Flora avoided his kiss and ran upstairs. Jackie doesn't know what went wrong. In her room, Flora tells Elaine that she thinks she's dating Jackie because he reminds her of Mark.

Elaine tried to help Jackie out by telling him that Flora likes to see musicals so they went and bought tickets. When Jackie called Flora to ask her out, Flora said that she had work to do...In reality, Hei had encouraged Flora to confront her cousin about wanting "Tung Tung" back. Flora asked Hei to go with her. Flora's cousin and her husband were reluctant to let her have her daughter back but finally promised. However, "Tung Tung" didn't want to be with Flora; she wanted to live with her "parents".

On the other side, Jackie and Elaine were at a restaurant having coffee when someone attacked Jackie and tried to kill him with a knife. Luckily, he was okay. It was someone that "7 gor" sent to kill him.

Hei was trying to console Flora because se started crying and she hugged him...Jackie and Elaine drove by and saw them hugging. Flora's daughter called her and told her not to be angry.

Elaine told Hei that she and Jackie saw them...Elaine questioned Hei about his feelings for Flora and he admitted that he liked her. Likewise, Elaine admitted that he liked Jackie. Jackie called Flora and asked her if she was okay because he saw her crying.

Flora went to find Jackie and told him that she wanted to take him somewhere. She took him to her cousin's place where they were getting on a taxi, ready to head off to the airport. Flora hugged her daughter and gave her a present...Flora started crying and after they left, Flora told Jackie that "Tung Tung" was her daughter. Jackie was very understanding and Flora felt much better after telling him. She promised that she'd be honest in their relationship.

Elaine finally found out that her dad had serious psychological problems after a security guard called her. Her dad had accused a man of robbing him...however, the security camaras had everything taped so they knew that he was lying. Elaine took her dad to the doctor. He told her he was going to quit his job as the principal after the semester ended.

Jackie and his dad went back to their old house and cooked dinner. His dad gave him some advice and Jackie finally decided to introduce FLora to his family and bring her home for dinner so he called her. Jackie's dad was really happy and the next day, he asked a jeweler to go to his office so that he could pick out a present for Flora.

"7 gor" was trying to kill the guy he hired to kill Jackie. However, the assasin got away and went to find Jackie's dad. Jackie's dad decided to confront "7 gor" so he told Jackie's aunt to go home first. Elaine's dad saw Jackie's dad and "7 gor" get into a car together. "7 gor" killed Jackie's dad.

Flora was at Jackie's house and they were waiting for his dad to come back for dinner. "7 gor" comes in and said that Jackie's dad was kidnapped. They paid the ransom money but the body was found the next day. Jackie wants to avenge his father's death but his aunt wants him to stay away from the illegal gang.

The murder hit the headlines in the newspapers and Elaine's dad recalls when he last saw Jackie's dad. He goes to the police station, but Hei, knowing that Elaine's dad is sick, takes him to another room and pretends that he's taking down the testimony when he's really not.

Jackie's very sad over his father's death. When Flora tries to ask about the death, Jackie hides things from her and this leaves Flora feeling very frustrated. Hei urges FLora to find Jackie but he doesn't answer her calls.

"7 gor" is acting especially nice towards Jackie's aunt. He's probably thinking of "using" her since her and Jackie are in charge of the company now.

One of Lam Kei Yun's co-worker's expresses his love for her. She tries to brush him off gently...

Episodes 17-18

Lam Kei Yan rejected him because she can not have children. That's the reason why Mark had an

affair …because he wanted to have a child. But in the end, she accepts his love and they start going out.

Jackie is looking for his dad's killer. He saw a suspect while patrolling and caught that guy. He let him go and told him to contact him if he found out anything about about a man named Chan Tung. (Jackie believes that Chan Tung was the one who caused his father's death. Unfortunately, Wong Hei saw this and was mad at Jackie. In the dressing room, Wong Hei advised Jackie not to stray from the "right path" in life.

Jackie receives a mysterious phone call, he leaves immediately. Wong Hei suspects something and follows

Jackie. That was the man who called Jackie and told him where Chan Tung is. When Jackie came to the bar to ask Chan Tung about his father's death, all of the gang members started beating him. Wong Hei is

looking for Jackie everywhere. Finally he found Jackie in the bar. Hei advised Jackie to call the police and let the police solves these problems. Jackie refused and told Wong Hei that his father was a gang member. He couldn't call the police because he doesn't want people to know about his father's real business (In essence, he didn't want to ruin hi dad's reputation now that he was dead already) . Jackie was feeling very depressed.

Elainee receives a phone call from Jackie. He wanted to take off for several days and leave Hong Kong. Elainee's dad came to Jackie's company to yell at Wong Hei for not believing him about he saw regarding Jackie's dad's murder. He left the company and in the elevator he saw the murderer, it was "7 Gor". Elainee's dad called Wong Hei immediately, he was almost tell him who was the murder but "7 Gor" killed

him before he could speak.

"7 Gor" was planning to take over Jackie's company.

Elaine's dad's body was found next day. Elaine and Flora were very sad. Wong Hei tried to find the video

tape that recorded who was in the elevator with Elaine's dad on the day of the murder, but the tape was missing.

Flora was very upset that Jackie left Hong Kong without telling her. He went to find her when he returned to HK. Jackie told her that he was very frustrated and went to Canada. He came back to Hong Kong because he saw the news about Elainee's dad. Flora was mad at him because Jackie didn't tell her anything even though she was his girlfriend. But she was happy again when Jackie gave her the plant.

Jackie found out that Elaine's dad's death somehow related to his dad's death. He watched all of the video tapes of the company elevator to see if there are any clues.
