Plot:

A mother who spent over 25 years searching for her long-lost son finally finds out that he was kidnapped by a couple who couldn't have children. As fate would have it, this couple lost the little boy near Temple Street and from then on, no one knew what happened to him. Armed with what little memory she had left of her son, the mother heads to Temple Street and based purely on maternal instincts, believes Hacken to be her long-lost son. Therefore, she and her other son, Edmond, move to Temple Street in hopes of finding clues to prove that she is right.

Unfortunately for her, Hacken and Edmond get off to a bad start from the beginning: one a Temple Street big brother/bum and the other a dedicated cop. Hacken has a good heart though. He treats his 5 good friends and the people of Temple Street very well and everyone looks up to him. Edmond has his own group of cop friends who are supportive of him as well after a little misunderstanding at first.

After a DNA test proves Hacken's identity, he is confused as to how he should treat his new family. However, he soon finds out that his mother has leukemia and doesn't have long to live. Therefore, he moves back home and his new family tries to change him...poor Hacken...no more late night partying...and to top that, a suspicious younger brother who thinks that he's hopeless.

To complicate matters, the two fall for the same girl, Michelle, who grew up with Hacken. Meanwhile, Margaret, Edmond's co-worker, adds to this complicated relationship. At first, she likes Edmond, but after Edmond gets together with Michelle, she starts to like Hacken. These two have quite a few funny moments...Later, Michelle finds out that Hacken likes her and wavers a bit in her relationship with Edmond. To make things worse, Hacken and Michelle's Temple Street friends get into some legal trouble and Edmond is forced to arrest them, further straining their relationship. However, in the end, Michelle and Edmond clear their misunderstanding and get married. Their mother has a bone marrow transplant and recovers. Margaret left HK for LA because she didn't want to force Hacken into a relationship with her. In the end though, he realizes that he does love her and decides to go to LA to find her...one big happy ending!

My Opinion:

The plot may be a little old, but the story was pretty good. Series was a bit slow in the beginning but picks up after episode 12. Good mother-son, sister-brother relationships. The love relationship was a bit cheesy though...

Worth Watching?

If you enjoy watching series about families then you should enjoy this series. For those seeking an action-packed cop series, this won't be right for you.!
